So Cal Mobile Detailing

I have had Israel detail my motorcycle multiple times. Its gloss back with a lot of chrome. I had a previous shop do my wheels and left the cleaner on too long and it discolored the rims. Israel spent a ton of time getting them back to original. I highly recommend him.

To get this out of the way, disregard all the 1 star review that does not have «ISRAEL» in it. Reason I say this is Israel works alone. The one star reviews you read here is for another company whose name is very similar to his. Israel has had So Cal Mobile Detailing name for almost a decade and is the only reason he does not want to change it.
Now for the review.
I own a 2012 pearl white Accord that just went through almost 8,000 miles coast to coast to coast trip and it looks sharp!!! Israel loves what he does and will not half-​ass the job you paid for. With that said, please don’t short change him or ask for «extra» detailing. The service menu on the web tells you what you are paying for. This is a labor intensive job, often under the blazing sun. Don’t expect to pay for a $ 10 drive– through car wash when you want a car detail. Don’t ask to fix a scratch when all you paid for is a basic car wash (which is still better than drive-​through). I think Israel is nice enough that he would work outside the scope of what you pay for, but that would be unfair to him and to people that actually pay for his services.

I have used them before and they did a great job. I then purchased a living social coupon for my husband and myself, made an appointment a few weeks ago and no call no show. When I tried calling a few times it went straight to voicemail. After reading the reviews I decided a refund was the safest way to go. I am disappointed that they disregarded their own deal.
Update: the phone number that is listed is not the right phone number. They showed up an hour late and did not call or let me know they were running late so the living social deal was already canceled. I informed them that the numbers were wrong so hopefully it will improve

Like everyone else, I scheduled an appointment 3 weeks in advance and no one ever showed up or bothered to call. Terrible business, do not recommend.

Same as the others… I tried to use my Living Social voucher for over three months and they never returned my emails or phone call. LS ended up refunding my money because even they couldn’t contact them.

Worst «detail» Ive ever had. $ 160 for a wash and quick wipe down of the interior. I can get a better job for 15 bucks at a Chevron station. Didnt wash or wax it well (bug splatter left on hood and bug poop on roof), didnt clean door jambs or vents, didnt bother to clean the rims at all (still brake dust left!), and didnt even clean the rear window. Just horrible. It wasnt even a detail… just a wash. I called to complain and Israel offered a few dollars as a refund. Great, now its a $ 130 wash. Total ripoff. Look elsewhere. This guy doesnt know how to DETAIL a vehicle.

Living Social deal disaster. Purchased for my daughter as a gift. She’s been trying to schedule for almost two months. Same automated reply. Terrible! We’re giving up before the voucher expires and I’ve requested a refund like everyone else!

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I bought a voucher from Living Social and tried to contact them by phone and email about 5 times each way. When I sent an email, I immediately received an automatic response stating they were busy and were scheduling out at least 3 weeks in advance. I sent an email 4 weeks later and still got the same response, and never got a personal email from them. When I called them, I always reached their answering machine and never got a response. I finally contacted Living Social and got a refund. STRONGLY recommend you forget this company.

This place has a complete disregard for communication and customer service. I purchased a living social deal for car detailing and a car wash which I have been trying to redeem for over a month. I have emailed and contacted the owner to schedule an appointment and I receive the same automated email saying they are very busy right now. The phone always goes to voicemail without a return call. After reading the other reviews I see that many people are having the same problem. I’ve given up on setting up an appointment and I am requesting a refund for my deal.

Had to ask for a refund on my Living Social deal. This company never called me back or responded to my emails.

Don’t bother to contact them. You’ll receive this message: «Hello thank you for sending us your appointment request we are working on a big project now and cannot respond right away we will be responding at times. We are keeping the schedule busy meaning we are answering to emails constantly. We are booking in order as the emails come in. We are also booked about three weeks ahead. We apreciate your patience and we are looking forward to detailing your vehicle.

This is the same message I have received each time I tried to contact them for 4 weeks. When I called there was a message that no one is available but to leave a detailed message. I finally stopped trying.

This place is horrible to get a hold of! I have been trying for weeks! They never answer their phones, return their messages and if you try emailing them… they bounce back undelivered! I will not use them for any services as this is unsatisfactory. Thumbs down, do not recommend! If you purchased a Amazon Local coupon for them GOOD LUCK! Save your time and money and ask for refund!

Hard to schedule and then no one ever showed and no communication. Had a living social deal and asking for refund

I saw the living social deal and decided to call the owner before purchasing. I went to the website and to their facebook page, but no where did they have a list of services provided or prices. When I called there was no answer and the voice-​mail was full. I sent a text to the phone and was called back within an hour. We were able to set up a time and date that worked for both of us, this part was relatively easy. And he gave me the same deal that’s on living social.
I have a 1997 Honda CRV that I purchased recently, so I wanted a full interior detail and exterior wash. The CRV is actually in really good shape inside (for its age) so I didn’t think it would be that hard of a job. I am going through cancer treatment and need a clean environment, which is what I explained to Israel on the phone. He assured me that interior would be steamed clean. Israel was on time, pleasant and got to work right away. It took him about 2.5 hours. I quickly looked over his work before he left because I had a doctors appointment to head to.
The seats and carpet came out great, but he missed vacuuming underneath the cargo area carpet. And after further inspection, it didn’t seem like he did any cleaning other than the upholstery. My brother got in the car the next day and swiped his finger on various places, such as the vents and bottom of the door panel storage compartment, and there was dirt and debris. I wiped the steering wheel with an anti-​bacterial wipe and the wipe was black. I opened the cup holders and there was still sticky coffee stains. I paid $ 100 total and my brother didn’t feel like I got a proper interior detail. My brother ended up calling Israel back and asking if he would be willing to return and going over the areas again. Israel did return for around 30 mins and quickly left. Once again it didn’t look like he did much other than vacuum under the cargo mat.
I’m giving 3 stars because there was good communication, he did a good job with the upholstery and because he agreed to return. But I was not impressed with his «cleaning» of the consoles, door panels, or any other non-​upholstery surface in the car.

Overall a pretty good experience. Isreal is a very nice man. I was happy with his service. I texted him after I saw the living social deal and reading his Unilocal reviews, and he offered me the same price to go directly through him. He set an appointment just 2 days later. He showed up on time, cleaned my car inside and out by himself in just 2 hours. I think he could have spent a little longer and been more thorough. The only thing I am really disappointed with, and the reason i dropped a star, is missing some obviously dirty spots in my car and missing some stains on the seats, which is the MAIN reason I paid for a detail in the first place.

This guy was a savior! I had purchased a different mobile detailing from living social but the guy cancelled my appointment and dodged my calls when I wanted to reschedule. I complained to living social, they referred me to this company & thank god! I wanted to get my car detail because were about to have our baby any day now, my car was not dirty to begin with. Little things here and there but over all very do-​able. I called and booked an appointment got the first avaliable appointment, he called back and asked if he could come earlier. I was all for it, since I had an appointment later that day. He came early on appointment day, cleaned inside and out! Got most of the stains but took a star off because he missed a couple of spots. Overall he did a great job and I appreciate him coming out ASAP, definitely would recommend him to friends and family.

My girlfriend gave me a groupon for my bday and I used it to get my jeep liberty detailed. As other reviewers commented, it is very hard to get ahold of these guys. I emailed and called multiple times and never got a response. Fortunately, they answered one time when I called and set up the first available appointment which was 3 weeks out. Initially, I was not thrilled with the service I was receiving.
Once the day arrived I was tied up in meetings at work and unable to even let these guys in my vehicle. I reluctantly gave them my apartment gate code and left the jeep unlocked. I even left a tip inside prior to them doing any work, trusting that they would do a good job and not just take the money and run.
When I left that morning my jeep was very dirty inside and out. When I got home I was pleased to find it looking nicer than when I bought it. They cleaned it very well and got some horrible stains out of my seats and carpet. Also, I don’t know what they used on my tires but they were glossy/​shiny for weeks! Overall, I was really impressed (especially since I never even talked to the guys and they knew I wasn’t there to check their work).

everything steam cleaned the carpets and steering wheel. love my car like its new again. had a nasty coffee stain on the side panel and it has now disappeared. book an appointment and he will take care of you

Good job, except…
Got the living social deal. It was nice that someone canceled so my car was detailed earlier than expected. I was at work and the car was at home. Communication was good, all texting which is fine with me, up until I got home from work and noticed half of my car emblem on the trunk was gone. I texted him immediately about it, that was a week ago and still no response. So I’m S.O.L. With the emblem it seems.
Here’s a tip for everyone that wants to use his services, be there at the time he shows up and go through the car with him with the emblems and trims that you think you think will break off during polishing, so he knows it was there and both agreed. At least he can’t say «it wasn’t there before» or some other excuse like that.

I’ve a car dealership & we use so cal detailing at least once a week. After using several detailing people, these are so far the best detail guys in town. They’ll do the job right the first time & interior wont be wet by the time they’re done.
Israel has done more than 50 cars for us & everytime he does a flawless job. His prices are very reasonable, he puts a lot of effort into his work & when he’s done car looks like new both from inside out.
I will recommend him to anyone, other detail people leave interior wet & after a day it starts smelling, use so cal detail; they will dry the interior completely before they leave.
