San Diego Charter

I am a youth director of a church in San Diego. I cannot speak to any party transportation but I can speak to group travel.
I love this company. They have taken my students to Lake Mead, and to the Mountains in San Bernandino. This last trip they took us down Big Bear Mountain during El Nino. Strong wind, crazy rain, and limited visibility. They got us down in a timely manner and were super safe. I was impressed.
Here is what I like:
–They are consistent and always on time
–They all speak great english, honestly, this is a huge plus and I hope they don’t change this to save money on payroll (this is not racist, it is a fact. When you are planning a trip that involves safety and security of 100 kid then you want someone you can easily communicate with).
–Safety is a priority of theirs.
–We have taken a 49 Pax bus and a smaller bus before from SD CHARTER. Both were great. The bigger one is awesome. It has leather seats and is very comfy. Even has some cool lights for the kids
–The drivers and all workers are quality and always get back to you in a timely manner
–They treat our kids good. I have had bus drivers that yell at our kids because they are loud or crazy. Bus drivers need to know that they are transporting kids to a church camp and they are excited and young. The kids will be wild and I love that these guys «get that.»
–Their price was great.
–I would recommend this company to you. Especially if it is for group transportation
Here are some negatives or things they could improve on:
–Tvs in the busses (I have a trip to Brianhead, Utah and I wont use SD CHARTER because they do not have TVS.)
–Bigger busses that seat 57 Pax. Maybe some Van Hool’s in their fleet
–Busses that can go longer distances. I dont know if their busses are ready for bigger trips. 13+ hours with mountainous terrain.
Although I think these are the things these guys can improve on, I still give them five stars because you should totally use them but be aware of these minor things above :)
Do not skimp on your busses. It is the most important part of your trip. I have horror stories of times I have skimped on busses. These guys work with me to get me a good price but still provide amazing drivers and quality safey.
Whatever you do, do not use FIVE STAR TOURS.

Doug and Amber were great to work with! I used San Diego Charter for my family reunion winery/​brewery tour over the holidays. By far the BEST party bus I’ve ever rented! Beautiful, spacious, modern and courteous driver. Will definitely use them again!

I recently used SD Charter for my 30^th birthday, and booked all three wineries through them as well. We started a bit later than expected, but our bus driver was accommodating and would text me when we needed to head on to our next stop. Our three stops were aware that we were arriving and gave us our tickets/​tokens with no hassle, super convenient.
The booking was done mostly through email, Melissa and Amber were very quick to respond even when I was only getting quotes.
I would recommend anyone to use it and will keep them in mind for our next event. Thank you again!

We used SD Charter for shuttles for our wedding last September and had a great experience! Office staff was friendly and professional, shuttles were on time, drivers were friendly, and loved the all in one pricing!

Great service! Harold was our driver for our holiday party wine tour. Everything went smoothly and he was prompt. We extended our tour a little longer than planned. Definitely recommend SD Charter for our next tour!

I recently rented a bus with SD charter for a brewery tour throughout North San Diego County. Melissa and Amber were both very helpful when I spoke with them over the phone. Not only did they help set up the reservation, they also recommended breweries for us to stop at that I had never heard of. The bus was clean and comfortable and Jeff, our driver, let us plug in our devices to bump our own tunes and keep the party going. I’ll definitely be using their services next time I need to rent a party bus!

My friends and I could not have been happier with the service we received from SD Charter. They were very easy to work with and the driver arrived at our pick up location right on time. He was friendly and super accommodating and just made the experience very easy for us. The bus was even better than expected and I will definitely use this company for my next event!

The week of our wedding we decided we wanted a party bus to get ourselves and guests back to our hotel. Luckily we worked it out with SD Charter at the last minute, and we could not have been happier with our decision! I have been on my fair share of party buses, but their 30-​passenger limo bus was AMAZING! It looked brand new and had all the bells and whistles, like fun lighting effects and a great sound system. I only wish we had gotten it for a little longer, because that was one of the most fun elements of our wedding. Really made for an awesome after party.

We used San Diego Charter for my 40^th birthday. They are very professional, reasonably priced, the bus was clean, smooth ride, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I’ve never rented a party bus for any reason and after talking to a variety of companies, i chose this company. They were informative and personable. I was still not sure of the experience but was praying for the best. WE HAD A FREAKING BALL. Our driver, Harold, was a little early to pick us up and called me prior to his arrival. He was wonderful. He got us there and was very attentive and accomodating to all of us ladies, even after we had a few drinks. What a pleasure it was to do business with this company and trust me, we will be doing more business in the near future. If you need a bus that is clean, stylish, comfortable and accomodating, you can’t go wrong with this company. They were the perfect company to help me celebrate my mother’s 79^th birthday and I am so grateful for all the attention we received. Thank you again SD Charter. You are now my official party bus company.

Another successful outing using SD Charter. I’ve used them many times for different events. This weekend was for going to Del Mar races with 30 friends. We had a killer bus and were able to tailgate before heading in. They’re always on time picking up and dropping off. And the drivers have always been professional and helpful. They are my go to and will continue to use them

On time, easy to work with, met expectations and great price. Chris, our driver, was professional and accomodating. I would use San Diego charter again.

Charted a bus for a brewery tour for my birthday. The bus was awesome and our driver was fantastic! My friends and I had an amazing time, and I didn’t feel overcharged one bit. Fair prices, fun bus, nice staff. Five stars well deserved.

They were great! We had a mini family reunion come to San Diego to do a bunch of brewery tours and Doug and Melissa made the process smooth and easy. Up front pricing is all inclusive (including tip), which made it convenient so there was no hassle at the end of the night.
The 12 person bus was awesome and actually big enough for 12 (very tall) adults: clean, good sound system, and included 2 ice buckets and room for a cooler. Our driver Chris was on time and made everything easy over the 9 hours visiting multiple breweries. Will definitely use them again on next year’s tour!

For my recent birthday I only needed a one way bus and a lot of companies have minimums — especially on a Saturday night so I knew it might be more tricky than your typical reservation. One even had a 5 hour minimum when I only needed a one way ride. Ha, no thank you.
Conveniently, I was able to work almost completely over email smoothly and quickly with Amber and Melissa. While a quick phone call can be helpful in customer service transactions, it’s so much easier on the consumer end (ME) to get details in writing so that I can compare companies and their pricing without getting them mixed up.
When my first choice of bus with SD Charters was already taken, they were able to offer me a bus in the price range I was looking for and it turned out to be even better than I’d imagined. The bus was enormous for our group of 30, we pilled in with beers in hand and danced all the way until we got to our destination.
While we easily could have taken Lyft/​taxis considering our plan was to get down town for Monster Jam and it wasn’t a long distance, I think we made the right choice. There is no way it would have been near as much fun!
Thanks to Tony for driving us around, taking the long way to take full advantage of the hour and for picking up the phone in the AM when we’d (finally) figured out we were missing some of our gear from the night before!
Booking was easy, the staff was excellent and the bus was immaculate. Absolutely a five star experience!

The owner gave us a great deal for my boyfriends 40^th birthday party celebration, and the driver was professional, safe, and punctual. The party bus was clean, ran smooth, and the music system was amazing. This party bus made the entire celebration a success, and we were able to dance and unite everybody under one roof. I highly recommend this company, and renting a party bus for your large group celebration !

I’ve never actually been in charge of renting a party bus for a group, but this being my first experience, I can’t imagine a better one. Doug was very accommodating for our group needs and gave us a great price. The bus actually arrived to pick us up a little early and our driver Anthony was really nice and did a great job driving us back and forth from Sleep Train Amphitheater. This will definitely be my go-​to from now on and I will highly recommend them to anyone who needs their service. We had the 30 passenger bus and it was really nice and clean and even at capacity, it didn’t feel overcrowded

Been on a lot of party busses with a lot of different companies. SD Charter’s are the newest, cleanest, classiest of them all. The drivers are awesome and always look sharp– especially Ryan! The busses have a great sound system too– you can hook up your own or listen to theirs.
You won’t be disappointed cause they’re the best in town :)

My fiancé loves beer so for his birthday, we went to three different breweries and I decided to book SD Charter.
Reasons why I LOVE this company and will never use another:
1. Affordable and they include tip in the price so you don’t have to worry about that
2. They are easy to get in touch with via email
3. They answered all my questions and were very helpful
4. They provided ice, glasses, and decorated the limo with balloons for my fiancé’s birthday
5. We reserved a 12 passenger limo and an hour before our event, they called and UPGRADED US TO A HUGE 30 PASSENGER LIMO FOR FREE! They said the larger limo was just sitting around and they wanted it to be out and about.
6. Our driver, Ryan, was so kind, helpful, and a fun person to be driving us around.
7. SD Charter did not double book or pick up another group when we were not using the limo. Ryan waited outside the breweries for us and it was never hard to find him or get a hold of him.
My fiancé and I need to rent a limo for our wedding and we will without a doubt be using SD charter!
