Years down the road, the only things you’ll have left from your wedding day are the photos, the video, great memories, and each other! Your wedding day is a one-​time thing and we take that to heart with every project, hand-​crafting your film from the ground up.

Our cinematographers are true professionals; they have film production degrees and experience in the industry shooting commercials, music videos, TV shows, and movies. Our coordinators work directly with your wedding planner, so you don’t have to worry about any of the logistics. We understand the importance of being as invisible as possible, too, so we’re never obtrusive during your big day. It’s not every day you get married, capture it beautifully!

History

Established in 2010.

After graduating school, I went to work in the film industry producing everything from commercials to films. One day a friend showed me his wedding video and my jaw dropped; it looked like a home movie. Shots were out of focus and poorly framed, the camera was low-​grade and shaky, and the editing was rushed in parts and mind-​numbingly slow in others. I asked if he had a friend do it, and he told me it was actually a professional wedding videographer! After combing the internet and finding similar wedding videos, I decided something had to be done.

A wedding is one of the most important days of someone’s life and I wanted to use my filmmaking experience to capture that. By bringing in my colleagues from school and the industry, we’ve been able to work with some amazing couples to produce cinematic films that capture the essence of their wedding.

My filmmaking career began before I can remember with my parents’ camcorder, and I’ve been making films ever since. I graduated from SDSU’s Film School in 2010 and got into freelance work on commercials, films, and music videos. When friends started getting married, they started asking me to do their wedding videos and before I knew it, I was booking more weddings than I could handle myself. So I called up some colleagues and Silhouette Videography was born!

I’ve been an active filmmaker since, so I have gleaned a lot of experience in everything from photography to lighting to post-​production.
