I brought my computer to Sam based on all the good reviews and he certainly did not disappoint. I brought in my water damaged laptop with the intention of having my data transferred and to my surprise he was able to bring it back to life. Before taking my laptop to Sam, I called another store and they were going to charge me 3 times as much to transfer the data and told me the laptop most likely couldn’t be fixed. I am so thankful to have found an honest and affordable computer repair person. If you need a computer repair done definitely take it here, I highly recommend SD computer repair!

If you can’t live without your laptop, this is the place for you. Reasonable prices and quick turnaround. Contacted 2 other repair shops about my MacBook Pro with wifi issue. Both are highly rated on Unilocal.One quoted $ 125 with a 3 – 4 business day turnaround. The second shop quoted $ 200 with a 5 – 10 business day turnaround.
SD Computer Repair quoted $ 90 with 1 day turnaround. I dropped off my MacBook Pro in the morning and it was ready before the end of the day. Cost — $ 70.
The shop is family owned and located across the road from Kaiser on the south side of Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Even if the location is not convenient, go there. The quick turnaround shortens the time you are separated from your laptop/​computer which makes it worth the drive.

I come here a few times, the last time he didn’t even charge me, because it was just loose screws and also because he said I am old customer! He asked for a review, so I of course will do it as a a return and courtesy! That’s a wise man’s doing, the best profit is to value relationship more than the money! Also called the ethical business practitioners get the most businesses!

Sam is just too good of a man. The best computer repair shop I’ve ever been to. This man just doesn’t try to rip you off or rob you blind. I was trying to fix my high end Lenovo laptop that I had for three years, but unfortunately couldn’t find a decent computer repair place for a while until my friend recommended to this place. Guess what? Finally he was able to fix my laptop! He fixed it in less than a day. $ 5 discount if you are a student or military. He charged only $ 40 vs in other places people were asking for over $ 200! Great shop and great service– I can’t stress enough on that fact. Thanks again!

I having problem with my key board lap top is going haywire lol. At first I was going to Best Buy but decided to check on Unilocal.I am glad I found this place and saw so many great review. Sam take a look and tell me right away what is the problem is. He took care of it and now it’s back in good condition. He also offered tips how to taking care of my key board.

Sam is the man. He says what he delivers and he delivers what he says. I have him to fixed my laptop fan and he has the job done well. All the charges are well informed beforehand. No surprise but a working laptop when I come back to pick up on the very next day.

This is also a computer repair store equipped with computer hardware savvy people and tools to get the job done right… The first time.
Posters on the wall depict surgeons holding computers that were completely destroyed saying «we can fix it» «we can restore it» etc. I found comfort in these posters. I think the store owner has a degree in micro chips or something. Try asking him if you visit, he’s friendly.

This company is legit. Highly professional and very affordable. I came here after being told by other companies that they weren’t able to fix my phone screen. I’ve been here a few times and they have saved me each time from losing my computer. I came into fix my 2009 MacBook screen and they got it back to me the next day for a good price.
I recently had an issue where my computer was making the beep sounds and wouldn’t turn on. I went to Apple and they told me that it was my RAM drive or my motherboard and sent me home. when I came to these guys they took time to help me and make sure my computer worked properly. I had to come back again because the same issue happened after I left. But, they still took care of me and made sure I wouldn’t have to make another trip.

Great service and knowledgeable owner. I brought in my MacBook today because it was running slow and now it’s running just fine. All of their prices are very reasonable too.

Took my iPhone in as my battery wasn’t charging. They did a quick diagnostic that took about 30 seconds and immediately found it was the dock that was the issue. They fixed it in 20 mins. Haven’t had any problems since. Great quick service!

The Best Bang-​For-​Your-​Buck PC Repair in San Diego…
My desktop was riddled with frozen browsers, multiple error messages and ran more like an old jalopy than a Challenger Hellcat. What was even more frustrating was it wouldn’t allow me to perform a system restore. I began looking for a computer repair shop with a ton of satisfied customers.
I brought my PC to Sam for an analysis. While he was servicing it, he offered various tips for maintenance and high performance that was easy to follow. After his analysis he recommended one simple $ 20 accessory that would solve my PC issues. And because of this I’m surfing online faster than ever.
What I liked about Sam was he didn’t waste my time, give me the run-​around or sell me extra products or services that I didn’t need. He respected my time and valued my patronage. He treated all of his clients with the utmost care as I witnessed four satisfied customers picking up their orders during my short time there.
He even offered to blow out all of my PC dust every six months… on the house. How’s that for customer satisfaction? If you want an IT guy who puts his customers first and constantly over-​delivers – give Sam a call.

My 2 year old Acer laptop was in deep trouble. The first symptoms started when I would pick up the laptop and it would shut down immediately. It got to the point where we could not work with it on the lap or pick it up to move it, even though the battery was full, it would shut off if you touched it at all. Then the wireless was intermittent. Finally it got to the point where it would only work if it was plugged in with an indication that there was no battery and the wireless was not working at all.
It took it in SD Computer Repair late on a Friday. They called me that evening to get the password to test the wireless. Saturday morning he called me before the shop opened and said it was ready. Guess what it worked. It is the best $ 45 I ever spent as I thought the motherboard was toast. He even added a Windows 7 Start menu to my this Windows 8.1 computer for free.

Professional, efficient and helpful. Sam ripped out a nasty virus and thoroughly cleaned my computer — service was above and beyond my expectations. I will drive out of my way to go here from now on.
Tip: He’s on the second floor across from Mcdonalds. There is no sign outside, just a tiny shop.

I dropped my phone over the Fourth of July weekend damaging my iPhone 5c screen.
I called SD Computer Repair, received a quote ($ 70), and came to get my phone repaired.
Located at Clairemont Mesa Blvd., upstairs in the shopping plaza, my phone was repaired with fast service. Afterwards Sam (owner) reviewed my phone to make sure all of its functions were working.

I’ve had my phone repaired here two times. SUPER quick and painless. They get to work on my phone right away and it’s done in fifteen minutes.

These place is an asset for San diegans. Repairs are done quick, prices are reasonable comparing to what you see in the mall and bigger companies.

My MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 model) had gotten water spilled all over it about 4 months ago.
The water damage left the battery useless so I could only use it if it was plugged into a wall outlet.
The external speakers would not work.
The audio jack did not work.
The laptop would not enter sleep mode while being shut.
The CPU fam was badly damaged…
THIS WAS NO PROBLEM FOR HIM! Despite my mac book pro being water damaged for a long time he would update me throughout the day on the status and just like that it was made into a brand new laptop. This company is awesome! I brought my computer that had water damage and also sat for over 2 years and guess what they brought it back to life! I am amazed and very happy. They also fixed my nieces iphone that got dropped it to the toilet.
