SD Auto Customz

I brought my truck to this shop to be fully restored in March 2014. I have paid this business more than 9,500.00 to date not including extra cost of over 2,000.00. As of May 2015 little has been done to my truck and it currently sits in their lot filled with miscellaneous car parts. The owner ducks me as much as he possibly can and when I am able to confront him, blatantly lies. Worst business I’ve ever had any deals with. At this point I have no other option other than legal action. Do not come here! Complete con artist and crook!

If they had –10 stars I would give it to them. They kept my dad’s car there for over 4 months and they did nothing to it while they got over $ 2000 from me. They are all DISHONEST people that scam others. They even stole my car’s license tag. They probably sold it to someone needed one for $ 10 or so.
Someday, someone will get very mad with them and they will have a real problem including jail time. The IRS, the Board of Equalization, the Employment Development Department, OSHA and other government agencies should look into that business!!!

Just keep yourself out of trouble and do not use them at all Their previous name used to be Audio Experts, now SD Auto Customz.
We agreed on a price, I left the shop and five minutes later they called me back and raised the price on me. Unbelievable, unprofessional. No apology, noting.
FYI, their credit card machine never works, they do not accept business checks, only Cash.
Consider yourself warned.

This place sucks ass! I got my side skirt painted and the color didn’t match! Save time and money and go else where!

Took my car in to get a door fixed, they charged thousands for it, then when it was «fixed», it started having problems later that I had to pay more for. When I tried to call them to fix the issues, they were evasive.
They are a crappy business, don’t go here. You’re better off paying a little more at an actual dealership where they guarantee fixing your problem and won’t rip your ass off.

I took my car here to get an overall paint and turned into a nightmare. I really hope you guys read my story so i could help you guys especially my fellow navy man before thinking about visiting this shop. «SHAWN or SEAN» and «CLEO» are brothers and the owners of this company. They are really good in convincing that they can get the job done but its all lies. I’m a Navy guy and learned my lessons the hard way. I wanted to get my car painted and they signed me up to this bank called «MCS bank or Military Credit Services» that is stationed in a different state. I was pretty much scammed and I payed $ 3,500 for a sh*ty paint job that is now chipping and fading. Please review your contract before signing anything on this shop. These people are the most unprofessional and unethical person i have ever met especially SEAN. They’re really good at pissing off customers, ill tell you that much. also if they try to change their name i want to make you guys know what they look like. «SEAN» is the older brother and he looks middle eastern standing 5’7″-5’9″. «CLEO» is the younger brother. short and skinny dude standing 5’3″-5’5″ that drives the 2 door white BMW you see in the front. AVOID TALKING TO THESE GUYS OR SIMPLY AVOID THE SHOP.

It really irritates me that a shop has to blast another shop by having customers post negative comments to make themselves look better… its obvious that you have a customer talk negative about a shop… but that same day your shop painted a whole car with the same customer. (who also became a Unilocal user that same day) It’s absolutley impossible that a customer that had had that many discrepencies in the paint, your shop would have painted it in a couple of hours and it came out perfect.
Lets be realistic. My thought about your shop was that you were a custom shop and with that said, it takes time and expertise to deliver such quality. You sound like a production shop. Comments are obvously filtered out for those reasons.
You should never stoop to that level and act unprofessional. If you are proud and confident that your work is worth it, you don’t need to throw other businesses under the bus to make yourself look better.
Just saying!!!

DO NOT GO HERE!
This place is the most unorganized and unprofessional business that I’ve ever been to. It was pretty obvious to me when I walked up to it, to check the progress of my husband’s car, which took (in total) about a month to have it painted and the rims installed! My husband, though, is a little bit niave and went here on the recommendation of a fellow sailor, but please don’t risk your property by leaving it in the possession of this «company» and I use that word lightly.
The cars are not locked up at night & several people have had things stolen from their vehicles while they were being worked on here.
My husband’s paint job isn’t much better than what I could have done with some sand paper and a can of spray paint! And additionally, the car came back with a host of problems (bad battery, car locks not working, missing emblems) that aren’t directly related to the the work they were doing on the car.
When we called to question them about ANYTHING, we rarely got an answer by phone. The guy who runs the shop simply doesn’t pick up his phone if he doesn’t want to talk to you, which lead me on two seperate occassions to drive from El Cajon down to the shop, demanding answers.
One of the guys isn’t so bad and he seems a little bit more straightforward then the others, though he isn’t above telling you something just to get you to keep quiet for a couple of days!
I don’t care. I pestered them until we got the car back and it looks like crap. After this email I heading straight to the BBB website to report Audio Experts.
**Update** In case that wasn’t enough, I took my car to three different auto body shops (now on the East Coast) and they have all estimated me at over $ 3,000 to fix the damages and repair the paint. Hmph, and the «owner» or whatever of this shop contacted me on Unilocal recently to try and persuade me to take down my review. It’s not happening. But if you want to read the messages they are posted below.
If I wasn’t sick of this headache I would be in touch with my lawyer but as for right now I just want my (not even 3 yr old car) to look good again.

and btw this is celo when you came in the shop last time we did are best to help u out we would love to stall do work with you guys but the holl thing was a misunderstanding on your husband part once agine we are really sorry and i did help you out when u camed back to the shop so if u dont mind deleted that review about us we are just some hard working poeple that wake up from 8 to 9 every day to work thanks have a great day
In regards to how they helped me… I was charged an additional $ 140 for tires to put on my car after my stock tires were «thrown out» but most likely given to someone else. Those original good tires lasted two months before I had to have one replaced. And to round it off… dropped a few hundred to get the rotors fixed in my car because of being improperly mounted and since before this incident nothing had been touched in that part of the car besides the dealer services, I’m assuming this is related.
But yea, I guess I’m just a girl and I don’t know much and I’m expected to cave when someone calls me «hunny» in a Unilocal message. Not happening. And btw this messages came from «angie. i» whom I believe is another poster on Unilocal that said they had a good experience with this shop… just so you know, apparently Cleo posts under that name.
