History

Established in 2004.

California Dreaming certainly describes the path that lead me to San Diego and a career in Real Estate. Growing up in the rural Midwest I learned the value of hard work and steadfast ethics but always suspected that I would seek a more Metropolitan area to call my adult home. It all started when my parents took me on a summer trip to SoCal when I was a young teenager — warm weather, culture and diversity — people and places that I wanted to get to know — I was hooked. Fast forward a number of years after marrying my suburban Chicagoan spouse, obtaining a Finance degree, working for 8 years as a community banker/loan officer we decided to take a trip to explore California — San Fran to LA to SAN DIEGO! As many of my clients have heard me tell the story, as soon as we approached Downtown heading south on the 5, the glitter of the buildings and the bay with the plane flying overhead and we were ready to call this home. In 2000, we made our dream a reality and made San Diego our HOME!

Working in San Diego Real Estate is exciting! Every day brings a new experience and providing consult for professionals of all ages continually sharpens my skills. Navigating the real estate market can be a challenge, particularly when trying to move your equity from your current property to another. There are many available strategies and each one has its strengths and weaknesses. I can help you assess your scenario and then make a plan that works best for you.

Since graduating from Iowa State University with a Finance degree, my career has all been finance-related providing experience directly relevant to you as my real estate client: 8 years of community banking/lending, a short stint in the retail investment advisory industry with Edward Jones (right next door to my current office interestingly enough) and 4 years in the corporate world as a financial analyst for GMAC Mortgage and a performance analyst for the capital management firm of Nicholas Applegate.
