This little Vietnamese shop is located inside the 99 Ranch building. It offers simple grab-and-go eats from banh mi to spring rolls to desserts. I had a hankering for some Vietnamese che(traditional sweet dessert soups that come in a variety of flavors). They have several flavors to choose from, and I settled on a taro one. It came with a good helping of large pieces of taro, and the coconut milk wasn’t too sweet either. I also got some pork egg rolls to try since they were less than a dollar each. The filling had a good amount of meat inside, but you can tell they put a good dose of MSG in there. The wrapping was also super greasy, yet dried out at the same time. It was as if the egg roll had been sitting there for too long and they tried to revive it by greasing it up. The main reason for 3 stars is because I’ve seen flies land on the uncovered food and that just grosses me out. Put some covers on the food people!

I don’t know why this place has such a bad low review! I tried their sandwiches and their egg rolls and the food was pretty good for the price. Their egg roll was especially good and crispy. The service was really good too! The only down side is that they only take cash!

Small little spot inside 99 Ranch Supermarket. My BF and I usually order the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi and Mango smoothie with boba. The sandwich has always came out really tasty. Love the Jalapeños. And one of the best Mango Smoothie, and they are not stingy with their boba at all.

I always get my juice from this place. This is located inside the 99 ranch, after you walk in its located on the right side. The drinks are not too sweet but sweet enough to quench your thirst on a hot day.

I really miss K sandwiches bc SVD is not what i’m looking for. The banh mis here averages $ 4 each which is $ 1 more than other places. And sandwiches are smaller. Value is really not there. I can’t wait til K sandwiches resurrects.

Friendly service. Reasonable prices for banh mi. I ordered a bbq pork banh mi & the sandwich looked YUM. The french roll was crisp & I saw veggies & jalepenos. After I bit into my sandwich, I found that there were not enough veggies or jalapeño. The meat was cold & did not look like it came off a grill. It looked like cat food. I tried to pick around the meat and ate the bread and pickled veggies. The meat here just seems sketchy. I rarely feel uncomfortable eating at a place. I am why does people who firmly believes in the five second rule if I drop an oreo on the ground. BUT with meat, I want it to be hot & similar to the animals I’ve devoured in the past.

This place has been around for a very long time. They got new signs but other than that, the place is still the same. I love all their banh mi sandwiches. Their shredded pork and Sui Mai are amazing. The sugar cane juice is really good and I recently just ordered my first boba drink from them. The service lady is the same one since I’ve started going to the place, very nice lady. The hot food looks alright, I don’t think I’d ever order it, maybe some egg rolls if I wanted to. Cleanliness is alright, I saw her make the boba drinks and I’m not sure how often she cleans the blender :/and I’m not how long the boba sits out in the cups before being made into drinks either. Overall, I always come back especially for their sandwiches.

I remember this place used to be so good! Sadly, I didn’t enjoy my banh mi. I asked for no peppers but somehow my sandwich had peppers in there. I got over it, BUT the radish that came with the sandwich had a weird taste. At first I thought it was the carrots but each bite it just got worst and worst. It just didn’t taste right or fresh, so I threw it away.

You spot this place across from the supermarket inside 99 Ranch. I by default get the chicken sandwich that you see listed on the wall behind the counter. Majority of the time, I call in to order and the owner has it ready by the time I get there(5 minutes time). I could only vouch for the taste the sandwich which is pretty good to me as I sometimes forget to being lunch. Their smoothies are fresh and tasty as well. The seating area is relatively small and could only seat up to 5 – 10 people. They only accept cash! So for those who are interested in getting something quick, call in ahead of time and then swing by with cash to pick it up. It really depends on how picky you are with the taste.

Sau Voi Deli is a great spot for a quick Vietnamese sandwich! Now, I must say I’ve only actually had one sandwich(barbecue pork with pâté), but that’s only because one reason… The sandwich is amazing! I cannot speak for their other menu items, but if you like banh mi, order what I do and I promise you won’t be disappointed. The place itself is a little hole-in-the-wall store inside of Ranch 99. The lady that’s always there is the sweetest lady ever. Her mom is a cute little Vietnamese lady that manually makes the sugar cane drinks that they serve. Overall, I would suggest this place to anyone in the area that wants a quick sandwich.

I walked in this restaurant and the egg rolls looked great. Boy was I wrong. They’ve been sitting all evening and was awful! I bit into one and thought I was biting into jerky. The noodles were stale as well.

This Vietnamese restaurant is located in 99 Ranch Market, a well-known Asian-American supermarket chain Whenever, I’m in 99 Ranch, I always order the Durian boba from here because it’s the best tasting Durian boba I’ve ever had. If you’ve never had durian before, or you’re a cheap bastard who doesn’t want to spend more than $ 10 on a fruit, then get the durian boba from here I decided to try the sandwiches they have here since I’ve been ordering their delicious durian boba for a long time. I ordered the Pâté Pork roll sandwich It tasted good but the only problem was, there was very little pâté, which was a major disappointment. So, I wouldn’t come back for the sandwiches, I’ll just stick with the durian boba

This is solely a review of their dessert. I love their che(dessert) particularly the mung bean one. Something about coconut milk and mung bean. Yum. I’ve gone here a few times and they’re been pretty consistent with the sweetness with one exception. I went and got my favorite che and it was rather bland and disappointing, but I’ll give them a pass. They usually have a buy two, get one free deal if you really have a sweet tooth. I also like the fact that they sell sugar cane drinks. They’re delicious. It’s really convenient since it’s in Ranch 99 so after I finish shopping, I head over there to get my sugar fix to go. They also sell banh mi(Vietnamese sandwiches), but I’ve never had any of theirs, so I can’t comment. This place is definitely not a sit down and eat place, although they have one table there. Yes, I did say one table. Also, they only take cash so you are warned.

Small shop in the Ranch 99 building, only two tables to take the load off. Had the BBQ pork banh mi(sandwich) and lychee smoothie boba. Tasty 6″ sandwich though light on meat. BBQ pork was diced, pickled veggies(jicama, carrots), jalapeño and cilantro was flavorful. Lychee smoothie boba was refreshing and not too sweet. Both items were $ 3.75 a piece. Note: this is a cash only place. Decent place for a quick bite to eat, though not very filling. I would come here more for the smoothie drinks.

The Banh mi sandwiches had good points and bad points. The place wasn’t busy when I went there, not a good sign. I ordered the Chicken Satay Banh mi and the grilled pork Banh mi. The Chicken satay was yummy, Tasted great and the bread was soft and fresh. The pork Banh mi lacked on flavor and BOY-O-BOY was the bread stale. I always love condiments, so i put Hoisin sauce on my sandwiches. I would go back, but I would request them to use a soft bread roll before they make it.

Review is just on the Boba. $ 3 to $ 3.75 for a tall cup. They have a few extra flavors I haven’t seen other places and mixed flavors. Taro boba was yum. Satisfied

Rudest woman ever. I came up to grab a boba straw and the woman, who I can only assume to be the owner, saw me coming and yanked the whole box away, like an awful substitute teacher taking away your game boy in grade school. I was so shocked, I said, «I can’t take any?» to which she replied, «You cannot.» lol can you believe that? I walked to the other side to that Chinese restaurant, where I asked them if I could have some straws and they were chill about it. Can’t even believe someone is that anal about STRAWS. It’s a straw. The type of person you would never want to give your business to even if they had the best sandwiches in the world. Boycott to the max. Oh yea and my boyfriend has tried their avocado smoothie before, and says I make it better because they overly sweeten theirs. #howyalikemenow

stopped by 99RANCHMARKET on our way back from SANDIEGO and the kids were getting peckish. JULIANA had the SPRINGROLLS and WYATT the ROASTEDCHICKEN(deboned, butterflied and roasted thigh) and both got rave reviews. JODI had a BBQPORKBAHNMI and i had a bite — i mean this is CALIFORNIA, a community property state, right ?? it’s not like she’s wasn’t gonna sneak a couple of the SUIMAI i picked up inside … the roll looked huge and i was afraid the sandwich would be all bread but it was surprisingly airy and light with that nice toasted crunch on the crust. conditioned as i am to the meaty, super-sized portions of AMERICAN fast food, i always have to step back and adjust my expectations of the under-stuffed VIETNAMESE sensibilities. the pork was tender and well flavored and the pickled daikon and carrots added that nice sweet-tart crunch. cilantro and thinly sliced jalapeño brought their own grassy, spicy flavors to the party. all in all, a pretty fair sandwich.

I’m only a fan for their boba drinks! They have rare flavors like red bean and durian! I tried the red bean and it tasted freshly made and bean-y without being too sweet. The tapioca texture was chewy and the portions were decent. HOWEVER, don’t try their fresh spring rolls… The rice paper was good but the meat filling didn’t taste fresh. There are many other places in the neighborhood for better spring rolls! I’ll come back for the red bean with boba!

Finally got to try the avocado smoothie. SOGOOD. My favorite is still the papaya milk smoothie, though, since it tastes exactly how they make it in Taiwan. I also got the egg noodle dish and really liked it! I wouldn’t give their food 5 stars but their fruit smoothies(sans boba) is most definitely worthy of the crown. NOTE: CASHONLY.
