I highly recommend SDPI. My wife and I relocated to San Diego in 2013 and can’t thank the team enough for helping my family during our transition. SDPI found us a place to rent and then helped us in our home purchase. Finding something that suited our needs was challenging however James was there each step of the way.
I’ve purchased homes before and worked with a variety of agents/​companies and I will confidently say that James went above and beyond with the level of service and ability to make it happen.

Here is our story with San Diego Properties and Investments, and James Mabry: We started thinking about buying our first house in around Feb 2012. So, I started asking James a lot of questions. I have never bought a real estate before and I knew almost nothing about the entire process of buying a house. James answered all my questions with clear explanations and good examples. Being an engineer, I value that an answer is clear, data driven and direct. James impressed me with his knowledge not only about real estate but also relevant subjects such as mortgage, economy, real estate market etc.
Then, we decided to buy the house in Rancho Bernardo which is not very close to where SDPI is. For almost 2 years, James came to Rancho Bernardo and surrounding area whenever we found a house that we like. He was always well informed about the houses we looked at and frequently advised us not to make an offer because either he saw a problem with the house or he thought the price was too high. The ones he told us not to miss and make an offer right away, became «pending» always within a few days.
Eventually we found a house and made an offer (after missing a few good ones). The time period from the offer to the day we moved in was also a big struggle. There was a problem between the bank and the HOA about the insurance of the house. Although the problem was not related to SDPI, James worked really hard to help resolving the problem. Finally, we happily moved into our first home with lots of appreciation to James and his company for everything he did.
In general, the first thing that comes to my mind about James is trust. I was always confident that whatever he tells me, he was honest about it and was thinking in our best interest, rather than trying to make a little more money for his company. Throughout the process I also witnessed that he helped many people without any expectations in return, even people he met for the first time. He is also very knowledgeable and disciplined about anything he does. Another cool thing is that he is a techie. He incorporates technology into what he does and he does it well. All in all, I feel that because he is a real San Diegan, he treats everyone he works with as his neighbor so you always have this comfortable feeling about what he says and does.

I stumbled upon a SDPI «For Rent» sign in a unit a few doors down from a condo that my wife and I was interested in purchasing so I called to see what the going rate was. I was hesitant to call because A) I wasn’t interested in renting their advertised unit, and B) I wasn’t one of their clients. Ironically enough, I spent over 2 hours on the phone speaking with James, Owner, as he was extremely personable and helpful… We ended up taking such a liking to him we decided to switch ships and partner with his team instead of the previous big box agency we had been trying to work with. This may have been one of the wisest decisions we made. This team has not only helped us find our first home but they have helped everyone from my mother to friends and coworkers find their next home. If you are looking for a personalized experience with a team who genuinely cares and is knowledgeable about the market look no further. You guys ROCK!

I met the owner of San Diego Properties and Investments, James Mabry, back in 2008 trough a friend of mine who was his customer (a very happy one!). When I started shopping for a condo, it was no question that I wanted to have James help me look as I’ve heard the greatest things about his team and him. James is the most patient real estate agent I’ve ever met. He showed me dozens of properties before I made my first offer. He is honest and to the point; he can easily tell you what the pros and cos are, which was very helpful for me as a first time home buyer.
Two years later, when I decided to rent my condo for three months during the summer while I was traveling, James managed it and did a great job. I did not have to worry about anything as I knew the condo was in great hands.
James’s team and James himself are an excellent example of individuals who always go an extra mile to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. We have become good friends over time and I would never use any other realtor but James.

It is with great pleasure and honor to be the first reviewer for this company! The owner, James Mabry is a long time colleague of mine, who recently listed and sold my condo in North Park. He was also my agent as a first time homebuyer a few years ago and also went above and beyond to ensure the transaction went smoothly. Being that I was an out-​of-​town owner, (we moved to Lake Tahoe last year); I was originally concerned with the challenges of getting the place ready to sell and not physically being there to oversee it. With James and his teams’ help, he managed to contract a major flooring rehab and a number of aesthetic fixes to get the property ready for listing, all within one week’s time. Within less than one month he had two offers with back-​ups, and I’m happy to say we closed successfully shortly after. It’s tough to find people as reliable, hardworking, honest, and trustworthy as James. If you want a non-​BS resource who knows his business and how to get the job done right, use his company in all of your real estate dealings. He is mine and my family’s go-​to Realtor for life!!!
