Took them a little longer than appropriate to update Unilocal’s «CLOSED» banner for this location. Oddly enough, we called the listed number and someone still answered and told us they were open until ten. They were, in fact, closed. Miscommunication makes for bad customer service at a place that doesn’t exist.

Decent burger with average fries. Great sweet potato fries and good onion rings. I loved the bacon burger. I would come back.

Drove by the location yesterday. .. Looks like the business is closed. I’m not terribly surprised, but I did wish them well. Apparently, the lure of exotic meats did not overcome all the other issues that Unilocalers have mentioned. It’s a tough business, and restaurants need to excel in their specialty. Crazee Burgers(OT) did not.

After trying the Camel Burger, the Nacho Burger, the El Jacobo, the Texas Burger, and the Crazee Fries, it wasn’t anything WOW! More like, «Ok, yea it’s good.» It depends on what your taste buds are calling out for. For a burger with a bit of a twist, then definitely try this place for your first experience. A BIG plus, you can never go wrong with the beer on tap, but even the beer with the burger did not make me shed a tear. Don’t worry though, there is a generous selection of different kinds of meat, as long as they have them in stock. How can I sum this up? It’s definitely above the generic level but just one step below… I don’t know… the wow factor. Each to it’s own, but if I happen to see either kangaroo or antelope in stock, I will definitely try this place again.

The Crazee burger in Old town pretty much covers the same menu as the one in North Park. The north park location was awesome, burgers are absolutely fantastic there. I was cruising around the area and hadn’t had any lunch yet, so I figured I’d give old town a try. Decided to go unconventional and get a chicken sandwich. Their chicken sandwich( ) consists of a grilled chicken breast, greens, tomato, onions along with their house made buffalo sauce. I decided to add avocado and fried egg for extra, too good to pass up. The buns they use are fresh, I’m pretty sure I heard they get them from Bread &CIE. The chicken breast was grilled perfectly, good crisp texture on the outside. Buffalo sauce was great, just wish they added more. I didn’t get to try any of their sides, but the chicken sandwich was the perfect size for a quick lunch.

This place had a sign in front that said they were voted«best burger in town», and since my family and I are from LA& not SD, we decided to try it out. I got the Texas burger and it was really good! The sauce was super tasty and it was just overall a really good burger. The fries were really good too, the seasoning gave them a lot of flavor. The burgers are reaalllllly filling so four people shared one order of fries which I recommend because the burgers really fill you up. I recommend trying this place. I’m not sure if it’s the«best burger» but it’s definitely a great burger!

Parking is a hassle so be patient and keep your eyes peeled for a spot. Wife got the Aloha cooked medium I got the 2⁄3 lb Chubby Charlie cooked medium rare. 1 order of «Springs» ½ onion rings,½ sweet potato fries. 1st impression? Dirty! Sticky tables, dirty floor. Had I noticed it before ordering I’d’ve walked out but I’m very glad I didn’t. The burgers were great! Cooked as ordered, both juicy and flavorful! If you like gimmicks, you will love Crazee Burger! I don’t like gimmicks. I went there a few times and had regular burgers. They were okay. I got adventurous this time and ordered a «Kangaroo» Burger. They were out of Kangaroo, so I settled for a Camel Burger. The Camel Burger mysteriously tasted like elk. I ate elk quite a bit growing up. Elk tastes like beef except a little more lean. Essentially I am not sure if I was eating Camel, elk, or even beef. By the way, the center of the patty was undercooked. I like rare, but not raw. My friend ordered an Ostrich Burger… it tasted like lean beef. My friend’s son ordered a Texas Burger(beef, bacon and cheese). That was by far the most delicious burger. However, there are many more burger joints in San Diego that serve a better Texas Burger. Personally, I would not go back to Crazee Burger. Also, my suggestion to the business is that that they change the name to «Tastes Pretty Much Like Beef Burger.»

Weird, rude experience with this spot. I went in at 415pm on a busy Saturday and the girl working said, «We’re closed.» The sign said they are open to until 10pm. She didn’t offer any explanation or even an apology. I might give it another shot, but yep, definitely weird at the very least. Update: Nope, I was full on discriminated against…

Walking by it smelled good so we tried it. You order at the counter and they bring you your food the menu is cool I got organic burger but that have other cool meats like buffalo that’s high in protein low in fat. I also ordered sweet potato fries those were good too. Next time I’m in the area I’ll stop in too try another burger.

I work down the street, and choose this for a lunch option often. The service and policies vary by who is behind the counter. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is nice, but the way they ask you to order is odd. They really want me to choose a tip before I get my order? That’s odd. Anyway, the food is good. On a busy day, if you want another beer, you need to get up from your table, get back in line and order a beer, even if you are at the«bar»

I didn’t have any great expectations for this place, but happened in on this past Sunday during lunch hour(busy, and that is an understatement). There was ONE guy working the counter — that is, taking orders, delivering orders to the kitchen, AND delivering orders to the tables. He was HUSTLING, no joke — and he managed to do this all quite graciously, not appearing ruffled or rushed in the least; no easy task, let me tell you. Despite the crowd, and the«crazee» number of orders being processed, our burgers came out perfectly cooked(wow), all of our sides were delivered(by this one guy), and everything was perfectly cooked to order and delicious. My Jacobo burger was de-li-cioso, the chorizo adding a nice bit of salt and flavor to the meat, cooked well throughout(as I requested). The creaminess of the fresh white cheese and the char on the grilled peppers added to the depth of flavor. Nice combination. My mate’s Texas burger was medium well(again, as requested) with a nice char on the meat — he said it was one of the best burgers he’s had so far(round 5 or 6 of our«San Diego best burger challenge»). Anyways… this place, which I didn’t expect to like much, is a KEEPER. Close to home(convenient), friendly and competent staff, delicious BEEF burgers(have not tried any of their exotic meats, but may give that a try next time. We saw some outrageously delicious looking burgers coming out of that kitchen(i.e. topped with avocado, some amazing looking white sauce, and other delectable stuff). Some people looked a bit unhappy about the wait, but once they got their food, it was all smiles. What with 3 guys running the show — one taking orders and serving, one bussing tables, and(I assume) one in the kitchen) — the fact that we all got served at all was some sort of miracle. The place was packed. No complaints. All A+. Will come again. I’m «crazee» for these burgers.

My co-workers have come here a bunch of times for lunch. Unfortunately this will be the last time I ever come back to this place. There was two parties ahead of us waiting to place their food order. So we waited patiently since there was only one person taking order. When we got up to the counter, the person asked us to wait. After waiting for over five minutes while he was chit chatting to the cook, I walked over to the swinging kitchen door and yelled at him. I am on my lunch break, chat on yours! I can go get a better burger somewhere else in town and will from now on

First time in the old town location but I’ve been a regular at the original north park spot. Compared to the original, this one is a lot roomier, cleaner, and smells better. Only been once so far and my first impression was the service is sloooow, like really slow. I mean the place was less than half full but no one had food! It took about 20 minutes for my burger. I like the organic patty with bacon and avocado. It was exactly what i expected, same quality and taste as the one I’m used to. I will be back and if they can improve on the speed i will bump up to 4 stars. Definitely worth a visit though. A very solid burger joint.

Pretty good, interesting burer combinations and meats. We got the kangaroo and venison. kangaroo was a bit dry, wouldnt really be able to tell it was kangaroo? not tha Ive ever had kangaroo. venison was great, somewhat odd whipped cream topping but it was ok together. fries/onions rings were pretty good. service is order at counter, not exactly clear when you first go there. decent selection of draft beer. happy hour prices too with daily specials. I could definetly come back every now and then. outdoor patio, we had our dog with us which is always a plus

Are you a burger nut who likes to take a walk on the wild side? Well come on down to Crazee Burger and see which beast your taste buds can tame! Alongside the ordinary burgers and hotdogs with endless combinations and trimmings, this place offers exotic burgers: antelope, ostrich, alligator, kangaroo – just to name a few. Came here for the first time tonight and was very intrigued by the exotic offerings. I really wanted to try the ostrich, but it wasn’t available, so I hopped on the kangaroo choice, with cheddar and bacon. Added an order of «frings»(onion rings and fries), and my total with taxes was $ 19. Whoa, pretty steep – but I guess way cheaper than flying to Australia. At first bite, it tasted pretty normal. I didn’t quite enjoy the creamed horseradish sauce it came with, but that wasn’t distracting. The burger itself was maybe cooked longer than necessary, so that may have been the reason for the somewhat dryness. After a couple of bites, I definitely recognized a gamey aftertaste. I shared my other half, and they said it tasted like rabbit. I guess things that hop alike taste alike. I earned the bragging rights, but probably won’t do kangaroo again – until actually in Australia. The fries were good and crispy, but not good enough for me to eat all of it. The onion rings were better, but should be consumed while hot. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, just not very memorable – other than the aftertaste. I’m pretty sure I will come here again to have a good ol’ fashioned cheeseburger and it will probably be a better experience.

Ohhh Crazee burger how much I had looked forward to eating here. but you failed me! You know it’s bad when you ask the girl at the register what she liked best and she says«I’m a vegetarian, I don’t eat meat» What the heck!!! So they were out of the antelope and so I had to try the buffalo. It was yucky because they put some sweet stuff on the meat. Overall never going back and staying with my in n out!

Chorizo burger was small but flavorful. You can tell they hand make the parties. It had some Mexican cheese and grilled jalepenos and the usual lettuce tomato etc. it was a simple experience around lunch time I was the only one there but I like that sometimes. I only came here because I’m staying in a inn around the corner. I don’t think I’ll come back, there’s better places to get a burger in San Diego. Today was all about location and lack if a crowd. A little Mexican girl helped me and she was very nice and helpful. Burger and large beer was $ 14.50 I don’t remember if that’s good or not because I’ve been traveling Europe and Asia for the past year.

Service = meh Food = meh Prices = moderate Sorry, I was not impressed with the food and the service was spotty. We came in and was going to stand in line behind these people, but he told us to just sit and he’d serve us at the bar(we intended to sit at the bar). Instead, he went through the queue of people first, and THEN took our order.

This is a nice clean place and the staff was nice and pretty speedy. I had the wild boar burger with bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, and tomato. It was great! Good tasting bun and the burger was cooked medium well as requested and was really juicy. The flavors from the mix of ingredients was so good! I would say this is one of the top 4 burgers I have ever had! It was fairly priced at $ 9.99. I also tried the frings. The onion rings were very good. They were very similar to Red Robin onion rings. Nice crunchy batter and onion flavor. The fries were the standard skinny fast food fries which I should have asked for without the cheese. I really like how there is a good selection of exotic meats to select from.
