Super friendly associates and they knew their job well. They even called other locations to see of the tile we were searching for could be elsewhere. They didn’t have what we were looking for but we will most definitely keep them in mind should our need for flooring ever arise again.

We did our bathroom at home with Sergio at SD Marble Tile, and he helped us a lot with deciding which combinations of tile looked good together. Their selection is really extensive, so we really needed assistive! He also found us a contractor to do the install really well. So bathroom looks great and my wife is happy.

Everyone we dealt with at the El Cajon location went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The tile selection was amazing! San Diego Tile and Marble is our new «go to» tile source!

SD Tile offers a great selection and offer all the latest styles. Customer service is wonderful. Donna designed the kitchen and bathroom and we are very happy with the finished product. They also provided our flooring and fireplace materials. Would not shop anywhere else for materials.

I like that they have a different variety from the other tile stores I’ve visited, but their staff has no idea what is happening. It was a pretty frustrating experience and finally just left. Purchasing flooring is stressful enough without feeling like you’re not getting complete or accurate information.

If you’re a contractor the order desk will drop everything to assist you even the homeowners who chose this place because they are listed as an authorized deale.
I went in mid August to order some metal trim pieces. I spoke with the clerk who got distracted by two different contractors and apparently didn’t remember we were discussing a tub surround and ended up adding an extra letter to the part number i was ordering. This resulted in the wrong part being delivered. Of course they wanted a 35% restock fee and a second delivery charge of $ 22. Luckily the lead order desk guy was in that day and waived the 35% fee.
I had to return 4 times to correct this issue which took until 9 Oct, 1.5 months. I left my phone number 3 times but never received a call that my items were ready for pick up, though I was told it would only take a week for the order to come in.
The order desk people were nice but need to treat homeowners with the same diligence as their repeat contractor customers.
This review is for the order desk at the Clairmont Dr location but 3 of the 4 times i went in the store i was ignored by the showroom people. On the 4^th trip the showroom guy didnt take his eyes off his computer while he asked me what i needed. He was surfing the web.
Don’t think I’ll be back unless they are the only place in town. The products i use can be ordered off the internet with no 20 mile drives, no lack luster customer service.
Yeah I waited 4 months to submit my review that’s how concerned I am about this place. They won’t get any more business from me.

These guys helped in so many small ways that it amounts to a huge deal! Aside from the awesome service and friendly environment they were genuinely concerned about getting our things together for us ON TIME. This meant a lot to us because time was a huge factor and to know that they were also on our side was comforting and in the end we didn’t have to lose any more time or spend money. Of course projects or anything for that matter don’t always go as smoothly as we would like but it truly means the world when you know someone is on your side. That is what I felt with San Diego Marble & Tile.

As a designer, SDM&T is my go to tile store. They have a great selection and are always getting new items. Nicole, Sam, Sergio and the whole team are wonderful.
They are always willing to get me samples and follow up on orders when needed.
There customer service is Exceptional !!! If we have an issue with an order they

The customer service, pricing and selection is EXCEPTIONAL, They always treat me and my customers with the utmost respect. They are so great about ordering samples and dealing with the occasional return. I shop for a living and the treatment I receive at a store makes all the difference to me. I know that I can always trust SDM&T to give me the best service in San Diego. They are real professionals and a pleasure to work with, and that is why I continue to buy my tile from SDM&T!

This is as good as it gets! I am in the midst of my third remodel and I am thrilled with SDM&T. They have a fantastic showroom, a professional and friendly staff. My go to girl is Nicole. She has wonderful taste and great feedback. I send all my friends and family to SDM&T and have only heard great things.

This place is awesome! I am an interior designer and it is my first, and often only, stop when specifying tile or stone for a project. The customer service is great. I typically work with Nicole, but everyone that I have worked with there as been extremely knowledgeable and professional. They have a great selection, and their follow-​up is really good, which is critical to me. And, compared to others in San Diego, I am able to get product really quickly. Many other tile showrooms cannot produce the materials in the time frame that we need.
Nicole is incredibly helpful with selections, suggestions, and knowledge about the product. San Diego Marble and Tile has never disappointed me, they are a real go to.

If I could give 6 stars or more, I totally would! The entire staff at the store is beyond helpful! Customer service is a big deal to me and after a rather unfortunate number of events at Daltile, I came upon San Diego Marble and Tile through Google. They are beyond amazing to work with! I had a small job to do for a backsplash detail and Lisa at the El Cajon store was extremely helpful. When they didn’t have the sample in their store that I wanted to see, she directed me to the Clairemont store as they had the sample at that location. When I went to the Claremont store, I met with Lisa who after some indecisiveness on my part, allowed me to take three separate tiles home from their showroom so I could see how they would work in my home. Mind you, these were not samples but off of their own showroom floor. Once I decided which style I want it, I return to the El Cajon store to place my order and just picked it up today.
After I had such a wonderful experience with my backsplash tile, I decided to come back to purchase tile for my fireplace hearth. Again, Lisa in the Clairemont store was so very helpful and again let me take a sample home from their showroom floor to see how it would look on my fireplace. Since I was already coming to pick up backsplash tile at the El Cajon store, I decided to place my order for my fireplace hearth tile here. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, at San Diego Marble and Tile is beyond helpful no matter whether you go to the Clairemont store or whether you go to the El Cajon store.
If you can’t tell from my review at this point, I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything for their home! I can tell you I will definitely be coming back if I ever need anything.

This is an AMAZING place with excellent selection and the BEST costumer service anywhere. I am co-​owner of an interior design firm in San Diego and have been doing business with SDM&T for many years. A recent project has been challenging and we have received exceptional support from Sergio, Nicole and everyone else has been very friendly and attentive. Staff is always ready to help, offer options and suggestions, and handle a returns/​exchanges with total professionalism and a smile.
We do a lot of business with other wonderful vendors, but we have to say that we have always been more than pleased with the quality of service and products we receive here. And recently their inventory has increased, offering the latest in very cool materials. In our opinion, you can’t go wrong.

San Diego hasn’t impressed me with their showroom displays and service.
However, trust me when I tell you this is the BEST option for your tile and marble needs!
Disclosure; There is definatekyyyyy a common denominator with all these showrooms; horrible customer service. They sit behind the desk, with a blank stare at their computer screen and never say hello or offer to help. Every showroom in San Diego I swear! Lol! Now, I must say, once I asked for help, THEN they were helpful.
As far as showroom options, this is the best option.

So far so good… I am redoing a shower via the services of Kitchen and Bath.
I am using SD marble and tile for my selection. They have a ton of possibilities.
So far the staff has been helpful. I am now at the pricing (and negotiation) stage.
Let’s see how they perform.
I will keep ya posted.
(I have 2 showers to redo, lets see if SD M&T make it to the second project.

We are in the process of updating the bathroom from a tub to a walk in shower – and completely re-​doing the countertops. We have existing tile flooring throughout that we had hoped to keep but were open to replacing. We were referred to this store by our contractor so I went down to this store to look at their inventory. At this time, we had narrowed down that we wanted to go with Crema Marfil but I was still a little open to seeing what they had with tile to cut down on the expense. Spending a ton of money in this economy makes me feel really uneasy.
Of course, just seeing the natural stone options, you wonder why you’re trying to be frugal and should just go with what you like. Absolutely stunning which made me seriously torn. If it were my master bathroom, I’d do what it takes. Since it was a guest bathroom? Questionable.
The gal that initially helped me was gone after I told her I wasn’t going to make a decision today as my husband wasn’t here with me. Unfortunately, I never saw her again which was disappointing because I had a lot of questions. We needed to make a decision that week to keep on schedule and I just wanted to talk with an expert about the pros and cons for each. After browsing around and finding no one, I walked out of the store without getting the help I needed. The lady didn’t even give me her card in case I wanted to come back when I was ready.
Disappointed I made the trip out here for nothing.
