Disgusting. Just disgusting. I requested new sheets that way I knew that they were clean. We tore the blanket off the bed and didn’t want to even touch it it looked so gross. The only thing I will say was that there were no dead bugs anywhere which I totally expected. But this place is a disgrace. No curtain on one of the windows and the smoke detector was detached and missing. Holes in the walls, paint chipped, bathroom fixtures dirty, lamps falling off the walls… Just no.

Looks a little torn down on the outside but room was neat and clean no bugs. Check in was quick and easy. Need more pillows and carpet could be replaced with more appeling carpet but besides that no complaints.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel/​motel. Some of my belongings were stolen right out of my room and when I confronted the front desk about it, they laughed at me and told me «too bad» basically. They never apologized once for it. They just had excuses that it was my fault. When I asked for a refund, they told me to leave their lobby and get out.
I asked for the manager several times and was told by some young kid that he «stepped out and would be back.» Every time I checked back, he was «gone for a bit and would be back soon.» Finally some Indian guy popped out of the back a second after the kid told me he was gone, and said he was the owner. The kid had a stupid smirk on this face the entire time when I was explaining what had happened and they were laughing at me in my face.
I’ve never been treated this poorly by supposed «professional employees» of an establishment.
They’re a poor excuse for an establishment and I have no idea how this filthy, run down, smelly, extremely loud motel gets any business. There’s homeless people all around the motel at all hours.
The room was absolutely disgusting and every time I asked the front desk something, I heard 3 different responses from different staff. They have no idea what they’re talking about.

I would have spent an extra $ 300 to not have stayed at this disgusting motel. The staff are the most rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, immature, worthless hotel staff I have ever come across.

Conveniently located but I’m regretting not spending the extra money for a better hotel in the heart of gaslamp. As I wrote this review sitting on the rock hard mattress that hotel called a bed I was questioning myself as to whether I was itching out of fear that there were bed bugs or because I was actually being eaten alive by bed bugs …
There is nothing more appealing than towels that feel like I’m drying my body with sand paper, dead spiders hanging in the corner of the ceiling, & pillows so bad I’d have a better nights sleep using rocks instead.
Oh and good look finding parking ! There are two small areas of spaces on either side of the building and it’s first come first serve. There’s a huge parking lot right next door but I wasn’t sure if it’s a private lot so I didn’t try.
Please trust me when I say it’s better to just spend the extra money !

So I stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend and it wasn’t a 5 star hotel but the location was great and the price was far for what we got. The room was clean but kind of rundown. The parking was very limited so get there early to get a spot! Overall I would stay here again.

Stayed here while in town for a conference. The location isn’t the best, but the guy at the front desk was really helpful. Let me check in early and I had a good room without any issues. Ended up checking out early and couldn’t get a refund on one night but it wasn’t that big an issue since their prices aren’t ridiculously high. All in all, I’d stay here again.

Probably a great place to do drugs or bring a hooker. Walked in and walked out right away. Pretty sure I have bedbugs already. Creepy and dirty place with cigarette burns and stains on every piece of furniture and cloth.

I’ve never stayed at this hotel but I live in the apartments directly across the street from this place. I will NEVER recommend any friends or even enemies to stay at this disgusting place. I wake up so often to homeless people screaming outside of the hotel and there are always cops here. The whole place is run down and no matter the «discount» that is offered, there is no way I’d even spend $ 10 per night for such an unsafe place.
I also noticed that whoever works there during the day drives a yellow smart car that always takes up the entire curb in front of the hotel so that nobody else can park on the street. This is a serious inconvenience for the people that live in the area, especially because the parking lot in that hotel is so tiny.
To be honest, I’m surprised this place hasn’t been shut down yet.

Okay, I stayed at this hotel last night and since sleeping was impossible, I laid awake all night and thought of what I would write in the review… Here we go…
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. 100%. Hands down. No competition. It is so small and dirty, and there is no parking! We were lucky to find a spot, but we didn’t take our car anywhere once we got there because we were scared of losing our spot. People double park and the place is surrounded by hobos and most likely a plethora of meth dealers. No ice machine, no fridge, no microwave even though it was advertised to have all three.
The room smells like dead people and cigarettes, even though it was a non smoking room. You can almost feel the amount of drugs that have been done in there, so if that’s what you’re going for then you’ve found your crystal palace.
Now… The freakin FLOORBOARDS! We were on the first floor, and the floorboards were so creaky. We wouldn’t have normally minded, since we got back there around midnight and were planning on leaving at around 10 the next morning. We figured the people above us wouldn’t be walking around much at night. We were so so so wrong. There was a hotel party all damn night, and we heard every single step that anyone took. And it was loud creaking, straight out of a horror film. Finally at around 3:30, my boyfriend went to the lobby to ask for another room. The guy said they didn’t have any more available, and he called the room above us. This is the best part. «They didn’t pick up. Maybe they are asleep,» he said. UMMMM would we be complaining if they were asleep? And it’s pretty doubtful that they fell asleep in the 30 seconds it took to walk to the lobby? There were at least 15 people up there, which honestly would have been fine, if only the floorboards weren’t from 1870. Finally they quieted down, and we were able to get a little bit of sleep, but they were up again at around 7, and the creaking woke us up again. That’s how loud it is, you guys. It woke us both up.
The price is way way way too high and I hope to God that people read reviews before booking, because I really wish that we had. Location is pretty good, but there are way better hotels for I’m sure the same price. Don’t stay here, this place needs to be shut down!

The non-​smoking room smell nothing but like cigarettes. Parking is very limited. The desk help is not as professional and courteous as most places. I was overcharged and didn’t honor my priceline rate. You can hear everything going on the next room. Below average in cleanliness. Small in size. I do not recommend it at all, hope I save you some trouble. It is also extremely overprized. I do not understand how a place like this can be booked through priceline. Can’t think of anything good, I guess it is conveniently located but that is about it.

Soooo place wasn’t the best it was kind of creepy actually. Haha burn holes in the sheets placed smelled like ciggs but they tried masking the odor with a scent so it just made it worse. There was no blow dryer which was annoying so I had to walk around with wet hair. The showerr seriously sucked and reminded me of the old folks homes I work at the shower head was like at tummy level so you had to take it off and shower yourself off like your a dog or something hahaa. we found old oranges in the cabinet too gaha oh and parking is shit. Broken cabinet as well and the chairs in the room were stained with who knows what

For the price, it was not worth the stay. Although I didn’t realize it was a motel and not a hotel, that is on me. However, we noticed burn marks from cigarettes in the sheets, the pillows were crappy and lumpy, there were spiders all over the bathroom and the carpet was coming up and we kept tripping on it. When we exited our room, there were empty beer bottles by the little balcony next to the stairs and bottle caps all over said balcony. The staff were not rude however they could have been more excited to greet us. Nothing can really be done about the parking but there were about five or six tiny spots. Not convenient. The shower was really the only decent thing about the bathroom. The shampoo comes in ketchup packets and takes about three hands to successfully empty it into your own hand. Once applied, it made my hair so tangled and dry that I was literally brushing it for twenty minutes. Not worth the $ 384 I spent for just two nights.

After reading the reviews on here, I was horrified that we had a two night reservation for this past weekend. I thought we were in for lots of homeless people, loud neighbors, and an overall less-​than-​tolerable experience. It proved better than I thought, while simultaneously validating some of my concerns.
The pros: We wound up on the second story, which made me feel better about the purported homeless issue. No overhead noise– though our floor was pretty creaky and I’m sure our downstairs neighbors were aware of our every inclination to move. Updated granite counters, flat screen, and granite enclosed shower were all pretty nice touches. I didn’t expect that. Proximity to the gaslamp quarter was fantastic– we walked there and back easily, about half a mile away.
The cons: Very poorly lit inside at night. There were three light sources, not counting the bathroom. AC worked well the first night but crapped out the following morning. The six parking spaces were a constant source of worry whenever we needed to use the car, but someone’s truck basically guaranteed us one corner spot that anything bigger than my sister’s civic would have had to pass up (although I did have to reverse in, getting the passenger side as close as possible to the hotel’s signpost base which was for some reason 3 feet tall and ¹⁄₈ of the way into the parking spot). The mattress felt like it was taller in the middle, and as I was crashing with my brother and we both have broad shoulders, I felt like I had to fight to remain in place rather than rolling off onto the floor. There were cigarette burn holes on our motel yellow blanket, which I found strange since it was supposed to be a smoke free room. Towels were small and scratchy. Oversights of attention to detail, like not finishing the carpet between the tiled bathroom and the bedroom, scuffed magnesite flooring coming into the room at the door instead of a threshold (I work for a waterproof decking company, this is a liability for water damage, let alone a visual affront), and a closet built into the wall with no door. Just a hanger rod on the wall. Weird. Homeless people were sleeping on the sidewalk right outside, and while I’m sympathetic to the human condition and plight of fellow man, it was damn depressing to see them all upset while on vacation. :(to be fair though, they didn’t engage with us.
In short, 384 dollars for two nights was not at all justified in my book. I’ll splurge for a real hotel next time at the same price.

and immediately they charged my card $ 653.58 for one night! I was expecting decent service and according to the pictures a better «hotel» than what I drove up to see. At 2am when we got there nobody was in the lobby, the door was locked and we couldn’t check in. When I was on the phone with
I specifically mentioned I have small children and need a pool. When we drove up there was homeless people camped out around entire premise. Well no pool and that’s not a place you take family! Booking said they could not refund my money because I already checked in. After being on hold speaking to both the middle eastern guy and booking for over 2 hours I find out the motel didn’t even reserve my room and booking just didn’t want to return my money. The supervisor said it was their fee and price of room which I couldn’t get because the lobby was closed. Do not get suckered please take your business elsewhere. Shame on you

I didn’t think all the Unilocal reviews about a place being so bad could be that true, but this place truly is 1 star worthy. You know it’s bad when the cleanest/​safest place you feel there is to sleep is the bathtub.

This place was horrible. I went here since it was in close proximity to Gaslamp and there were no other available hotels since I booked last minute. Even if you have to stay farther, it is worth driving to avoid staying here. I should have read Unilocal before booking. Hotel owners are so immoral and will definitely try to screw customers over to make more money. When I got there I showed them my online reservation, which had the total dollar amount at a relatively low price and he mentioned that he told me another price over the phone (which he didn’t). All of a sudden they never received my reservation and had no rooms available. After arguing and informing them they should take responsibility for not having my reservation, miraculously a room was available. I’m surprised they are still in business.

the worst experience ever! and to top it off… someone tried to open my room with their key while i was in my room!!! the ppl staying there were so freaken loud we weren’t able to get any sleep… the staff there don’t care about their customers experience but only about the money they rip u off with. plz look for another
place to stay at cuz u will regret staying here also the a/​c hardly blows any cold air.

Cricket infestation IN our room, loud obnoxious guests until 4am, and zero guest services. It’s a cheap stay. I wouldn’t recommend it on a weekend unless your wasted and don’t care. However, shame on me for not Unilocaling first and checking on kayak. Shame on me for also trying to be cheap since this was a weekend visit for school versus play. NEVER AGAIN. They don’t deserve a single star in my book, but that’s not an option here.

The owner here who you most definitely will deal with is extremely rude quite possibly the worst person you’ll ever meet in the hospitality business. About a whole 15 minutes before our scheduled checkout time at 11 am, he barged into our room without knocking and yelled, «what the fuck are you doing here» like we were a bunch of squatters who didn’t pay him $ 150 for one of the crappiest second rate hotel rooms in the country. A complete wonder how this place is still in business.

Terrible «Hotel». It’s a Motel, name it as such. Dirty, blood and shit stained sheets. Plastic «splash guards» around fixtures and lamp shades. All the reviews before were spot on. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. $ 200 for this?! Pictures online are FAKE. There is no tennis or ice. Owner is a Douche. Owns parking lot next door and pockets the cash. DO NOT STAY HERE.
