I love this place. I have been coming here for 8+ years, and don’t expect to stop any time soon. Katia is the nicest woman in the world, and it feels like going over to a friend’s house(not that any of my friends can cook this good). Everything is good here, from the Prih King to the Yellow Curry, to the seafood, to the soups, it’s all excellent. The real«best part» about this place isn’t even the food though, it’s the people. The food is excellent, but the staff would keep me coming back even if the food was only good instead of great. Katia especially makes sure that you feel at home when you come in, and you can’t put a price on that(not that they’re very expensive). They have my business. Post Script: I do wish they had a soda fountain. I drink soda pretty quickly with a meal, and I usually end up ordering a second can of coke.

Sala Thai is old faithful, but not with anything particularly great to write about. I’ve been going here for years and the food is usually good, service too, but you can get better Thai food elsewhere. Still, I like the owners and their family, who seem to run the place. It’s just fine without being really good.

I just had my first experience here, and it was awesome for the price. I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken and it was quite tasty. I will be coming back.

Can I say Wow. I’m impressed. First time here was a week ago with a Co worker and look at me back again. I loved the spring rolls, and the Chef Fried Rice with Shrimp to die for. Literally the best fried rice I ever ate anywhere. The wait staff was excellent, and the owner who we had paid with made me feel very welcomed and hoped I come again.

First time here, dinner with GF and her parents. This was dine in, not take out so I can’t comment on take out/delivery. I got the Garlic Crispy Shrimp, my GF got the Mango Chicken and we both shared. I found the food very tasty and the portions appropriate. We both cleaned out plates. We both got Thai iced teas, which we both finished, they were quick to bring us some water when we finished our tea. I don’t remember what the parents got, but they both seemed pleased, the place was their recommendation. I can’t think of anything bad to say, it was a very nice dinner, we’ll be back.

This is by far the best Thai food in San Diego. The tom ka chicken soup is absolutely awesome. Curry duck is excellent as well. The service is spot on and the owners are very sweet. Please visit this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

I ate here a few times and all were great experiences for many menu items. The last visit I had the chow mein noodles which were pretty good and not as oily as other restaurants. I also had the Tom Ka soup which was absolutely delicious for those coconut lovers.

We love the Yellow Curry with Tofu and Vegetables, We order from here at least once a week because it’s so fresh and delicious we could never duplicate in our kitchen. The Tom Ka soup nursed me through a recent cold, and the Veggie dumplings are so yummy. You just can’t get fresh real food for their prices, highly recommend!

I dunno why it’s expensive here when it’s not all that great. It taste like it’s a wannabe thai food. Sticky rice was not cooked right and papaya salad was weird.

We got take-out. When I stuck my fork into the pad thai noodles, they all came up together, formed to the shape of the box. Is as if it had been in the box for a couple days, then they zapped it in the microwave when we called in our order. My husband said his curry was fine, so that’s the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. Pad thai from the mall or a buffet would be an improvement.

Great food — large portions and friendly service. Maybe the best Thai in town and lastly love the fresh flower touch on all the tables.

One of my favorite Thai food places in San Diego! The food is amazing, but what makes this place is the amazing customer service. It’s a very family atmosphere with the staff. So my favorites are the Penang Curry, Tom ka soup and their fried tofu. Love this place!

So I am currently sitting at the establishment as I am typing this. To start, we ordered chicken satay because we wanted something simple. It’s a little on the sweet side, but it is served with a sauce that pairs with the sweetness well. I also asked for the kölsch style beer, the Kölschella, because I love beer and am from the coachella valley, which is where this beer is brewed. The beer is good, however it was not as cold as I would have liked it to be. My partner got a soft drink, which they gave her, but in a can, meaning NOREFILLS. bummer. Anyway, waiting on our main dishes. I’ll be back Alright, I am back. Shrimp fried rice was tasty and the sriracha rice was tasty too. Maybe I’ll be back.

Started with an appetizer of chicken satay and even though it was nicely spiced with curry and other spice flavors the chicken might have been cooked hours earlier and then kept in foil? I don’t know, that’s what it tasted like to me because it was moist but seemed so dry on the outer edges of the chicken. Was satisfied with the drunk noodles and shrimp used, although, it would have been better with more than just 6 pieces of shrimp in an entire plate of noodles. Prefer 7, 8, or 9 pieces of shrimp when paying over $ 10 bucks for a dish. Would re-visit, but might be a while before I actually return because of how my first experience here went down.

My favorite Thai restaurant for many years. Chera and Katia are super friendly, and they always treat you like family. The food is absolutely delicious, and the spring rolls are heaven on earth. I recommend any of the curries(the panang is my favorite!). Also love all of the noodle dishes. It’s really nice also when Chera brings out something special to try that is not on the menu, but she made it for her family and friends. I always look forward to going there. It is so peaceful, and the décor is beautiful.

Wakallla de Apollo. Service is good, place is cute. Rice ok, sate chicken is chewy, spring roll tasteless and coveted in the worst sweat and sour sauce. Wonton had no crab even tho its called a crab won ton. The side sauce
