Business Owner

My name is Mark Principato and I am the Owner/​Pitmaster of Rubbed Right BBQ. Going from backyard barbecue to competition was something I decided to do in order to further develop my skills and become a seasoned pitmaster. From the very first competition I entered I was hooked and began to develop new skills and techniques I would later use to become an award winning pitmaster. Since then I have won various awards in several categories and continue to compete as often as possible. Our meats are slow smoked the traditional way using different combinations of earthy woods and fruity woods that complement our flavor layering profile. Ultimately our goal is to serve the best quality barbecue possible and deliver excellent customer service!

Had this BBQ at a brewery! This is family owned. They ate extremely friendly and have the best BBQ. Their portions are so big you can share! I highly reccomend. Waiting for them to Carter a party for me

My friends and I had the opportunity to try Rubbed Right at Council Brewing this past weekend and their BBQ was phenomenal. We had the tri-​tip nachos, brat, and tri-​tip plate and each tasted very, very good. The tri-​tip was done just right and was super tender. The nachos exploded with flavor with every bite, especially with either a special sauce or spice they put on it. As simple as a brat may seem, it was very tasty and was complemented with the ingredients that was included on the brat. Also, each plate paired really well with the sour beers we had. The beans were full of flavor and chunks of bacon made it a delight to eat. The macaroni salad could have used a little more salt or spice but it wasn’t bad at all.
I would highly recommend Rubbed Right BBQ. If you see them at a local brewery or other venue, don’t hesitate to try their BBQ. They won’t disappoint!

Had this bbq at a local brewery tonight and it was really good… tri tip sandwiches looked great and so did the brisket… I got the pulled pork nachos and they were great and there was a lot of meat on them which was a hugh plus… I met the owner Mark and he was a very nice guy, he has been doing competition bbq for awhile and just starting with his catering in the last year. If he keeps doing what he is doing his business will boom… great job Mark and family… keep it up.
