I would highly recommend Dr. Edelson for any plastic procedure you are desiring, especially Blepharoplasty Surgery. He is kind, caring, professional, highly skilled and will go the extra mile to assist, explain and spend additional time if need be.
His staff is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and caring. The office space and surgery center are immaculate~ run on time, smoothly and with a very personal feel. I have sent many friends and co workers to Dr. Edelson for a variety of procedures and they have all given their «Seal of Approval.»

I had a consultation with Dr. Edelson for a upper Bleph. Dr. Edelson was recommended by two of my family members since they also had seen Dr. Edelson for a breast augmentation and had amazing results. Over the past several years I had been thinking about getting a Upper bleph because I had heavy excess skin. I had the consultation and immediately I scheduled my procedure. I felt at ease and not rushed or pushed into anything. The day of my procedure went well and when my designated driver picked me up (my DAD) he was so amazed on how well I recovered and look he also too wanted to have the same procedure done. I’m so happy with the result that I would hands down recommend Dr. Edelson to friends and Family.

I am so glad I went to see Dr. Edelson!!! I had consults with 3 other surgeons and I felt that he listened to me. He truly cares about his patients and makes you comfortable. I’m 38 and I had an upper bleph and I am beyond ecstatic! You can never be too young to address your concerns and get it taken care of! Dr. Edelson and his staff are more than professional yet caring.

This is an add-​on to a review I did last year. Of course one wants a skillful surgeon, but another thing to consider is how you are treated in the office, pre and post surgery. What prompted me to write this is that in October I had the occasion to be the driver for a friend who was having face/​eye surgery at Scripps La Jolla (the Anderson Clinic one). I don’t remember the name of her doctor, but that’s not my comment anyway. When I took her at her scheduled early a.m. check-​in time, there was no one there to greet her. Employees sauntered in and finally I asked where she was supposed to go. Someone then took over and I left until pick up time. Upon return she was wrapped like a mummy (standard), but she also had drains coming out, safety pinned to her blouse, because their hooks wouldn’t hold. Her blouse was sagging and no one seemed to care. I was unceremoniously given a stack of papers with no instructions except what I asked, and then… here’s the kicker… I had to wheel her out of the downstairs recovery area, past a waiting room, then up a public elevator, through a long busy lobby of the building, out to the front to my car. Yes, an attendant came along, too, but the issue is that it was VERY undignified and embarrassing for her.
Now…onto Dr. Edelson’s office. There is a special «Surgery» door into the office, which leads directly to the surgery room. You are made to feel welcome from start to finish. And, when it is over, and you look like a mummy, you merely slip out this back door right into your driver’s car. I didn’t realize how important this was until I experienced the other side of the issue.
So, to make what has become a long story, short, you will feel like you matter with Dr. Edelson and his fine staff.

I’m a nurse who knows what could go wrong with plastic surgery. I’ve put off having my upper and lower eyes done for years, but finally decided to go wit Dr. Edelson. I am very pleased with his work, his kind demeanor and access to talk to him. I think I called everyday after the surgery with a question and was always met with patience and expertise. His staff are amazing, especially Cristina who shared her own surgical experiences (done by Dr. Edelson) with me and she looks great!
I’m one week post op and already look awesome. Don’t be afraid. He’s honest and excellent at what he does with a lot of experience.

I highly recommend Dr. Ronald Edelson and his work. I am so happy with my eyes:) about two years ago my upper eyelids had aged drastically and Dr. Edelson performed a beautiful procedure!!! Recently he had matched my lower eyelids with the upper. They look amazing!!! I I look so much younger. I give my highest recommendation of Dr Edelson to all my family, friends and clients? I have such confidence in him!!! «He has changed my look’s to the very best They can be.

I had a facelift in December 2014. I met with a dozen plastic surgeons before making my choice. I don’t have anything negative to say about the surgeons I met but didn’t choose other than there was always something that didn’t impress me. From the moment I met the staff and Dr. Edelson I felt confident about his abilities. You will see instant and progressive results. It’s a process and it honestly takes about 6 months before you see the amazing results. I can’t say enough about the quality of the staff, the care and thought they take to make the surgery as stress free as possible. I was able to return back to work in two weeks with some prep work. The after care is just as amazing! Dr Edelson is an amazing surgeon with the before and after pictures that show absolutely amazing results! (not flaw free but just simply amazing), I can’t thank you enough.

I thought I did this over a year ago, but cannot find it, so I will do it again. My daughter who was blessed with her dad’s Roman nose had Rhinoplasty by Dr. Edelson. What a beautiful job he did! We always thought she was beautiful but she was not happy. Her confidence now is off the chart! Thank you Dr. Edelson! The staff was delightful and welcoming too! I would highly recommend him and his practice!

In the past, posting a recent picture on Facebook was a definite «no.» I would post older pictures and for the last year my profile picture was of my dog floating on a raft. My attitude has changed, thanks to Dr. Edelson. This week I posted a picture of myself almost four weeks post op and the responses from family and friends were overwhelming. Some of the words they used were «wow, beautiful, lovely, vibrant, looking great, gorgeous and terrific.» However, the best one was, «You don’t look a day older since the last time I saw you.» This really is quite funny since that was 30 years ago! Most of these comments came from people who had no idea I had cosmetic surgery.
Making the decision to have cosmetic surgery was not easy for me. I read about the pros and cons of the procedures I wanted done. I also learned about potential psychological feelings I might experience following the surgery. After many months of consideration, which turned into a year, I got the courage to say «yes.» I live in Georgia and decided I would have a consult with a local plastic surgeon. When I walked out of that appointment I knew that the only plastic surgeon I would let operate on me was Dr. Edelson. I met Dr. Edelson three years ago when I stayed with a friend following her cosmetic surgery. From the moment I met him I felt he was a very special doctor and surgeon. After my friend’s surgery, I knew that Dr. Edelson is an outstanding, gifted and caring plastic surgeon that wants the best outcome possible for his patients. The results of my friend’s surgery are perfect. She looks wonderful. Most importantly, she looks like herself but refreshed and years younger.
I flew to San Diego for a consultation with Dr. Edelson to discuss neck, lower face and upper and lower eyelid surgery. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions and concerns. I asked him what a realistic outcome would be. Dr. Edelson got a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye and said, «You will look natural, refreshed and vibrant. I can’t guarantee how much younger you will look but I can guarantee that your husband will recognize you.» This is just what I wanted.
I communicated frequently with Kristina, Dr. Edelson’s office manager who has been working with him for years. She was wonderful. I continued to ask questions and she was able to answer them. Two weeks prior to surgery I decided to talk with Dr. Edelson about an arm lift. At his request, I emailed him pictures of my arms to see if I was a candidate for this surgery. He agreed and I was thrilled.
From the day of my surgery until I left San Diego two weeks after surgery, I had frequent post-​op appointments for suture removal and assessments of my healing. Everything went perfectly. When I left, I felt like I was leaving a trusted friend. Since I have been home in Georgia, I have emailed Dr. Edelson pictures and he has called just to see how I am doing and if I have any additional questions or concerns.
If I could give Dr. Edelson 10 stars out of 10, I would. I am totally delighted with the results of my surgery. I absolutely believe all the compliments that I received on Facebook. If you are considering cosmetic surgery, do yourself a big favor and make an appointment for a consult with Dr. Edelson. In my opinion he is absolutely the best! I wanted the best and I am sure you want the best too.

Dr. Edelson has to be one of the best plastic surgeons there is! I had a revision Rhinoplasty done after 18 years. I am only 2 weeks post-​op and my nose already looks a million times better than it did before. Dr. Edelson is kind, patient, professional, talented/​skilled and extremely knowledgable. I went to 2 other surgeons before choosing Dr. Edelson. I trusted him to do what was best for me. He also performed some breathing enhancement procedures during my rhinoplasty and it is helping so much I no longer need to use my Flonase! His staff is kind and professional as well. The entire experience was truly great and I think Dr. Edelson is amazing and would highly recommend him to anyone!!!

Five stars may seem like I’m exaggerating but Dr. Edelson is not only a talented and fantastic surgeon but also has incredible bedside manor. I had never had surgery before my rhinoplasty preformed by Edelson and didn’t now what to expect. He and his assistants made me feel so comfortable prior, during, and after surgery. Before surgery, he knew exactly what I wanted my nose to look like and assured me the outcome would be adorable. After surgery, he took excellent care of me with multiple post-​opp appointments, such as the day following surgery and three days after surgery and so on. It’s been about 9 weeks since surgery and my nose is barely swollen, not sore whatsoever and looks AMAZING! It’s a noticeable difference but in the right way, where my face as a whole looks a thousand times better. He made my nose look naturally small and cute, and I couldn’t be happier with my result. I feel so confident to be in photos and being out, I look like a new and improved version of my myself from before! I can’t explain how happy I am with my result and as time goes on its going to continue to look better and better! If you are looking for a doctor to preform rhinoplasty I strong urge you to meet with Edelson. His rates are decent and so worth the result I can’t go on enough. :)

I went to Dr Edelson a year ago for revision rhinoplasty after consultations with 3 other doctors. After showing him pictures of results I was looking for he confidently told me he could give me the look I wanted which had not been achieved with my first rhinoplasty. I was excited to look through his book of before and after photos and felt very comfortable booking my appointment and trusting Dr Edelson with my appearance. A few months after surgery after the swelling and bruising had subsided, I decided I wanted my nostrils a little smaller. Dr Edelson did the touch up at no extra charge, he really is great. I also liked that the surgery room is in the same office, it makes the surgery process about as easy and comfortable as it can get. Dr Edelson and his staff are very friendly and I would recommend scheduling a consultation if you are interested in cosmetic surgery.

This will be a short and sweet review. I saw Dr. Edelman about a secondary rhinoplasty and he seemed very knowledgeable, experienced, and confident performing the surgery. I would have definitely considered him for surgery if it wasn’t for these factors:
1. Décor & Design, his practice has a cold and dense feel because of its dim lighting and heavy stone walls. It feels like you are walking into a mortuary or cave and may not make it out. They tried to spruce it up with transitional furniture pieces but failed with their mismatched décor and color choices.
2. Patient photo book, I have seen better craftsmanship from 1^st grade children. Do not present a book of your work that is falling apart to a person you are trying to gain as a client. I don’t want to see dirty, crooked photos of clients you had 6 years ago. Keep it updated and keep it clean!
3. (Largest issue) Kristina, financial assistant, I cannot trust a woman selling plastic surgery who looks like a plastic surgery nightmare. She even went further to brag that Dr. Edelman performed her procedures and said «at least your nose doesn’t look as bad as mine.» You look terrible! If I were Dr. Edelman, I would not associate or let this woman within. 50ft of my practice. She will be the downfall of your practice.
So 1 star only for the doctor who seems capable of a successful surgery. It would have been 2 stars but minus 1 for the financial lady.

Dr. Edelson is a pro. He and his staff are beyond friendly and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. Scheduling, surgery, and aftercare are smooth, uncomplicated, and simple. Not to mention he is excellent at his craft. I would highly recommend.

Best Plastic Surgeon in San Diego!
Let me start off by saying if you don’t visit Dr. Edleson before you make a decision on a plastic surgeon, you are doing yourself a disservice. I literally consulted with 10 plastic surgeons in the San Diego area, over a 5 month period before choosing Dr. Edleson. After my consult with Dr. Edleson, it was crystal clear to me that he would be the surgeon to perform my procedure. I can honestly say it was the best medical decision I ever made.
My consultation with Dr. Edleson was like talking to a trusted friend. I asked him quite a few questions about how he planned to do my procedure and discussed all of my concerns with him. Unlike many of the other surgeons, he stayed with me an hour and explained his philosophy about my procedure and the technique he would use to correct my problem while keeping my results looking natural. Kristina, his office manager, and the rest of the office staff are great and offered a level of customer service and professionalism that made me feel like a V.I.P!
I am 5 weeks post op and I couldn’t be happier with my results! Dr. Edleson did an amazing job of correcting my issue, while keeping my results natural, which is the hardest thing to do with a facial procedure. His bedside manner and post surgical follow up visits showed a level of patient dedication and attention to detail that are truly world class. I also must mention that his prices are the best value in town for a plastic surgeon of his caliber.
I am so thankful that I went to Dr. Edleson for my procedure. He truly exceeded my expectations!

On 9-​10-​2012, Dr. Ronald Edelson changed how I think about my neck for the better! He performed a face/​neck lift & upper/​lower eyelid lift. I’m overjoyed with the experience & the results, my husband is thrilled, & my sister-​in-​law has already had her consultation for a face/​neck lift in Jan. I look like a younger (I’m 64) & thinner (I’m plus size) version of myself. I was out in public in 2 weeks. Dr. Edelson is a truly gifted surgeon who follows up with you after surgery. His staff is GREAT!
I live in rural AZ. My sister-​in-​law lives in San Diego. I have hated my neck forever! She always said she would help me find a doctor & I could stay with her. She has 2 friends who had work done by Dr. Edelson, plus her dermatologist had recently had her eyes lifted. A dermatologist can choose any doctor, but she chose Dr. Edelson.
At my consultation Dr. Edelson was professional, friendly, & most important, he was genuinely interested in helping me improve my appearance. I asked Dr. Edelson about including a chin implant. My very thick neck was overpowering my chin. He said it would not be necessary. He did recommend I have my eyelids lifted. I love wearing eye make up now. Eye liner, even just a dry dark eyeshadow, stays put. An 18″ necklace hangs longer than a 20″ used to fit.
I decided to have general anesthesia. Surgery took about 4 hours. The next day I was up & feeling sore, but not enough to take pain meds. I had a lot of bruising. Now that I’m home I keep in touch with Dr. Edelson by email, pictures, & phone calls. It has been 7 weeks since surgery. There is still numbness, but the swelling is much reduced. I really love how I look & I’m glad I had this surgery. Dr. Edelson is talented, caring, & kind. He did a wonderful job on my face & I’m forever grateful.

I’ve never reviewed a physician before.
I’ve gotten to a point in my life that when something is very good, when someone goes the «extra mile», when results are beyond expectations… writing a review needs to become a part of my behavior… and using Unilocal seems to be the forum to do this.
I am one month post op from a mini face lift with Dr. Edelson on Genesee Avenue. I would describe a mini face lift as work on my face ‘beneath my eyes that includes the neck.
I knew I wanted these areas, of my face, when I went in to see Dr. Edelson for the first (and only) consult; unlike past experiences in plastic surgeons offices, Dr. Edelson didn’t explore other places on my face to change, reduce, or address.
In fact, just the opposite occurred. Dr. Edelson told me that I probably would be unhappy if I included my forehead or did anything ELSE! Frankly, this was shocking. I’ve only heard of plastic surgeons pushing patients to do more, not less when they finally have you in the chair consulting on a future procedure.
I had gone to his website and I wasn’t really sold by his video, but meeting him face to face was the clincher! He’s the real deal. He is low key and extremely professional. I knew I wouldn’t look any further once I met him. To be honest, two physicians who see other plastic surgeons work (all the time) had delicately directed me to him years earlier telling me when I was ready to have work done, Dr Edelson was the one to go to. I had waited, I was ready and he was still being recommended.

Here it is. Frankly, very simple.
His work is amazing. Within 10 days, I (and no one else) could tell I just had had surgery JUST 10 days prior.
But if I’m lucky and just don’t bruise a lot…
within10 days to 2 – 3 weeks… I was out and about. I looked fine and I didn’t look like I had work done. This was important to me.
Friends and people familiar with me knew I looked different, but thought I had lost weight or changed my hair. I just looked better. A fresher version of myself.
Today I saw my Doctor who knew about the procedure four weeks ago.
She told me it was the «BEST» face lift she has ever seen! What a compliment to get from a health professional!
That’s just what I wanted. I wanted to look fresh, maybe «well slept», but I didn’t want to look like I had work done…
You can’t ask for that on a menu… but I sure got every thing I wanted from Dr. Edelson and more.

I just had a lower face and neck surgery with Dr. Edelson. To be exact I had it 5 days ago. No one would have believed that I went through surgery so few days ago. If it wouldn’t have been for some slight bruising left after 5 days I don’t think that any one would have known that I had surgery.
Dr. Edelson is a professional, caring and very talented surgeon. I am extremely happy with the results of the surgery especially that he did it under local anesthesia, iv and Valium .
When I first came to see Dr. Edelson after two of my friends highly recommended him I told him that I am afraid of being put out and asked him if he can do the surgery with local anaesthesai. He looked at me and said no problem. The next day we spoke over the phone and when I asked him how would you do this surgery with local or general he said to go with local as it is not necessary to be put out, in my case.
Dr. Edelson always called back whenever I had a question before and after surgery. He is truly a very caring and talented physician who seems to love what he is doing. Very personal, warm, and responsive.
I would highly recommend him. I am thrilled with the natural look of my face and lower neck and in the future I would never go to any other plastic surgeon for consultative. He never tried to push other stuff on you and actually believes that a lot of the things that are on the market now are not necessary and don’t give you the result you want.
Do not have any doubt, you are in very good hands and his prices are very competitive.

When I first met Dr Edelson, I knew, that he will be the surgeon who will perform my operation. And after having consultations with 3 more doctors, I went back to him and had my operation done. He is brilliant, an artist of his profession, very honest and understanding. He calmly and patiently explains every question he is asked.
