Rich and Lindsey expertly sold out home in less than a month. They are courteous, resourceful, and experienced. They calmly handled all the hiccups and road bumps that came our way. I can tell you that compared to my first agent and many agents that I interviewed, that this was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. They saved me over $ 45,000 dollars. They made the contract so secure that when the seller started playing games, Rich and Lindsey reverted to the contract and convinced the owner that it was in his best interest to proceed with the transaction. The best part was for the delay, the owner agreed to pay an extra $ 12,000 dollars even though the repairs were $ 3,000 dollars. With Rich and Lindsey’s help throughout the process, we were able to find and purchase a wonderful home that we desired while staying within our budget. Early in the house-​hunting process, Rich and Lindsey spent the time and effort to understand our priorities and interests in purchasing a home. After finding what we wanted, they continued to shepherd us throughout the wonderfully complex process of escrow and home repair. And in a wonderful personal touch, they dropped a case of beer while we were moving in.
At the heart of it, Rich and Lindsey are a team with complementary skills. Lindsey was integral in identifying possible purchases and arranging the viewing of the homes. Many times her indefatigable charm «greased the wheels.» Our eventual home was a prime example — because it was tenant occupied at the time, it had a unique requirement that the house was not open to view until a bid was accepted. Because of Lindsey’s kind persistence, we were able to view the property prior to making a bid, something no other potential buyer was able to do.
As we moved into the escrow process, Rich’s legal expertise and calm-​under-​pressure manner that seems to pervade former military officers was indispensable. Rich’s counsel defused numerous possible problems and assuaged our fears on many occasions. He managed the five ring circus of ourselves, the seller’s property management company, the residing tenants, escrow firm, and loan agency with aplomb. Rich even helped us write up rental contracts for the spare mother-​in-​law cottage that is part of the purchase.
We bought a fixer upper that needed work before closing. Through Rich and Lindsey, we were able to arrange independent contractors for home inspection, termite treatment, tree trimming and removal, plumbing, painting, and roofing. The teams from Plumb Loco, Knock ‘em Out, and TAG construction are honest, competent and a pleasure to work with. It was both easier and cheaper to go with their referrals than to cold call businesses. Furthermore, as that business was completed, Rich and Lindsey requested feedback on the contractors involved to allow reassessment for future clients. It is clear that they cultivate a network of contacts, meaning that you can tap into the local knowledge of not just of them, but everyone that has been their client in the past.

Update. I finally bought a house! I just closed escrow last month. Lindsey and Rich were phenomenal, and instrumental in getting this deal to close. I had a very long and complicated escrow (due to issues with the seller’s agent) and Rich’s legal skills were invaluable during this transaction. I wouldn’t have been able to close this deal without Lindsey and Rich’s expertise, patience, and good humor. These agents are seasoned pro’s…they know the in’s and out’s of San Diego real estate, and are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!
