Business Owner

Mike has been with Priority Door & Window for over ten years. He has over fifteen years in the door, window, and construction industry. Mike began his career as a purchasing manager for a large commercial construction company in Maine, where is he from. He also managed the building construction of his own rental property. The vast knowledge and expertise that he contributes as an owner of Priority Door & Windows is immeasurable. Mike takes pride in the day to day operations of working with the Priority team. He enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, and all the many great amenities San Diego has to offer.

Working with Priority Door and Windows has been the most enjoyable, and least stressful part of our remodel. Their showroom is great, product choices phenomenal, and the sales staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone there really goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, understand all of the options, and that you get the best product for your money.
We have recommended them many times, and will continue to recommend them in the future.

Great selection of high end products and very knowledgeable sales staff. They work with the best installers especially on high quality products like the large custom Fleetwood lift and slides.
Purchased all my exterior windows and glass sliders as well as custom made skylights from Bristolite. We worked with Mike Schott who was well versed in all of their product offerings, advantages and disadvantages of one product over another, the various product options within each line and everything in between.
Very competitively priced and he made sure to go over anything custom made two if not three times to make sure there were no errors before things went into production. Saved a ton of potential headaches and everything worked out seamless.

We ordered all of our windows and glass doors in our new home from Priority Door and Windows. I’m surprised by some of the reviews here because we had nothing but excellent customer service from the start. Mike was especially helpful. He spent several hours with us going over options in their showroom and then showing us options online. He walked us through all of the details and even spoke with our architect and our contractor to make sure it was just right. The product which we got was fantastic, and when one of our sliders was installed incorrectly (the fault of our contractor who installed it) Mike sent out a tech to have it resolved immediately. We have been impressed and would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great product and excellent customer service.

Priority is in the business to make their commission only. They want full payment up front, which I paid for all the windows and doors, I ordered a customer entry door for over $ 12,000 and La Cantina Doors for over $ 15,000. Jeld-​wen windows and doors.
The salesman, Jason never came to my job site, a 50 minute drive. Jason never took charge of the La Cantina custom door which was delivered in the wrong size and color. More so, Jason never communicated with either my contractor or us. In fact, I returned a call to Jason and it took 3 days and me calling again to follow up. Also the entry door came in with the swing in the wrong direction. 3 projects, two mess ups!

We have used Priority Door & Window several times with excellent results.
Several years ago we ordered doors for our apartment building’s hot water heater closet.
They were all different sizes and when they arrived and were installed by their recommended installer everything fit perfect.
Next we used them to replace every window in our house which is about 20 and again the job and end result was perfect.
We were so happy with their service and professionalism that we ordered new windows for our son’s home in Long Beach. Again the fit was perfect on all of the windows and used their installer again and the job turned out beautiful.
We have always been treated fairly and with utmost professionalism and recommend this company for those in need of doors and windows
I noticed a review that complained that they offer a discount and was upset that it was only on check or cash. Well anyone that deals with credit cards knows that they cost the merchant a percentage of the sale so I for one appreciate a discount on a non credit card purchase.

Priority deserves some Unilocal love because the value of the services I received far outweighed the money I paid.
When one of my windows nearly fell out of its frame, I had no idea how to fix it. All I could tell was that mechanism on the side of the window had snapped. I found the window brand (Milgard), went to their web site, then found Priority as the nearest service provider. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away, and within minutes they figured out the proper replacement parts. Sunny Normandin was a great help. One week and $ 12 later, I have my new parts and my window is fixed! If only all of life’s little problems could be solved this easily.
A previous reviewer noted the 3% charge for credit cards, which is consistent with my experience. I don’t think that’s «sly», but rather the norm for the building products industry.

Priority Door & Window was wonderful to work with. Their sales team worked with me every step of the way to choose, order and deliver my windows. They also connected me with someone who could install them. I was very happy with the customer service, their product knowledge and their prompt attention to any questions I had. They also spent a lot of time getting specs for my custom doors and though I still haven’t ordered them, I know where I will be going when I am ready to. Highly recommend.

We ordered door here for our business and they have a «policy» that the price quoted reflects a 3% discount if paid by cash or check. Seems like a sly way of not accepting credit cards. If you accept credit cards you do, its the cost of doing business.

Skip, the Owner just hung up on me. I had a feeling when I walked in that this place was not right. The guys were all looking down– really no confidence and kind of a wimpy feel to the place. After an error in ordering my windows which I brought to their attention prior to signing off the order, The owner offered to let me re-​order windows after they ordered them wrong in the first place, said he would pay half of newly ordered windows.
I said I did not want new windows ordered just half the price back. The owner said no, come get your windows and hung up. I called back and got the secretary who was really nice. Contractors beware!
The refund I am asking for is just $ 90 dollars. Definitely they will not admit when they are wrong.
