President & CEO, Michael Patton is a 31+ year veteran of hospitality and travel services and has been designated CMM (Certification in Meeting Management), which places him in the top 1000 meeting and travel professionals in the world! He has operated a Corporate Planning and Travel Department for Maritz, Inc for several years prior to starting POTHOS. Michael has selected a small, very experienced team that feels as passionate as he does about providing the experience to our customers. Combined, the team speaks 7 languages, has been to more than 42 countries on 6 continents.
POTHOS business mix includes State and Federal Government projects, exclusive VIP clients and corporate business.

Business Owner
Michael is a 31+ year hospitality veteran. He is the President & CEO of POTHOS, Inc. He has been employed as both a planner and a supplier and is also a Service Disabled Veteran of the United States Navy.
He has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He has achieved his CMM (Certified Meeting Manager) designation from Meeting Professionals International. He is well versed in International Business & Multiculturalism with first-hand experience in dozens of countries worldwide.
He has served on the Board of Director’s for several Chapters of Meeting Professionals International also for the CA Disabled Veterans Business Alliance and is the Past-President of the San Diego Chapter of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International (SDHSMAI). He is certified by the American Hotel and Motel Association as Adjunct Faculty and was faculty at CalState San Marcos teaching international meeting planning & travel related topics.
