I visited a Passport Health Clinic in Davie, FL. The knowledge and experience of the nurse far surpassed my doctor. The nurse was aware of recent outbreaks of disease in the visiting country and provided honest rrecommendations for vaccines. Ultimately, which vaccines I chose was up to me. The nurse also wrote prescriptions for prophylaxis medications. I highly recommend this service especially in Florida where the State Health Departments are poor.

I’ve been to this location several times. I have to have annual vaccines for work. Most recently I had to have a Titer. When I showed up, there was only one person there working. She freaked out because she didn’t know how to draw blood then proceeded to tell me she «could try». No thanks! Why require me to make an appointment, tell me I would be charged if I cancelled and when I show up you can’t provide the service I made an appointment for?! It would be nice if you paid me for the services you weren’t able to perform and wasting my time. They sent me to Labcorp and I can’t even get the paperwork to load into my work system. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

Wowww please do not go here! I got ripped off… by a lot! I called and urgently needed to get some shots prior to my trip. I paid $ 320 for two shots when I called Walgreens afterward, they charged $ 175 for the same two shots. The nurse also tried selling me extra shots that I did not need and I sat there for 20 minutes (which is the $ 60 consultation I had to pay). I asked the person on the phone and the person who gave me the consultation an estimate, they both were so vague. The total cost blew my mind! Dont go here unless you want to get robbed.

Staff was super friendly. They give you a booklet with your name and great information about the place you are traveling to. I felt very comfortable after I left.
Only reason I gave them 4 stars was because the price. I understand that the actual shots might be expensive, but the $ 75 fee just for the office visit on top of the shots was a little much.

These people will not provide any information ahead of time but force you to schedule an expensive consultation. Then they hit you with vaccinations that cost in the hundreds of dollars. Since I’m not willing to get ripped off like that, it was a complete waste of time and the $ 60 the appointment cost.

Do not go to Passport Health! This is a scam to collect a 70.00 consultation fee and overcharge for immunizations you can get from any pharmacy for half the price. They do not disclose that they charge a 70.00 consultation fee should you decline their over priced services. Beware travelers!

Worst place ever!!!
Was quoted a price before arriving. Price increased by 4x by the end. They recommended extra Immunizations that weren’t even recommended by the CDC or health dept. do your own research before trusting these «experts». Charged a consultation fee on top of fee for service… Usually the consultation fee is waived in lew of treatment fee. Poor experience from beginning to end, overpriced and unnecessary.
Quoted a price on the phone of 99 dollars, when I arrived the price went to 312. To top it off, if I didn’t agree, they would still charge a consolation fee… Extortion!!!
(32dn and university at Walgreens they have the same shots less price and no consultation fee or any extra fee)

Was coming here for vaccines for travel…
1 — Their prices are insane compared to other places that do the exact same thing.
2 — They tried to recommend I needed an additional shot that I ended up not even needing.
3 — They even try to charge you to cancel the apt.
4 — The only reason I’m giving a 2 star is because the lady on the phone was nice, the location is convenient, and they are open on weekends unlike others.
LEI Medical is cheaper, more knowledgeable, but is not open on weekends.
I saved $ 200 by going there though so Im not complaining.

Great experience at passport health. They were very accommodating scheduling my appointments, and they always called me to confirm them a day before. The staff was very knowledgable and took the time to explain all the vaccines available and what was recommended. Very relaxed and polite vibe.

Wonderful experience. Very hesitant at first because I feared getting pressure sales about vaccinations, but it never came. Full of detailed information specifically geared to my personal trip. Thank you so much Venus. Enjoyed the experience.

Venus was super helpful and informative for all of the vaccines and precautionary measures I needed for my trip to Africa.

They are AWESOME. I have done a lot of traveling for missions trips and they were by far the most prepared, the best, and the most prompt. I had an appointment at 9 and I was out by 10. They made a whole travel booklet for me that had all the information I need for the country I’m going too.
Another thing that I liked about them was the fact that they told me that they offer it but I could get better prices at another place which shows they actually care about me as a customer. Lastly they were very good pricing and had other travel supplies that you could purchase for great prices.
Venus the RN is AWESOME! I would totally recommend going there for all your travel shots.

I went to Passport Health when preparing for a trip to India. They have great service and were able to help me take care of my vaccinations along with a consultation on what to expect and reviewed what shots I would need.
The only reason I didn’t give them a five star is the price. Granted, my health is priceless but the vaccinations were definitely very pricey. After the two visits, with the appropriate time between rounds, I spent $ 990 on vaccinations! I did receive a vaccination for Japanese Encephalitis, a serious viral infection prevalent in one of the areas that I was visiting. It cost me $ 325 per dose and I needed two to be fully protected. OUCH, talk about expensive.
But all things considered, I’m back from my trip and 100% healthy. I’m planning another international trip to Guatemala and despite the price, I’ll be visiting them again. My health is worth it and I’d rather be safe than sorry. Now, I just need to reach out to my insurance to see what they’ll cover!

Expensive, not very informative and not very smart.
First, pricing. I needed to get 3 vaccines: polio, typhoid and japanese encephalitis for my trip to India. They quoted polio at $ 75, typhoid at $ 125 (oral or injectable, even though the injectable should be cheaper) and japanese encephalitis at a whopping $ 325 each (two required). These prices are very inflated as compared to other travel clinics in the area. For example, International Travel Clinic in Ocean Beach charges $ 50, $ ⁷⁰⁄₉₀ and $ 250, respectively for the same vaccines! That’s a difference of over $ 230 in total!!! Inflated prices at Passport Health.
Second, information. Yes, their spiral bound notebook is very nice. However, most of the information is on the CDC website about your country. So, not that helpful or original. It certainly doesn’t warrant the higher prices.
And third, intelligence. Passport Health actually prescribed an antibiotic to my girlfriend WHO WAS ALLERGIC TO THAT ANTIBIOTIC! They said it was a different class than the one she was allergic to. But, when we looked into it more, it is not a different class of antibiotic: it’s the same and would have caused a severe allergic reaction in her while we were overseas! Seriously not OK and bordering on negligence.
I highly DON’T RECOMMEND Passport Health as a travel clinic.

Same shots at lower prices are available elsewhere. The San Diego County website has a a link to
for a list of doctors (I went to Dr. Ned Chambers in Point Loma) who will consult, advise and administer immunizations for travel. Save yourself some money.

Went to Passport Health and they consulted and made it easy to get my vaccines for a trip to Belize. I was in and out without a hitch and they even sent my vaccination records to my normal doctor.
My only gripe is that they should get their credit card configured to be recognized as a medical service instead of a business. Bank of America HSA will not work at this location however others do and will. BofA will decline it based on the credit service the company is registered as.

This place is great! Friendly and informed staff. I never felt pressured to get extra immunizations or buy unneeded supplies.
They also were able to advise about where to buy travel supplies.
They can often fit you in last minute and are flexible with appointments.
I am currently sending in my yellow vaccine card to have it stamped since I forgot it during my appointment, they said they would stamp it and mail it back to me at no charge, very helpful!
I highly recommend passport health!

Based on the other reviews, I decided to give this place a shot for my upcoming trip to India and Nepal. They really take the time to go over every possible vaccination with you. I felt comfortable and informed when making each of the decisions that I needed to make. The shots I opted for were given right then and there and my anti-​malaria medication was called into the pharmacy of my choice. I even walked out with a notebook on the countries for this trip.
If you have any questions regarding travel medications or vaccinations, I would recommend making an appointment with these guys!

They are very informative and helpful.
I was able to use my HSA card.
Going back today to get Malaria pills so I’m all ready to for my trip.
Great customer service and they are specialists in the travel medicine.

I found out that I had to go to India unexpectedly (family illness). Since my GP lives in Arizona and I am here in San Diego, I had to find the most inexpensive, comprehensive method of vaccinating, medicating, and physically preparing myself for this trip. I have been to India numerous times and LOVE it (highly recommend it to all), but as an experienced adventurer, I do believe that one should take as many precautions beforehand. Preparedness is the key!
I had less than one month and was a little flummoxed. I started with Google and almost immediately found a link for Passport Health. It appears that they are a national organization that provides medical, prophylactic care for international travel AND valuable information about currency, culture, and contacts.
I read on their website that I was to start my vaccines as soon as possible, so I called the local chapter of Passport Health. The gentleman who answered the phone scheduled me for the next day, informed me as to what forms of payment they expect, and gave me a base estimate.
I showed up the next day (definitely look up directions because it is located behind another building and can be difficult to find, though there is ample parking, which is always a plus here in San Diego!) and, once inside, found the office easily. I filled out some paperwork and waited less than ten minutes before I was escorted into the RN’s office. She was warm and confident, very friendly. The first thing she did was hand me a bound packet chock-​full of information including recommended vaccines/​medications, tourist/​embassy resources, description of culture and currency, etc. It was thin enough for me to toss into my suitcase so I could refer to it while traveling!
We then went over my vaccine history and discussed what we each thought would be practical and cost-​effective. She was very respectful of my opinions and I felt very strongly that the decisions we came to were appropriate. We took care of the bill ($ 50 for an initial consultation plus the cost of the vaccines — if I needed to return for more treatment, I would pay a la carte; the $ 50 was a one-​time-​per-​trip fee).
She took me into another room, very peaceful with foliage and views, and quickly vaccinated me, filled out a vaccine card that handily fit in a folder in the packet, and had me wait in the waiting area for about 15 minutes to watch for reactions before sending me on my way.
The day before my trip, my insurance didn’t go through on my anti-​malarial tablets (always a must when traveling to India). I called Passport Health and spoke directly to the RN who prepared the medications for me and had them ready within the hour. The cost, while expensive, was nowhere near as pricey as what I would have paid through my GP. Passport Health does not honor insurance, but all in all, their prices seemed lower than expected and there is definitely some comfort in the one-​stop shopping aspect.
I found my experience with Passport Health to be extremely positive! They are clean, organized, not pushy, and very very helpful.
Now, go visit them and then go on some wonderful adventure!!!
