From start to finish, from manager to sitters, this was a wonderful experience for me and my angel cat, Barbie. I went away on vacation and my sister is allergic to cats, and I don’t trust anyone else with her, so I started looking around for some sort of cat sitter. Paws to Pavement had the best reviews, so I decided to give them a try. The managers were very professional, organized, and understanding. Likewise, the staff are awesome. They even noticed that Barbie had fleas! I didn’t notice because she hardly ever scratches. So they recommended a flea product and now she is as good as new. The price is great too. All in all – I trust them with my fur baby and will definitely be using their services in the future.

I LOVE paws to pavement!!! We have a difficult pit bull who doesn’t get along with other dogs and have struggled finding a good dog walker. Summer introduced us to Nico, who is absolutely fantastic!

I cannot say enough good things about Paws to Pavement. We have been using them for over two years for our pit bull mix and are always satisfied. The walkers and owners of the company are caring and responsive and I always trust that our dog and our home are in great care. Our dog is very sensitive to people around her and doesn’t really love anyone other than me, but she LOVES Danielle her walker. I would recommend them to anyone who works long days and needs to get their pups some exercise!

Paws to Pavement does more than just dog walking! They also catsit. We have been using Emily as our petsitter for about a couple years now. She’s fantastic — so friendly and accommodating. We have no worries when Emily is in charge. She does what we’ve requested and sends a daily update with pictures! When we return, our house is exactly where we left it and our cat seems very content. I highly recommend Emily if you live in the Normal Heights and surrounding area.

We don’t need a dog walker every week but there are times when one of us is traveling that it just makes things easier. We started working with Paws to Pavement here and there a few months ago. They have been accommodating, professional and responsible. The 15 minute Potty Break is perfect for our old girl and we love love love the Pet Check technology which lets us know when our walker arrives and departs. Oh and who doesn’t enjoy a few photos of their fav dog mid-​day! Gives me piece of mind and brightens my day when I’m away. Excellent service at a good price… couldn’t ask for more!

Use them for my dog since I can’t make it home every day to walk her. It was recommended to me by a friend, who has used them for more than a year. It’s so easy and they’re really great people. I love the pictures I get at work with my dog on a fun walk or enjoying the park! They clearly love animals! Now I would never use anyone else for my puppy!

I broke my ankle over the summer and was unable to walk my dog. I needed a reliable dog walking service fast and I’m so glad that I found Paws to Pavement! Danielle is a wonderful dog walker and my little guy adores her. It’s great that he gets to walk with some other pups in the afternoon. Summer is responsive with scheduling needs and accommodating last minute changes. I always get pictures of my pup texted to me from his walks, and I really like the Pet Check Technology that sends an email when your dog is picked up and dropped off.
4 stars instead of 5 because the GPS feature does not work and I have not been able to schedule night walks. Otherwise, this is a great find for your pup and I highly recommend them!

We have been using Paws to Pavement since we adopted our now 3 year old Cattle Dog/​Rate Terrier. When we adopted Rogue about 9 months ago, we were new doggy owners and also renters.
After doing a month of research, i finally called Paws to Pavement. Within a couple of hours, Emily contacted me and scheduled a visit with Paul, Rogues soon to be best friend!
Emily and Paul sat down with me and did everything possible to ensure me Rogue would be in great hands. At the beginning we had ALOT of rules for Rogue, I.E. Bark Collar, Crate, Etc. Paul and Emily assured me they would keep everything the same and would work with Rogue and myself. 7 Months later i am writing this review to not only say thank you for the services provided but to help the next person who comes along find the right services. We are relocating to New York and will miss the Paws to Pavement Staff!
Best part about this company is the check in bar-​code scan! You get an email whenever the walker arrives and it gives you a sense of happiness knowing your dog is having fun while you are working hard to pay the bills!!!

We have had Paws to Pavement taking care of our little ones for quite a while now (probably close to a year). I originally found them on Unilocal and was pleasantly surprise with the professionalism and care they take with our animals.
Their pet check technology helps ease my anxiety while I am stuck at work. I will have an immediate update sent to my phone when the walker gets to the house and one with a sweet note when they leave. The walker captures the sweetest and funniest faces of post-​walk/​snuggles happiness.
Summer has been more than accommodating and flexible. She is knowledgeable with dog behaviors and helped me when my Weimaraner was having extreme separation anxiety.
My pups light up with excitement when they see Danielle and Summer. Their reaction reassures me they are comfortable with them which makes me more comfortable with the whole situation. Working long hours and commuting can be hard on apartment dogs but having Paws to Pavement apart of our family keeps my pups happy.

Used the dog walking service for my babies while I was on vacation. I can’t imagine a better staff. The manager/​owner Summer had to personally take my dogs due to the late notice. My dogs can be a REAL handful. Leash aggression, jumping, etc… None of that was a problem for her. My vacation was so much better knowing that my pups were in good hands. My roommates also said she was a pleasure and great with all three of my monsters. I felt EXTREMELY comfortable giving the walkers access to my home. I even got a picture emailed to me :) Having a walker/​sitter was such a better option than boarding my dogs. They are already stressed when we leave, it was nice to know they got to stay home and were given all the walks/​love they would be given if I was there. Paws to the Pavement offers all kinds of services at different time increments. Walks, playtime, etc… At VERY competitive rates. Being an overprotective owner, I left a long list of what walks my dogs like, their vet info, and individual needs. Summer was very accommodating! Thank you so much Summer & team for being a mom to my kids while I was gone. They went above and beyond and I will never board my dogs or use another dog walking service!

I have been using Paws to Pavement for the past couple of months now and I must say that the service my dogs Ducky and Roo have recieved has been awesome! Emily is our primary dog walker and she has been amazing from the very start. She always sends me updates and pics when she has the dogs with her and I can tell that she takes a sincere interest in my little babies. She has always been very accommodating with my hectic schedule and even allows my dogs to hang out at her place and socialize other dogs (which I love). Thank you Emily and to the rest of the staff at Paws to Pavement.

Paws to Pavement is awesome! Danielle, our walker, is so great with my pittie mix, Cow. She and Summer, the walk coordinator & sub, met with my trainer to learn how to enforce our strict heel walking. They are always friendly and accommodating with my last minute changes and I love the summaries and pictures. It is such a weight off of my shoulders to get the check-​ins and know, real time, that my pup is getting the attention he needs. I have recommended them to at least three of my friends and they all have the same rave reviews.

Unfortunately, my dog walker made the honest mistake of losing the keys to my home while walking my dogs around my neighborhood. He retraced his steps while I double and triple checked my home without success. I assumed that a company that was «licensed, bonded and insured» would offer to re-​key my home in an effort to correct the mistake made on their end.
The regional manager of Normal Heights (and possibly surrounding areas) proceeded to tell me that there was ABSOLUTELY NO possible way that the keys could be traced back to my home since they were unmarked. I explained that this is probably true in most cases, but that I (especially as a female) was very uncomfortable with the slight chance a stranger could have the keys to my home, such as if the keys were lost right in front of my home. The regional manager was very unsympathetic and she made it clear that Paws to Pavement would not re-​key my home stating, «Keys are lost all the time. If Paws to Pavement had to re-​key every home, the cost would be exorbitant.»
So I asked, «What if someone enters my home with a set of keys?» She responded, «If you were home and someone entered your house with a set of keys, assuming that you could PROVE the keys are the ones you gave us, then we would help you out.» I was shocked. I could not believe that a company would even risk putting their customers in this position!
Throughout our conversation the regional manager stood firm as she repeatedly stated, «I just DO NOT understand why this bothers you so much.» She attempted to prove her point by sharing that someone broke into her car and stole a key ring full of house keys while she was on a dog walk. She confirmed that Paws to Pavement did not re-​key a single home and according to her it did not bother a single client. She also shared that Paws to Pavement requests two sets of house keys just in case they lose one of them. Apparently, once you hand over your unmarked house keys they are at the company’s disposal.
She concluded, «If you have a problem with giving someone the keys to your home, then you should not have signed up for this service. You should have signed up for another service.» I do not have a problem with giving someone the keys to my home, but I DO have a problem with a company making a mistake and not putting forth the slightest effort to correct it. I cannot remain with a company that does not value my personal safety or the security of my home and I will definitely be searching for another service.

I emailed this company via their website to set up a meet and greet. I was going to get very busy at work and wanted to set up some dog walking services. I received an email the very next day asking me to fill out a prescreening form and telling me the name of someone from my area that would call me. Well, 3 weeks later and I haven’t heard from anyone. I even emailed the original person asking if there was something wrong with the prescreening form, etc., but still, no response. I am so sick of companies not taking the time to be professional and responding to customers or potential customers in a timely fashion. I am so sick of this world that is slowly becoming one that lacks customer service skills. If I’m willing to pay you for a service, have some respect and respond.
I have found someone else that I’m working with, but more and more I am experiencing companies that do not have any customer service skills and I’m sick of it. In response, I have decided to begin rating them on the Internet, social media, and to my friends. It may not make a huge difference, but it might make me feel better.
No, I do not recommend this company because they don’t respond within a timely manner.

This review is a long time coming! We’ve been using Paws to Pavement for a year now!
We first started when our dog Walle was about 10weeks old. They came and walked him twice a day and fed him his noon meal! They made potty training possible since we both work!
Kristin is amazing and has accommodated many last minute requests and even checked I mom Walle when he was sick.
Fast forward to now-​we have a new walker named Summer! We love her and so does our pup Walle. She is very prompt and always takes him out for jive long walks/​play times. She sends text message updates after each walk which is super nice! I can tell that she really loves dogs and loves Walle!

I just love them! Kristin, Morissa, Andrew and team have done an exception job taking care of our dogs. I’d like to write on our experience so far, since this will be an ongoing review of their business.
Getting started was extremely easy! Much easier than I thought it would be. Our dog Izzy is almost 5 years old and has been okay with staying home by herself for a long time until we adopted Max. Max is a different story since we both work and he’s just a puppy and we live in an apartment. I talked with Kristin over the phone and she and I agreed for her and her team to come meet the dogs and check our place out.
They came and it was super smooth. We all spent time getting to know each other because bottom line was that they were going to be in our home when we were not going to be here. That takes a lot of trust. They seemed very nice and like they really wanted to make sure our dogs were taken cared of. We also have a cat, but they’ve never really been on the hook to watch him, Ben, Mr. Independent. I filled out the paperwork and they started the walks the next day. Their pricing is very competitive for what they offer and how flexible they are with us. Rather than bring our dogs somewhere, which takes a lot of time, they come over our place. They bill the week after the walks, and communication for scheduling is simply by email and or text messaging (last minute changes).
Fast forward a few months now and our dogs have been so taken cared of! It has been so worth it! They love our animals! They even love our cat! We spend the little extra money to have them taken to Balboa’s dog park a few times a week too. The peace of mind they give us while we’re both at work is immeasurable. Morissa is our main walker and both of our dogs absolutely love her! Just so you know, our dogs are well behaved (for the most part) and I knew that they wouldn’t have any real issues with them.
If you are looking for PROFESSIONALS to take care of your furry pals, Paws to Pavement San Diego is the way to go! I’m throughly impressed by their customer service and their attention to detail. They always leave notes on how the walks went and when they have any concerns. I feel they communicate really well and if you call them about anything, they call back as soon as they can. They also send us pics of our dogs during the walks, which makes me fall in love with our dogs over and over again. I sincerely hope we can maintain this relationship and they will continue to offer top notch service! Love you guys!
