I have always had a passion for animals. I grew up with different types of pets. Some of my first jobs as a teen and young adult were around and working with animals. Last year I decided to start up my own pet care business.

I grew up with different types of pets; small caged animals, bird, fish, dog and currently a cat. A few of my first jobs I worked around pets and with pets.

I got pet first aid and CPR trained by the Red Cross. I have 10+ years in the pet care industry. I’m a member of PSI. I’m licensed, bonded and insured.

Stephanie took great care of our two rambunctious pups while we were away over Christmas. She visited three times a day, sending us text updates every time, as well as a picture update once a day. She took thorough notes during the consultation, so I felt confident that she would handle all of the little details correctly. She was flexible and accommodating to our needs. I could enjoy my vacation with ease, knowing my pups were in such good hands. I will definitely be using Stephanie again in the future!

My cats were well cared for. I liked that I wasn’t required to leave a key with them like other pet sitters have demanded. I will definitely use this service again. I had a hard time finding a pet sitter in the Kearny Mesa area, so I am happy to have found them.

Scheduled an appointment to come check out our place. Came to meet us and half assed looked for our place. Lady that took my message and set it up with us didn’t really listen to what we needed and when we finally were going to meet decided we were out of where they serviced… sounded like lazy people that are also bad at communicating… I’m guessing that’s how they also take care of your pets. I would think about it before using these guys. I think they run it out of their house also…

Paws in Good Care is Excellent and I recommend them for your pet-​sitting needs! Stephanie followed my directions in caring for my three cats and bunny. Also, she texted me photos of my fur-​kids while I was away! I think that was a really nice touch. When we met for a free consultation, it was very clear that she loves animals, and that my cats and bunny would be in good hands. Two of my cats went right up to her to sniff her/​check her out.
It was great to meet the person who would actually be coming into my home… the previous San Diego based pet sitting service I used had the owner come over, but then each time I went out of town they would send a different person over to my house. I did not like that — and they were not good at follow instructions! I am glad a dumped that other service and I am SO grateful for Stephanie and Paws in Good Care!
