Description

Specialties

OPAKA: Optimal Performance, Alignment, & Kinesthetic Awareness.

At Opaka Method studio you will find a work out environment that is warm and inviting. But don’t let the Zen, spa-like vibe fool you — this place is about serious fitness. Workouts here are unique: a hybrid blend of strength training, Pilates, Yoga, and NEW Roll & Release. Once you experience this place you can cancel your gym memberships. If you live with pain, or just want to get rid of muscle tightness and soreness, our Roll & Release program is a game changer. You will leave your first session feeling longer, stronger, lighter, and lifted. While most work outs out there do a great job of «working you out» we don’t stop there. Instead, we take it further, undoing the damage from daily stresses and accelerating the recovery process by stretching, releasing, and re-aligning your body. Just one Group Training Session with us and you will be hooked! We stand by this statement, so much so that all clients receive their first group training session for free. That’s right — zero dollars and zero cents…

Safe & Effective, the only way to train,

Jennifer Opaka

Creator, Opaka Method

History

Established in 1990.

This business was started to help people in all walks of life achieve their goals in the health and wellness arena. After being a trainer in many of the corporate gyms, Jen Opaka decided it was time to start her own training company. She worked in different gyms training people as an independent trainer and in 2000, she opened her first studio in Ocean Beach. Jen has an extreme focus on form and makes sure it is perfect each time an exercise is performed. She also teaches the perfect form techniques to all her trainers because after so many years in the bigger gyms, she has seen so many trainers not have these techniques that are so important. So Progressive Fitness is just that, Progressive!
