Went in to Yogis tonight with my daughter, Charlotte, for the Little Yogis class. I could not have been more pleased! Katie, our teacher, was phenomenal with our 2 year old daughter, and really got her engaged in the class. I talked with Colleen, the owner, too, who was wonderful and welcoming! I can’t wait to go back for my own class and to bring our daughter back in for future classes. The studio is excellent and I feel like I have finally found«my» yoga studio in OB! Edited to say: for some reason Unilocal is showing my location as Fargo, ND, but I live in Ocean Beach! :)

Had my first class at Yogis Yoga Studio today and I could not have left feeling more relaxed. Teacher Kristin Lucek led a challenging but invigorating power hour class which left me with a good hot sweat! I would totally recommend her and any of her classes. She has a very soothing voice which shows off her 5+ years teaching experience! The Yogis studio itself is great, very comfortable with dimmed lighting and a cute beachy theme. Thanks Yogis for a good sweat! Looking forward to my next class!

I had my first class $ 10 unlimited week pass at the Yogis yoga studio in Ocean Beach and it was great. Sarah is an outstanding instructor and the flow of her class was perfect. I had before Bikram and CorePower yoga classes and her yoga class was the same level and experience

Yogis, a beautiful, zen, beachy-styled, yoga studio just opened right on Newport Avenue in OB, right next to OB’s first urban winery, Gianni Buonomo(opening soon) — in the distinctive building w/the«fin» on the top. What a cool addition to the Main Street of OB! It’s a lot bigger than it looks from the sidewalk. There’s a pretty retail area w/little lounging sofas in front, then a spacious wood-floored, peaceful yoga room w/soft lighting. And finally, some lovely changing rooms beyond that, w/cubbies for your stuff. Then, restrooms in the back shared w/the winery(unfortunately, no showers at this point). They have a nice variety of classes at various times of morning, daytime and evening, including Yoga I, 2 and 3, Yoga Basics, Power Yoga, Yoga Stretch, Prenatal Yoga, and coming soon, «Little Yogis» for kids. Class Schedule available on their website. Stopped by yesterday morning, and arrived just as class was ending, so came back this morning for 8 am Yoga 1 with Colleen. It was an amazing way to start the day. Beautiful music, really good instruction, and she came by a few times to «adjust,» my pose, which I was concerned might strain my muscles, but was actually more like a mini gentle massage, which helped my muscles relax. Really liked the bit of core work and wonderful stretching near the end. Then, as an added bonus, during shavasana(I’m all about the shavasana), Colleen came by with some Eucalyptus oil and a little temple massage. Ahhhh. Only downside for me is the«heated» aspect — it’s not super hot(85 degrees), but after spending the summer trying to escape the heat, I’d prefer«cool» yoga, or at least«room temperature» yoga. But, overall, I left the studio feeling less stressed, happier, and calmer. Definitely worth checking out. Namaste!
