Serving OB since 1993. Caryn White, L.Ac., started in Ocean Beach with Ocean Beach Therapeutic Massage in 1993. After completing a Masters Program at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and Training in Nan Jing China, Caryn was licensed in the State of California to practice Acupuncture in 2001.

I went to Caryn after western practitioners blew off the pain and stiffness I had in my wrists and finger joints after giving birth. I wore carpal tunnel wrist braces constantly for almost four months, without results, before I came to Caryn. After about a month of treatment, I felt a major improvement. Now I only have to wear the braces at night occasionally, on an as-​needed basis. Her treatment was spot-​on. The price was reasonable, too.
Caryn was also incredibly kind and treated me like a friend or a family member. I will definitely recommend her to others and keep her in mind for future maladies.

I’ve been visiting with Caryn for a few months now and could not be more thrilled! She does more than acupuncture but doesn’t press with other service sales! She is patient and listens to concerns, takes her time and never rushes you out of the office. It’s a long drive for me to get to her (from East County) but worth it every time! I would HIGHLY recommend Caryn to others searching for an acupuncturist and healer.

Caryn is a life saver. I look forward to my sessions with her as much as going to the spa. It’s therapy for the body. She makes me feel very comfortable and really listens to find out what I need each visit. From simple stress relief or back pain, to extreme pain relief after my tonsillectomy, or helping me boost my fertility, she knows just how to help and always is so positive about it. I consider her a friend and would recommend her to anyone.

Wow! Caryn is good. After my first treatment for ADHD this back pain that I’ve had for 12yrs was completely gone! Talk about side effects lol. Caryn is really down to earth, fun & makes you feel comfortable. She’s the third acupuncturist I’ve been to & the best so far. Whatever might be ailing you, I’d definitely recommend going to her. :) Oh & she accepts some insurance plans.

I’ve been a believer in acupuncture for years, but now I’m evangelical thanks to Caryn White and OBA! Caryn is extremely thorough — each visit she really seeks to understand what is «ailing» you and helps explain how what she’s doing is designed to help those situations/​conditions. I’ve been in 2 car accidents in the past 4 months (yipes) and also dealing with some other more psychological (motivational, self confidence) conditions and my trips to see Caryn have helped both the acute and more chronic conditions. She’s «real» — very easy to talk/​open up to so that you get the maximum benefit from the treatments. Anyone who’s considering or is already a convert to oriental medicine, I’d encourage you to give OBA & Caryn a try.

Caryn White is a great medical practitioner. She treats her clients with respect. I wasn’t much of a believer in the effects of acupuncture but she has been amazing with both back muscle spasms and now with leg cramps. I have been her client for many years for both massage and acupuncture. I would recommend her to anyone. I have a long background in health care as a nurse practitioner.

I love Caryn White. She’s an amazing acupuncturist. She goes above and beyond the call of duty and always makes the experience a relaxing and pleasant one. She’s super personable and has a great bedside manor. I go to Kaiser, which usually doesn’t have any sort of coverage, but Caryn jumped through Kaiser’s hoops to be included on their provider’s list, so a session with her is only $ 45!!! Amazing!
