Oasis Ice Cream Parlor

Love this place! Has fresh ice cream and bars they make themselves! Refreshing and delicious! I will definitley return!

It’s really tastey. Come here often and for what seems like decades now. Unfortunately the girl (first time o seen here) got two of my orders wrong today and would only fix one. Disappointed but oh well can’t win them all I guess.

They have the best homemade ice cream around! The staff is super friendly. I love their banana splits, because you can use any ice cream you want in it! Yeah thats good! You can even buy pints here… it’s a must try! You wont go back to those others places after you come here! Oh, the only downside, they only take cash. NO CARDS HERE!
So, I had just given this place 5 stars until my man came out and told me the new girl wouldn’t fix the order she messed up, cause in her words «it comes with it.» She messed my banana split up!!! I dont like the fudge on it, and he told her no fudge!!! She put it on there and ruined it! Then made us pay for the crap! She messed my son’s ice cream up too, cause she didnt know what the difference between chocolate mint and double chocolate was… horrible service on Father’s Day!

Oasis is five stars all around! If you want a sweet craving on a hot summer day, this is worth the drive down to the South Bay my friends.
I grew up in the South Bay and was a parishioner at St. Charles Church the next parking lot over, but never made my way to Oasis for some awesome cold treats (I’m still trying to figure out why I never went, lol). My Godsis told me about this place two years (?) ago, but I didn’t bother checking it out since I now live thirty miles away.
Holy cow people, their stuff is great! We just stuffed our faces at K-​Pasta about two miles away prior to going here, but wanted dessert, hence how we found our way here. I only had a small cup of the strawberry sorbet and oh man, it was amazing! I swear my hubby is a bottomless pit, so he got a banana split with three scoops of ice cream with all the fixings served on a plastic boat shaped platter, he was happy.

Needless to say, we’re huge fans of Oasis. I bought a dozen bars in a variety of flavors like, strawberry, pineapple, watermelon, mango, cantaloupe and everything else that sounded yummy to take to my parents house right after since I wanted to share the goodness of Oasis with my parents and relatives that were in town visiting. Yep, they loved it just as much.
Bravo, Oasis. You guys are awesome.

I grew up in Imperial Beach so Oasis is one of those nostalgic spots from my childhood. My Gramps used to take us there all the time so we grew up on it. I always knew it was good but it’s all I really knew as a kid so it was the norm. Being an adult, having been to some really amazing ice cream parlors I can say Oasis takes the cake. Now I realize just how lucky I was to be eating there. It’s a landmark for me. Cold Stone was one of those places that was popular for a while when it was new, trendy and few and far between. Now that Cold Stones are all over, it’s not that big of a deal anymore. I mean I could probably walk into Rite Aid and be satisfied with some simple shit. My favorite neighborhood spot is Mariposas in Normal Heights cuz it’s small, simple and has delicious quality ice cream. It’s my Oasis when I can’t get to Oasis. But when I’m in or near Imperial Beach, Oasis is a must. Anything you order there is going to be amazing. My personal favorite is and always will be walnut ice cream, it’s so legit! Oasis is hands down the best ice cream spot of all time and if you have kids, they’ll remember it forever.

We tried guava, mango and coconut. All were delicious! Coconut had shreds of coconut in it. All the ice creams tasted fresh… and were very sweet. The lady helping us was super sweet and was happy to let us sample flavors. The establishment was very clean as well.

My friend recommended this place. We were in the area eating tacos so we stopped by for some dessert. It’s a pretty non-​descript place located in a big shopping plaza. So plenty of parking. It’s a Mexican ice cream shop so they have some of the more unique flavors. We had a grand old time trying a bunch of flavors. The guy behind the counter was super nice about it. Finally I settled on a double scoop with peanut butter and guava. Yep, you read that right. It’s a weird combination but I like both of those flavors and wanted to have those two. Everyone including the staff did a «what the…» Haha. I really liked the guava flavor. We also picked up some of their popsicles to go. Cash only too. Wish this place was closer to me.

Some of the best ice cream I have had in my entire life. I have been coming here every time I travel out west from Michigan for the past 10-​ish years. I always have to come here at least once during my stay. Their pistachio ice cream is to die for and actually tastes like roasted pistachios unlike most store brands (which just tastes like amoretto). I love their mix of flavors, including rice, coconut, pistachio, walnut, man I could go on forever. The only downfall is that it is cash only but still worthy of five stars!

The Ice cream is so delicious here! However the customer service is dull and it makes you feel sort of uncomfortable, you aren’t greeted and the person that helped me seem so tired and unhappy :(
However the ice cream totally makes up for it! Will definitely go back for more!

Ask their ice creams and sorbets are made in house by scratch and its probably the best tasting iced treats I’ve had here in South Bay/​IB of San Diego

Best ice cream in SD. Always fresh tasting and not too sweet ice cream, crazy low prices (5 scoops for $ 7!), and the employees are ALWAYS nice! Rice pudding flavor is great year round!

First off I want to pay my respect to the owner may he rest in peace I’ll never forget him he’s got the brightest soul and always when you arrive he had the brightest smile, iv been going to this place since I was little always an amazing place and come on Andrew Zimmerman from bizarre foods said its the best ice cream shop hands down

Literally the best ice cream I have ever had. This place is down the street from my boyfriend’s grandparents’ house so we usually grab a dozen bars on our way to visit. The other day I tried the watermelon sorbet and it was to die for. We went to visit his grandparents and then stopped by on our way home again. Two trips and two scoops of watermelon sorbet within 30 minutes. I can’t wait to go back!

My favorite ice cream place in San Diego. Peanut butter bar is my favorite. Creamy and flavorful. Server is always nice and friendly. Lots of fresh fruit flavors.

Been going to this place since I was a kid and the home-​feeling, mom & pop feel and taste hits the spot even during chilly or cold weather. Their homemade ice cream is always fresh and smooth. You know there is no real preservatives in it especially the fruit flavored ones. My favorite of all time is the guava flavor.

Good cream. Four stars because it’s cash only and their spoons are those cheap plastic spoons that make it difficult to eat ice cream. Overall great ice cream though.

This is the best ice cream parlor you can ever visit. Although the area could look a little nicer inside, it makes up for in it’s amazingly tasty ice cream.

I heard good things about this place, so I was excited to finally give it a try. It is located in a small shopping center close to a Dunkin Donuts. I have to say, when I pulled up to the store, I wasn’t impressed with what I saw. Still! I’ve learned not to judge a book by its cover, and I had my heart set on good ice cream.
I’m SO! glad I gave it a try! The ice cream here is delicious! It is freshly made by the owners, and let me tell you, store bought has nothing on fresh ice cream! Just pick your favorite flavor, or get adventurous and try one of their latest editions!:)
The staff here is equally amazing! They were willing to answer questions, give recommendations, and let me try some of their fun flavors! The banana was a group favorite! It reminded us of banana cream pie! Yum!
Lastly, when you come here don’t forget to bring cash. This is a cash only ice cream shop, and you don’t want to be scrambling to find change after you have already arrived.

Picked up my daughter from school and decided to grab some icecream. This is our first time being at oasis. The man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. He gave us samples to try. My daughter ended up getting a scoop of vanilla and i had a scoop of cotija icecream. Cotija is (mexican cheese) it probably sounds weird but it was delicious! We will be back again to try other flavors! Oasis is our new favorite icecream shop in the southbay!

We walked in to a pretty busy, small place. Only one employee working, but he seemed to know everything about their ice cream and got everyone in and out quickly. We ordered a limon bar and a scoop of cookies n cream, both really good. We sat outside and ate. Once we got to the car we decided to go back and get a bar of CHAMOY! (:
Everything tasted authentic and one of the «must try» ice cream places in SD. Going to try the mango and strawberry next time!

This is NOT good ice cream. Do not believe the reviews. Both scoops where frost bitten. Also it’s not smooth creamy ice cream, it’s hard and with small ice pieces all throughout it. The rocky road had one marshmallow and the peanut butter had ice chucks in it.
Terrible. I highly recommend you don’t waste your money.

Been coming here for years! One of the best family ran, homemade fruit bar and ice cream parlors in San Diego! Tried many of their natural and cream flavors and they’ve all been delicious. Whether you order them as scoops (in cups or cones), bars, smoothies, or shakes… you can never go wrong!
Some of our favorite ice creams are Strawberry & Vanilla, Orange & Vanilla (like a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ bar), and Cookies & Cream. Some of our favorite bars are Watermelon and Pineapple. And, we love mixing different natural flavors together to make refreshing smoothies. Although we have been coming here for years, we still have yet to try everything… plenty of options!
Staff is ALWAYS welcoming and they treat you like family. Lines can get long during those warm SD days, but that just shows how great this place is. Definitely worth the wait if there happens to be a line. Make sure you have that cash money with you, as they don’t take cards. And, bring a cooler if you want to take some home! Seen people from near and far stop by to enjoy the delicious treats on the spot and then take tubs/​bars home to enjoy later.

Delicious ice cream with a deep rooted history in the Imperial Beach community. No credit cards accepted so bring your cash. Love this place and will continue to come here for the nostalgia and taste bud overload.

this place is literally my childhood. my mom and sisters used to always to take a trip here when i was a kid around the late 90’s/super early 00’s quite often.
and now, two decades later, i still visit here at minimum, once a month lol. their ice cream is homemade and the business is family ran (i did a paper on this place for my english class back in freshman year of high school LOL).
i love this place so muchhhh, IT’S CRAZY.
all flavors are heavenly. my all time favourite is always gonna be their coffee, but everything else they’ve got is just as great. forever going to be a returning customer.

They have the WALNUT Pops!!! my favorite — i grew up to the walnut and coconut flavors from the ice cream truck.
