San Diego youth orchestra NYO is home to a world class and proprietary youth ensemble training and performance program here in San Diego. Youth symphony training program that has taught thousands of young musicians for the past 40 years. Discerning San Diego county families who want a high quality San Diego youth orchestra music program for their children are very satisfied with the NYO New Youth Orchestra (San Diego) organization and its commitment to providing the very best ensemble training.
Since 2012, NYO has doubled every year to almost 200 members today, estimated to grow to 400 members into our 2015 – 2016 season.

Established in 2012.
NYO New Youth Orchestra — San Diego Youth Orchestra — San Diego was founded by the Ramirez Family. Brothers Miguel, John and Mario find great pleasure sharing their 90 year family music tradition with the San Diego community.

Business Owner
Completed his advanced violin performance training with master teachers Philipp Naegele, David Chan, Oleh Krysa and Mikhail Kopelman. Since then, he has developed a solid reputation in the San Diego and Boston area as a fine conductor, ensemble coach and private teacher. Miguel Ramirez was previously an orchestral conductor and instrument specialist at the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory SDYS for 9 years, other past musical working experiences and accomplishments include, orchestral conductor and string ensembles coach at the Torrey Pines High School for 5 years, orchestral conductor and string ensemble coach at the Carmel Valley Middle School for 5 years and the head coach of piano-string ensembles at the Boston Piano Academy for 4 years. In addition, for the past 10 years, he has provided high quality private instrumental instruction to students who play a wide range of instruments including the violin, cello, viola, bass & piano.
