I came here this past weekend with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. We both received an individual massage and when we got in the car we both said that was the best massage we ever had! My massage therapist [who I unfortunately didn’t catch her name] was very good and made sure she was using the right pressure that was comfortable for me. The environment was very relaxing and comfortable. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because a few days before our massage they called to say they had to reschedule our massage for another day and left us until the day before until we knew if they would be able to get us in or not. I’m glad they did though because we were very happy with all other aspects of their service! Def recommend others go there!

This massage was the best I’ve ever had!!! I’ve been having the worst neck & shoulder pain for months now and I finally feel relieved… will be going back for more sessions.

Found Nola through a Groupon deal. My husband has been wanting a massage for awhile now and I decided to get him one for his birthday. I know he’s very particular with whom he receives massages from because of the problem areas he has on his back and neck.
Took a chance with the many positive reviews I read on Unilocal.
Melissa was on point and hit every problem area with ease. My husband was very impressed by her and how she took her time releasing any knots she found. Thanks for everything, Melissa! You definitely made my husband’s day!

I was here 2 times with my husband for a couples massage, both times i got a great deal, 2^nd time Carlos allowed me to use my Unilocal deal plus discount i ended up paying around 48 for the couples massage which is a great deal, everyone was nice and friendly, but the massage itself for me was not the best first time i was with julissa and she was very very good, my husband had sunny and she was not strong enough for him, he didn’t like the massage although she was a nice girl i wouldn’t put her to give massage to a tall 230lb man, our 2^nd time i had melisa? I think not sure her name, she was not strong enough for me very soft and just didn’t like it overall, my husband had lin and he loved it, he was stronger so he was very happy, i think is a hit or miss i am not sure i would go back i usually drink lots of water and use restroom a lot so for me having the restroom outside the place (hallway in a office building) is very very inconvenient i would probably try other places, but if u get a good deal make sure to go they are all really nice, the 4 stars are for the deals and for julissa n lin, thank you

Lin did not disappoint. He is comfortable to be around, calm and relaxing. He definitely knows what he’s doing and has a talent. There’s an element of surprise during his massage too as his technique differs from other ones I’ve experienced. Lin’s hands are definitely strong, but he’s open to being asked to use lighter pressure. I’m hooked.

We were here today for our first couples massage, we completely loved Nola. Very professional employees, the office was also very cute!

This place is very good the only thing is the scheduleing, it’s hard to get in the place is small but it’s very enjoyable I will return.

Loved my massage!!! Wonderful space, it’s warm and very inviting. Everything was clean and very in order. Lovely Atmosphere, my massage room was nice as well, clean and peaceful. It was very easy to start to relax and enjoy my massage.
*I had no problems using my Groupon I bought, and afterward was even offered to buy up to two more massage at that price. Which I did buy another one. (For $ 39/​1hr)
Their online appointment setter was very user friendly and when I did need to talk to someone on the phone Before my appointment they were very helpful and friendly as well.

This establishment is amazing. I found them on groupon and I was hooked after 2 – 3 times with Melissa. She has transformed my back pain into being next to non existent. The professionalism and level of high quality is really what keeps me coming back. I bought a package of 10 massages and plan to continue to do so because of how satisfied I am.
Carlos the owner will go out of his way to work with your schedule. This place is a hidden gem.

This review is for Lin and his massage work. I get massages often and the quality of Lin’s work is next level. It’s obvious that this guy knows what he’s doing. Do yourself a favor and book your next appointment with him.

Opted to book online because they don’t answer either phone– apparently it’s a call back system. Made an appointment online, but no one was there when I arrived. Called and left a message which was returned that day and rebooked for another time. The massage was okay, but closer to Swedish than Deep Tissue– I had asked for Deep Tissue. It wouldn’t have been worth the money if I hadn’t had a Groupon. Personally, I feel there are plenty of places in San Diego for the same cost or less who are easier to book and are more skilled in their trade…

Found Nola after purchasing their groupon deal, best decision ever!!! I had a membership to a massage chain for over five years and was disappointed with the inexperience of most of the massage therapists. I’ve happily gone back to Nola after redeeming my groupon deal and will continue to go there!!! Very pleased.

I was really stoked when I first found this place. I had a GREAT massage, the location was convenient, and the people were friendly, so I bought a 3 pack. Big mistake! Since then, I have had the worst time scheduling with them. It takes days for them to call me back and they are closed random days and times. My second massage was also quite a dud. Even when I asked for more pressure, it felt like the girl was barely pushing. I’ve had one massage left for at least a month but I can’t quite seem to be available on a day/​time they’re open! What a bummer, they started out so promising…

I’m visiting San Diego from out of town and decided I need a massage. I messaged Nola yesterday via Unilocal and got a quick reply from Carlos, the co-​owner— and husband of Veronica who is mentioned in so many reviews here.
After a few emails and some slight confusion about who might be available, I grabbed the only remaining time slot of the day and had a fabulous massage with Arlene, who is apparently one of the newer staff members. That’s got to be the reason she isn’t mentioned as much (so far) as some of the others.
I like deep massage and Arlene made me a very happy camper. She’s got strong fingers but she also has finesse. Moreover, she’s versatile and would be able to adapt the pressure to suit any preference. I asked for about ²⁄₃ of the time to be spent on my neck, back and shoulders, and she organized the time perfectly.
Some reviews address chattiness. We chatted a little toward the end but it was clear that Arlene is very sensitive to cues from the client. Other than asking me about problem areas and pressure, she only talked when I spoke up.
I can highly recommend Nola based on my single experience. I will definitely come back when I’m in San Diego!

I bought a groupon for a couples massage at Nola SD Touch because it was a great deal! Couple massages are typically about $ 150+, but I ended up paying 40% less. Anyway. the couples massage we received was a good experience. My boyfriend’s masseuse was great, she paid attention to detail on the form we filled out and recommended a deep tissue massage, instead of the groupon’s Swedish massage (w/​no extra charge!), for him because he’s a cyclist. He said that he was happy with his massage. My Masseuse did a great job in getting me relaxed. Overall it was a great couples massage.

Like many others who have reviewed, I also ended up at Nola SD Touch because of a Groupon and have been here three times in total so far, each time with Veronica.
I’m kind of on the fence with this one.
Veronica apparently does work with the Chargers so she understands sports massage and deep tissue and isn’t afraid to use the firm pressure that I need (well, except for the most recent massage yesterday which was a bit lighter for some reason). That’s the pro, but the con is that she tends to talk a lot and I just want to zone out and not necessarily have a conversation during my massage. I feel kind of bad pointing that out because she’s very nice, but…
You can book your appointment online (pro), but there often aren’t openings for many weeks or months (con). You do get an email the day before that serves as a reminder/​confirmation, so that’s pretty nice (pro).
