Perfect quality and great customer service. They were extra careful and gentle on the cuticles. They asked how you want your eyebrows shaped before waxing away. Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been coming here for over a year! Today I went in for an acrylic fill with gel polish and brought in a design that I found on Pinterest. Lily mastered the design! I love my nails and I love coming here to get them done!

I go there for pedi gel. Their service is really good because technicians always get to know clients and let them feel like home.

Once again, they have proven to have excellent service, care, and design. Love my holiday nails for Christmas/​New Years!

Came across this nail shop based on Unilocal reviews & was surprisingly amazed. Other nail ladies never leave me as satisfied as this place. Service was great, shape was great, everything. Little more pricy but definitely worth it! Lauren took the time to assure that I was satisfied throughout the whole process. Love my nails! Will definitely continue to come back.

First walked in the girl greet me with a big smile and ask how she can help me. I told her I would like to get the Unilocal special mani-​pedi for $ 35, you know just the basic. Then she told me to wait for 10 – 15 mins and I said its ok since I am not in a hurry. Then less than 5 mins she took me to my chair and make sure I am comfortable. Shortly, girl name Vicky came and took care of me and did my pedicure. For extra $ 10 she did callus and massage which is not bad. She did take her time and make sure that I like the color that I picked :)

I’m so happy I found this place after living in the Claremont area for a little over a year and trying almost every place, I have finally found a winner! The gel polish lasts forever and it is always a quality manicure. Lily did an amazing design on my nails and I love them! I would definitely recommend nails and spa by Lauren to anyone!

I have been coming here for a year consistently now and love it! Lauren has always been very nice and the nail color selection is broad!
Recently I started having Lily do my nails and she is just wonderful! When I couldn’t decide which color or design I should choose, she always offers the best advice as to what would look better. She is always honest and pays attention to details like the side and the tip of your nails!

This place is my favorite nail salon EVER. I won’t go anywhere else. I always get my nails done by Lily. She’s gentle, sweet, attentive, and always has the best suggestions. I always leave the salon with nails beyond my expectations. I get comments all the time at work and when I’m out and about. The salon itself is extremely comfortable and relaxing (feels like an actual spa), all the girls are very welcoming and kind, and it is extremely clean. Best nail salon in San Diego by far.

LOVE this place! I’ve coming to this nail salon regularly ever since I found it. Everyone is always so nice and the actual spa itself is always so clean. Each time I’ve gotten my acrylics put on and/​or got them filled by one of the girls here I am never disappointed! They always give me the perfect shape and length. I highly recommend going there next time you want perfect nails by all the nice girls there.

I’m here to tell you that there is a better way. It’s called nail contouring (just like make-​up contouring except it’s for your nails). Ivy at N&SBL is an expert at it.
She makes nails thick at the base, thin on the edges and is able to make nails look slimmer and delicate.
No more fat, weird, wide fingers nails. You and I both know that we’ll never have delicate little hands (oh how I envy those women) but at least we can fake it by shaping our nails the right way.

Great job of not getting really close to the nail like other places can. The process didn’t hurt one bit. On the flip-​side, they didn’t completely take off my glitter nail polish, but I’d rather have that than painful nails. Very professional and nice staff. They have a sitting area in the middle, which was great since I had a friend with me.

Great time. the girls did their job. and got the tip. the only problem I had was with the girl who gave me a pedicure. .gosh I wish I knew her name… anyway. she had this little attitude. not bad. .not good. it was as if she was annoyed by something… I dont know if it was me or something else. but whatever it was I felt it the whole time. I just feel thag a customer shouldn’t feel your business that doesn’t doesn’t include them

I’ve been coming here consistently and I absolutely love all of these girls! Every time I ask for something different and they do it perfectly. I am really picky when it comes to my nails, so whatever adjustments I ask for they understand right away and make my ideas a reality!
I especially appreciate how much care and attention Lauren and her girls give to their clients and the business. They’re all so pleasant and easy to talk to, and epitomize what it means to work hard to stand out from the rest of the average nail salons for an affordable price! Please give them a try! They will always find a time no matter how busy (I have never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen)!

It’s located in a little plaza so there’s parking but parking can be a bit packed especially when there’s restaurants around this place.
I made an appt for shellac/​gel mani and pedi for both my sister and I on Thursday for a Friday afternoon appointment (impromptu visit to Cabo!). We arrived Friday for our appt and were seated right away. They were BUSY! Despite being busy, they were very attentive and my sister and I were able to get seats next to each other. We had 4 different girls working on us (one for the feet and one for the hands). It was nice that way because it made our appointment that much shorter! Although the appointment was shorter, it was not to say quality was not there!
They have a lot of color options for gel which is awesome! They also have polishes with glitter, etc so you can layer them if you want.
For gel manicure and pedicure, the total was $ 64 (but don’t forget to tip!). It’s been almost 2 weeks with 1 week pretty much soaking in the pool/​ocean 24/​7, and my nails still look awesome! No chipping at all!
I think the one thing that might be bad about this place is that it’s located next to Little Sheep and it’s so hard to pass up hotpot right next door! :p

I made my appointment a few hours before coming in for a gel manicure. I ended up getting out of my class early and Lauren took me in 30 minutes before my reservation! She was very kind on the phone and in person.
The gel manicure was $ 27 and at that rate I would expect an amazing paint job. Later on that day when I was out in the sun I noticed a lot of issues with my nails. The color I picked may have been hard to work with but the result was very uneven. The nail technician also painted some of the gel polish onto my skin on the side of my nails. If it was regular nail polish I wouldn’t mind but when the gel gets onto your skin it usually causes the paint to rise off the nail.
I was really excited to get a manicure here because of all of the great reviews and the nice service I received, but I’m also super bummed that I’ll be sporting these nails for the event I’m attending this weekend):

By far the best quality/​service in San Diego. This is my first review, and being in customer service, I had to give recognition where it is due for such excellent service.
I’ve been in this city for 6 years, bouncing from Chula Vista to La Jolla for an over the top experience at a decent price. NAILS BY LAUREN IS IT this place satisfied my craving for an all around experience that was personal to my liking. Her whole crew is amazing. This is officially my 3^rd time visiting her and her crew, and as always, they are sweet, attentive, make you extremely comfortable, and the talent is unbeatable for the price. She blew me out of the water with her 3 different specialists (including herself) working on my full set, toes, and nail design. I wish I had their names! Thank you, Lauren and friends! I’ll never go to another spa again.

I’ve been on a search for a new nail salon in San Diego for a while and thanks to Unilocal I stopped into Nails and Spa by Lauren.
I was greeted by Lauren. She was very friendly and listened to what I wanted done. The last nail salon I went to filed my nails unevenly and Lauren was able to fix the shape.
I normally prefer to have an extravagant designs done on my nails with Swarovski Crystals but opted for a simple nail design because they didn’t carry the type of stones I wanted. Yen ended up painting my nails and doing the design. She is one of the design experts at the salon. We collaborated with what she was able to do, Overall, I am satisfied with how my nails look.
Things that could have been better:
1. I wish the polished was painted closer to my cuticle.
2. The pricing for the design was a bit high for the simplicity.
I don’t mind paying premium prices for elaborate nail designs but felt that design prices were a bit high here. If I was in the neighborhood, I would stop by again.
If your’e in the area, I would recommend giving this location a try.
