Our experience with Music As You Like It has always been professional and FUN! Top notch! Keith is the BEST in the business! 41 years definitely shows with how much he cares & why he has been around for so long. We will continue using Music As You Like It & Highly recommend Keith and his team YOU wont be disappointed!

We hired Music as You Like it to provide a DJ for our party. Keith was very nice to work with on the phone, and said they would basically come with something like 40 000 songs, everything we could want.
Our DJ was Nick, and he was not available to meet us in person, but I sent him a spreadsheet of the songs I wanted. There were 4 songs that I had to have, and one was for the last song of the night.
I talked to him before the party, and he said they had almost all the music on my list.
At the party, he started the evening by playing his own music, despite that fact that I had given him a list of basically all the songs I wanted. I waited for a bit, but he still wasn’t playing my list so I asked him to switch over and he did.
By the end of the evening as we got to the dance music, it became clear that he didn’t have many of the songs we asked for. I wish he had just told me that before rather than at the event. They had very limited songs that are current now.
I had also asked him to play whatever my son and daughter asked for, which he didn’t, and I kept having to intervene.
The biggest disappointment was that I had asked for a very specific song for the «last song» of the evening. I wrote it in my spreadsheet, and also told him over the phone. With about 15 minutes left of the party I confirmed what the last couple songs would be, and that we was going to play our last song.
He never played it, and we had to leave. What??? It was my only specific request for the whole night.
That sucked. It was a nostalgic thing that my old friends from out of town had been waiting for and it never happened.
I wouldn’t recommend Music As You Like It if you have specific ideas about what you want them to play, or if you care about current music. If you don’t care what songs they play, and you are good with them just playing their own stuff, then it could be fine.
UPDATE: I would NEVER have Nick at an event, perhaps other talent they have is OK. If this is your wedding or other special party — you are going to be very sorry if you have Nick as your DJ. He was a complete jerk about events after the party, and lied about what happened.

We use Music As You Like It Productions for many of our client’s events. They have continually provided exceptional services and extremely talented performers. The variety of performers is phenomenal. This is helpful since many of the events we plan incorporate a theme to create a more memorable experience for the guests. I worked with keith and music as you like it for a wedding and also a networking event. The DJ and the «She-​J» were excellent both times and all my calls and emails were returned quickly. Keith and the staff at the office are always in a great mood and full of positive vibes.

We had Music As You Like It for our wedding reception and they really made it a special occasion for us. Keith, the owner, sent us Nick, who asked us our favorite songs and did a super job of keeping the guests on the dance floor. He played our songs and was a pretty funny master of ceremonies and our guests had a good time. We both had a great time!

I have used Music As You Like It owned by Keith Danon, for many, many, many events that I have planned as the Director of Special Events at Buster’s Beach House in beautiful Seaport Village. Keith has always provided me with any and all entertainment requests that I have had requested from my clients, for the past 6 ½ years, whether it was a common request or an outrageous request! He has sent me DJs, Bands of all sizes and styles, Magicians, Tarot Card Readers, Cartoonists, Belly Dancers, Hawaiian Dancers, Santa Claus, YOU NAME IT! He is professional, prompt, reasonably priced, and helps me to do my job finding my clients their entertainment, very easy. Keep up the good work, Keith! Looking forward to the next special event!

We used Music as you like it for our wedding. Our DJ (I Can’t even remember his name) didn’t bring our grand entrance song, he messed up our first dance 3 times, and played music straight from the 50’s. Our wedding coordintor pretty much sat beside him the entire time and told him what songs to play because he was AWFUL!

We used Music As You Like It (Keith Dannon) for our wedding and were not impressed. Not only did he look completely bored the entire evening, he ignored most of our advance music requests, and did not turn up the volume loud enough for the music to be heard during the cocktail hour despite being asked. Also, their music library was not very extensive. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the dance floor never emptied and I think most of the guests did not notice the things that frustrated us.
