Midway Shell

I’ve been going to this gas station for a while now, I used to love going there because it is so convenient for me, I shop at Ralph’s so I always use my rewards card. And it’s also close to the gym, so I always stop by late at night to pump gas. Lately every time I go there and have the guy that works graveyard shift scan my rewards card he says that they updated to new computers and that my card won’t go through. I let it go the first three times but now it’s really annoying and I would love for someone to teach him how to use the computers so I can actually get use out of my fuel points! It’s been a month and he still has the same excuse!

Number one Shell Gas Station on Midway. My me and my husband have been going there over four years. Amazing customer service. Eddie and Ermias always a great help. Great gas price, always fresh coffee. Mostly anything you need. Nice and clean too.

The machines at the pump are the worst. It froze on me twice so naturally I was angry and went inside. The attend was rude when I told him the machines were crappy he told me it was my fault or my bad card (mind you it worked just fine inside) and that they work fine. Horrible customer service. There was a man in front of my pump who was having issues with his pump/​machine as well. It only pumped half of his gas that he paid for he said. The attendant didnt seem to care. This is at 11:15am on july 4, 2014 if management cares at all about their employees attitude or possibly updating the pumps. I didnt pay attention to his name.

Never had any problems here. Usually just grabbing coffee or a snack while I’m waiting for my prescriptions at Kaiser. Convenient location for me. Gas prices are a bit higher here than other nearby gas stations.

If you want to get your credit card information skimmed, then buy your gas here. This happened to me tonight after I used my cc to buy gas. An hour and ½ later, my cc was being used in Covina CA. Luckily, my cc company caught it and denied the $ 798 charge at a grocery store. I called the Shell Station tonight to tell them their card readers have been breached and shockingly the phone rang off the hook but nobody answered. I’ll pay more for security. I definitely will not go here again.

They take care of me for the most part!

Much less expensive then the other stations near here. Nice and clean inside too. They sell lotto. Customer service surprisingly amazing. High 5

Wait until you see the new paint job on this place! Good Lord what an EYE SORE! They painted the whole building bright glossy YELLOW AND RED. Seriously looks like it is straight out of Tijuana… You cannot pump gas in there without sunglasses on. They have just made that neighborhood go down two notches with the stroke of a brush.

Gas pump #9 was not pumping so guy working tells me to turn pump upside down. when it stopped pumping it sprayed gas on me and all over my car. Fix your pumps please. He never apologized after I informed him what had happened.

Yes, gasoline is a necessity, but cheap gas should not equate to LOUSY customer service! I’ve been going to this gas station for about 5 yrs since I started working down this area. Up until yesterday, the customer service I have been receiving is OK, not the greatest, but just OK. Lately, before I head up to any gas station, I always make calls to find out that day’s gas prices, and all gas stations are happy to let me know of the recent gas prices for that day.
Well, not this one. Yesterday, I called to find out the gas price, and the man on the phone put me on hold, for 5 MINUTES. Seriously how long does it take to peep your head out the flippin’ window to find out what you’re charging for gas??? So I hung up (while on hold), and called back. This second time, a man on the phone rudely told me, «We don’t give gas prices over the phone», and just hung up on me!!! Who the hell hangs up on their customers?
Midway Shell, you just lost a 5-​year-​loyal customer — shame on you! I’ve notified your bad customer service to your Corporate headquarter, let this be a lesson!

I am a first time Unilocaler, so bare w/​me. I just wanted everyone to know that Shell on Midway, has a practice of putting a hold on your bank acct. In my case I used the Ralph’s card to get the 10 cents off, the machine did not reflect, so I went to another machine. The next machine said to see cashier, I went to him he informed me I DID NOT!!! have any money. When I went in the station I had over $ 110.00, so they cleaned out my bank acct. PUT A TWO HOUR HOLD ON MY MONEY. When I spoke to the person I finally reached at SHELL she told my I was LUCKY because sometimes it is for 72 HRS. JUST BEWARE!!!

This Shell Station and the 76 two blocks away usually have cheap gas compared with other stations in a 5 mile radius from my place in OB. It is clean and easy to get in and out of even when there are lots of cars. But there usually is not a lot of traffic here when I go. There is no car wash and I have never got air here but it seems like the kind of place that would have a working air machine.

eh. It’s a gas station. As far as in Point Loma they have pretty good prices. The people that work in there are ok. I always have to look for someone to even be behind in counter so I try to not have to go in. It’s in a good spot and mostly pretty competitive in price.

I deserve a discount for being a consistant shell customer

The gas here is always up to a a quarter more per gallon than the Mobil and Exxon just down the street! I never ever get gas here, but I stop in sometimes to grab a beverage or pack of smokes before hopping on the freeway.
Do yourself a favor and drive one more block down India and get gas for a REASONABLE price.

If you’re smart, you won’t fill up your tank at this station. If you do, get ready to be hounded by two men in matching golf shirts who run up to the cars while customers are filling their tanks. They’ll do an entire sell-​job on you, trying to convince you to buy their «car wash in a can» product. Whether you’re interested or not, they won’t leave you alone until you leave the station. I won’t go back to this station. If you do, good luck. They’re brutal.

This is my gas station! There’s one closer to my house and two more on the way to this one, but I go the three miles out of the way to put gas here.
The gas is always the freshest, and I heard they grow their own oil, so it’s all organic. I’m very environmentally conscious, so I wouldn’t dare buy gas that would hurt our ozone layer.
O.k, now for the real reason: the gas is cheaper here!!!
It’s always at least 10 cents cheaper, and yesterday it was 20cents!!!
The place is sometimes packed, but not a long wait.
