I went to this location to have an older suit (4 years) altered to fit (my weight has changed and I wasn’t sure how the jacket looked anymore.
Almost every employee had to make a comment on how dated and old my jacket was. It really made me feel horrible about myself, considering I couldn’t afford to buy a new suit, hence the request for alterations.
I’m not angry anymore (I was at the store), but to the staff at Men’s Warehouse — please be courteous to your customers, understand that they might not have enough money to buy a brand new suit or jacket, and treat them with respect.
I bought this suit from you because you were nice people who said they would help me when and if I needed it regarding my suit. My last experience with you may very well just be that.
Anyway, if your employees or management or even corporate are reading this, just my two cents.

On my first visit, I was pointed to a set of suspenders. Trying them out at home, I found out that these were for kids. When I came in for a return, I was given a more expensive set (that fit me) free of charge. Nice!

This place is a joke. The front end sales process is fine but the backend service is horrific. Alterations took several weeks. When they finally called I went in but the jacket had not been tailored. Second time the jacket did not fit so had to go up a size. Third time in they can’t find the jacket and I waited for nearly 30 minutes. Then they could not figure out how to scan it out even though I had already paid for it. So if you are in the market for a suit I suggest you go somewhere else. Unfortunately I also bought a custom suit on the «buy one get one free» program but when I asked about delivery they of course had no idea when it would come in.

While my salesperson was mediocre, I found that once my credit card was swiped the customer service level was drastically different. It’s clear that once a sale is made, the employees want nothing to do with you. Upon picking up my suit, the employee that helped me had mentioned wanting to get out of work on time (I arrived 30 – 45 min before closing), was rushing me out, and seemed annoyed that I wanted to try it on before I left (which took about 5 minutes). It’s unfortunate that this kind of behavior is accepted from a store like Mens Wearhouse. I definitely will not be returning, nor will I be referring them to any friends or colleagues… (or fellow Unilocalers). Judging by the attitude of this particular employee, they probably wouldn’t care much, and would be relieved to deal with one less person.

Having rented suits for various Weddings, I had the option to buy instead of rent one for my Son’s Wedding. For you guys that clean up somewhat in a suit as I, I can’t say enough of the professional attention given by John Macduffle and his staff. The store is kind of like (for your older guys) stepping back and going to the Barbers Shop where no girls are allowed. For those that don’t understand that, never mind you too young and in todays politically correct language you never will. It just means It’s a good place to shop for a man. So, take advantage of the staff, the sales and service.

Rude salespeople with no knowledge of product line especially the high end stuff. They have some crazy sham going on BOGO. The woman who helped us was so rude, SICK and didn’t involve ME (the BRIDE) in any of it. My fiancé left the store feeing sick. Wtf. We purchased the suits with tailoring for over $ 800 no shirt, no tie nada because they tried selling us a $ 90 white shirt– walked across to Ross and it was $ 10. Plus the ugly white shirt she put him in did not fit and looked like a balloon. Honestly this place is so ghetto I will never shop here again! Oh and the ridiculously rude young lady at the cashier was horrible! No personality. Have some compassion, were only spending a crap-​ton of money right now on something that means everything to us– our wedding! FAKE a personality I don’t care.

We came here to rent the tuxes for our wedding. We were referred here from David’s Bridal.

Our groomsmen were from all over, Hawaii, Florida and out of the country. The great thing about Men’s Wearhouse is that there are so many locations from all over the U.S. All our groomsmen had to do was go to their local Men’s Wearhouse and get fitted. Their tuxes were then delivered to this San Diego store and picked up 2 days before the wedding. So simple!

Cons:
1. Our initial consultation took forever and a day. We were there for 2 hours. Picking out the suits and the styles only took about 30 minutes. The lady helping us to input all the information of the groom, 3 groomsmen, and 2 fathers of the bridal party into the computer system was so slow, my fiancé nicknamed her «the turtle.»
2. The turtle lady got our orders wrong and we had to go back a 2^nd time to set things right. We decided not to go with the Vera Wang collection due to the high price tag, but the groomsmen and groom got handsome Calvin Klein suits. This was kind of a pain since we were dealing with 7 suits.
3. Limited selection of accessory colors. Our wedding colors were peach and gray. Originally, I wanted the groomsmen to have peach colored accessories (ties, vests, pocket squares) but they didn’t have the light peach color. The closest color was salmon, which is too bold for what I prefer. Originally, I also wanted the groomsmen to wear grey tuxes while the groom wears black, but renting grey is only available for a higher price. So we scrapped that idea and just put the groomsmen in black suits with silver accessories. We went with a more neutral color, put the groom in black accessories and the groomsmen in silver. Turned out looking nice.
4. The modern looking fitted type suits/​tuxes (Vera Wang collection, Calvin Klein, etc.) are considerably more than the regular tuxes you can rent for less than $ 100. That’s to be expected but just don’t come in here thinking you’re going to get a fitted suit for less than $ 100.
Overall, it was not a bad experience. Just make sure you come in knowing exactly what type of suit /​tux you’re looking for and don’t get sucked into paying more for fancier styles. A clean looking classic suit /​tux can never do you wrong.

Expensive and not good quality. I bought suit for $ 500 that I could have gotten at Joseph A Bank for $ 250. I won’t be back.

Came in to possibly use Men’s Warehouse for 6 tuxes for my wedding in March. Was first ignored for about 20 minutes. My fiancé, best man and I waited at the front of the store while salespeople walked past us and greeted people who just came in the doors. Finally a nice gentlemen asked what we needed help with and then led us to the back of the store to meet with the Tux specialist, who wasn’t at the desk. He asked us to wait and said that Micah would be out momentarily. Well we waited another 25 minutes and still not one sales person to assist us and Micah never arrived so we walked out. I absolutely will NEVER go back to that location and would recommend anyone else not go there as well if you want any sort of customer service.

So my fiancé booked his rental suit at the men warehouse in Oakland. They weren’t as helpful as the one here in Mira Mesa. As a crazy OCD bride that I am. I went in to this store to follow up with the grooms suit and groomsmen suit. Chloe was very helpful and went over everything that he got and plan on renting. I had to change the tie color because the groom picked the wrong color. Good thing I came in… Otherwise I be a very upset bride.
Chloe was very helpful in making all the changes, didn’t give me an attitude or anything. She was so nice and informative about everything he got.
I took off a star because our suit had to be returned on Monday with no exception. At least give the wedding party 3 days not 2 to return the damn suit.

I would have definitely preferred to support a mom and pop shop for the tuxedos for our wedding, but since all of Cam’s groomsmen are in Salt Lake City, we had no choice, but to book through Men’s Wearhouse for the convenience of everyone. While everyone looked great, the overall experience was just okay.
Initially, we were going to get Cam the free suit that comes with 5 paid rentals, but after an hour of try on suits and getting the order in, the person we were working with told us that the suit we had decided on wasn’t included with that offer. Although we decided to just buy the suit and come back to select the groomsmen suits once the suit came in, we ended up returning the suit since the only rentals available were tuxedos, which looked way fancier than the suit. This was a really convoluted process and really frustrating, but the staff was patient with us despite changing our minds.
The paperwork I received from the rental section indicated that all the groomsmen needed to be fitted 30 days after setting the group up. Since I tend to plan things early, this was about 4 months before the wedding, so I had all the groomsmen get fitted. Of course this meant that the suits didn’t fit properly once they arrived, which just added to more stress before the wedding.
We went to go pick up the tuxes the Thursday night before the wedding, which was probably a bad idea because that’s when everyone goes to pick up their tuxes for Saturday events. I suggest going Thursday morning/​afternoon if you can get your groom out of work so that there’s less hassle. That being said, there were about 3 groups for 1 person to help with. I’m not sure why they’re staffed like that, but it took such a long time for just Cam and Ryan to get fitted, that I left the rest of the groomsmen to deal with their fittings. That being said, the lady helping everything was really good at her job and did a great job refitting Ryan.
Since Ryan had gotten fitted so far in advance, his entire tux didn’t fit and there wasn’t anything in store to help mitigate this, so they had to rush an order for Saturday morning pick up. Luckily Cam took care of this Saturday morning, but the lady helping us mentioned that the groomsmen could have gotten fitted the week before. It was really frustrating to have this information because I would have rather had the groomsmen wait to ensure the measurements were correct the first time.
The best part about Men’s Wearhouse is the convenience. The groomsmen were all fitted in Salt Lake City, we were able to pick up the tuxes close to my parent’s house, and we dropped off the tuxes at a location near our wedding venue. If convenience is the concern, which it was in my situation, then Men’s Wearhouse is a good solution.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that Men’s Wearhouse does not do a good job with ivory. Since Cam wanted to use a tie pin for his tie, we asked to buy a tie that would be the same color as the ivory pocket square, which did not match. That was another headache two days before the wedding. My mom ended up going to the La Jolla Men’s Wearhouse and swapping for white, because for some reason, ivory is not in the Men’s Wearhouse vocabulary. The pocket square was a yellow ivory, while the tie we had purchased ahead of time was a brown ivory, which the salesperson said matched because both labels said ivory. The silver ties for our groomsmen looked good though.

It’s our first time to go here and the salesman drop us off because we can’t afford the suite he’s selling us. I ask him if there’s a sale suite for one time use only. He just walk away and did not bother to help us. I don’t mind paying for your $ 700 suite if your customer service is good.

We used this location for our wedding, and I was really unimpressed.
The first time we went to pick out the tuxes for my husband and his groomsmen, it was like pulling teeth trying to get information on the styles available and example pieces they could try on. The measurements took forever because the lady helping us decided that she would write them down on a piece of paper, but then had to enter them into the computer before we could leave. And then another very helpful employee came over and checked a few measurements (because the groomsmen seemed dubious some things were correct), and she had gotten several of them wrong. Then we also learned they don’t carry pocket squares the same color as the ties we wanted, which was a bit frustrating. Ultimately, we did get something we liked, so we moved on.
Fast forward to right before our wedding. The tux’s for different guys were coming in at different time, and we had some fit issues with multiple groomsmen my father-​in-​law. Note that we didn’t have any fit issues with the guys that had been measured in different locations. We also found out the day before that because we didn’t get pocket squares for the groomsmen (we made them ourselves), somehow they left out the pocket squares for the grooms and dad’s, which were basic black. So we had to go buy those (which ordinarily isn’t a big deal, but there was a lot of things going on in those few days).
I also find it odd that the price for renting a tux for a 7 year old ring bearer is the same as for an adult man.
Overall the tuxes looked good, so I’m glad about that, but I definitely would not go back to this location, and the experience would probably make me re-​think Men’s Warehouse in general.

Horrible service… 2 ladies were rude, and you know they were talking crap right when you walk in the door!!!
If you have kids don’t bring them there they are not kid friendly!!!
Also watch out for hidden taxes and other charges on your bill!!!
Quality of the suit are not that good. They are more worried about style over comfort. They do not try to help with sizes. Lazy!!! All they say it looks good/that’s the way it’s suppose to be/don’t worry you be fine! Umm no I’m wearing a tux all night I want to be comfy!
Just saying … I would go somewhere else but everybody has their own opinion.

Went to this location 2 days ago to pick up a pair of pants I left for alterations. For starters I never got a call telling me my pants were ready (the pants were there for more then a month). David one of the gentlemen working there was horrible. He needs to be replaced asap. You work in an environment where customer service should be your number one priority. Clearly to him, it is not. I let him know I need my pants and no one called me about them and it had been a month, he says we don’t call you its on your receipt… LIE. I got a call literally when the same problem happened before at the same store. The way David came off was very rude and uncalled for. He called another gentlemen over named Will who was helpful. He got me my pants and sent me right on my way. Because of David I no longer will be doing business with Men’s Fashion Warehouse.

The experience was terrible. Every Groomsmen called they were not able to get the discount. Suits were not ready as promised. Staff was rude and had to call managers frequently. Keep in mind we had 10 guys requesting suits and spending money. Grooms suit did not fit when he went to pick up. He was sized twice!!! Overall terrible experience.

This was a great experience overall. I had been looking for a suit for interview and they had a good selection of suits here. The place is small enough to be able to shop quickly and still have enough selection to find what you are looking for. We had lunch at Panera bread (review coming soon !!) and decide to walk around when we stumbled upon this store next door.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating and did not hesitate to offer different options (I’m picky !!)
We got a great deal on a suit with a free dress shirt to go with it and they have a good selection of neckwear and shoes as well.
I had bought a tuxedo from Men’s wearhouse before and that experience made me want to come back here. I don’t regret it at all.
Great store, friendly staff, huge selection — all pluses.
The only downside is the parking on the weekends — this is a busy mall and people are always in a rush… Watch both way before you come in or out of your parking spot. People are not always careful driving around here.

Summary: Unorganized!!! Rude!!! Read below for details.
Two stars are given for the few guys who were nice and helpful and for the tailoring of the suit. Zero stars for the experience. Negative stars for the headaches that ensued from the experience.
My boyfriend and I went in and this guy was helping someone else but saw no one was helping us so he pointed us in the right direction and gave some suggestions. He was great. This other guy took over and it felt like he was rushing us and didn’t really want to help us. Give us back the other guy!
Ended up buying two suits and a pair of shoes. One didn’t have the pants in the right size so it had to be ordered. We’ll call this suit A. The shoes also had to be ordered. The other suit, suit B, was measured to be tailored. We were given a day and time to pick it up. Here’s where it goes downhill.
My boyfriend went to pick up his shoes and asked if his suit was there so he could try it on and have it measured. They looked and said it wasn’t. He left and not 10 minutes later, they gave him a call saying that his suit was in… I’m sure it wasn’t JUST delivered! Did you not look when we asked you the first time?
Ok… So then it was time to pick up suit B. We called in advance just to make sure it would be ready. The lady was SUPER rude. She said they were super swamped and it would take her 30 minutes to check to see if it would be ready and that if it said on the slip a date and time, then it will be ready by then. Alright! Sheesh!
So trip 2 to the store and lo and behold! They can’t find the suit! They go back and check and come to realize they didn’t even TOUCH it yet! If you are going to be rude and adamant that it’ll be done by the time and date on the paper, then follow through please. Otherwise, that attitude can be checked at the door.
Trip 3 to the store: My boyfriend goes and picks up suit B which is now done and is ready to get suit A measured because it has arrived at the store. Remember, they only ordered the pants because the jacket was already in store. But wait! They sold the jacket to someone else, even though we had already bought it! So, that person may be giving this store 5 stars because of how quick they were to give him the jacket. Little does he know, they sold him something that was already sold!
Trip 4 to the store has not occurred yet, but it will be to try on all of suit A once the jacket arrives, get it measured, and then wait for trip 5 to pick it up.

It’s nice to feel important and Chris does that. He worked with me until we found the right suits and was with me throughout the whole process. I saved about $ 700 on my suits vice shopping at Nordstrom’s and I think I got even better service here than I would of there.

Ok so I dropped $ 2k here yesterday and although I didn’t love that aspect of it, I ended up getting like a whole new wardrobe for my husband which was awesome and it’s what we needed. But more so than the price (for as much stuff as we got, that wasn’t a bad deal!), the customer service was worth every dime.
Jeff and James helped us to pick out several suits that fit him well (and had them tailored). Then they helped us pick out shirts, ties, shoes, tie clips, a belt etc that match. They really have a good eye for what type of outfits go together but they arent pushy. I wish I could get that kind of customer service in a women’s store!
I even had a long conversation with James about how annoying it is that when I wear business shirts and I move my arms the shirts always come up in the back. He brought me an example of a sticky lining that can be sewn into my pants (again im a woman and this was a mens store). He just wanted to go the extra mile to help.
