Established in 2010.

Melissa Biador has always had a passion for the arts and was creative ever since she was a child.

Melissa picked up her first Canon DSLR in 2008, taking pictures of her children and random scenes and still subjects. It wasn’t until 2009 she took a deep interest in photography and wanted to learn more. Her passion and drive is what got her to where she is today.

Melissa uses natural light in a majority of her photographs and considers it to be very whimsical and romantic. She specializes in portraits and weddings.

Business Owner

Melissa Biador has been in business since 2010 but has been a photographic hobbyist for years. She has always had a background in visual arts (specifically graphic design) and began a career in professional makeup artistry in 2007.

She had left her makeup artistry business and focused on her photography career. Melissa has taken courses through with the New York Institute of Photography but has been learning on her own. Within 2 years, her business has been booming and Melissa prides in her hard work. She strives in practicing excellent client care.

She also donates her time with Operation: Love ReUnited, a non-​profit organization which groups photographers to provide no-​obligation photographic services to our armed forces who are scheduled to deploy.

Melissa is a fine art wedding and portrait photographer and her images are fresh, romantic, and timeless. She focuses on portrait and wedding photography and is based out of San Diego and is available for travel.

I’ve learned to always check out a photographer’s portfolio to make sure their work is good. If you check out Melissa’s work, you’ll see that her work speaks VOLUMES! She’s extremely talented, and has an artistic eye for her photo shoots. Most photographers out there are just average, meaning your uncle Tom could’ve captured those same images with a nice camera.
You’ll see that Melissa’s work is above par, and her work shows it. Her rates are also competitive, which I like.
We recently hired Melissa to do our family pics, and they turned out great! We had a great variety of different poses and backdrops. I’ll definitely be using Melissa again in the near future. Thanks Melissa!

Melissa is the best! I met her when she photographed my best friend’s wedding and knew I’d hire her for my San Diego wedding. She’s very laid backed and easy to work with which I appreciate. She is always professional and timely in her communication as well. I love the extra special touches she puts on things like her welcome mail and flash drive with all your photos at the end. She takes great pictures and makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera for hours. I highly recommend Melissa!

I hired Melissa to do my assistants head shots. They came out great! She is extremely friendly, an absolute pleasure to work with and from start to finish delivers above and beyond service. I absolutely loved Melissa! She has an amazing eye, and I absolutely LOVE the pictures from my wedding day! My husband and I are both very camera shy, and hate getting our picture taken. Melissa made us both feel so comfortable, and the pictures look very natural and not at all posed. She has a fun and bubbly personality that made all our family and friends love her as well! Her pictures are crisp and timeless, and she captured the best moments of the day!

I have worked with Melissa on former projects/​photoshoots and just recently for personal photography. I recently hired her for product photography. I am working on updating my website with professional photos and love her clean and crisp style.
Melissa not only took photos of my product but also styled everything. She has a great eye for setting up the scene! I had brought a bunch of random props that she was able to use to make pictures of my product look even more spectacular! No instruction was needed, Melissa knew exactly what style I wanted to achieve and captured that!
Her turnaround time is awesome! I had all 600+ «edited» pictures in my dropbox in a week! I have never had such amazing service before! This is something she practices with all of her clients and all her projects. I worked on styled shoots with her for blog submission in the past, and all photos were completed seriously within a week or two! I believe a lot of photographers take at least 3 months.
Melissa is not only talented, but super sweet! She is very caring and concerned about the satisfaction of all of her clients! She definitely goes out of her way to make them feel special!
When it comes to quality, Melissa is the girl!

love melissa. so much so that we have hired her 4 times now. first for our engagement party, then engagement photos, then the big shebang of the wedding, and most recently to photograph our 1 year anniversary photos (yes, we are vein.)
She always does a great job at capturing intimate moments as well as taking beautiful magazine quality shots. Shes easy to work with, responsible, reasonably priced, and just fun. adore her. can’t wait til we dream up our next excuse to hire her again. Huge bang for your buck. I am at a loss for words on how to describe how AMAZING Melissa & her team are!
My wedding was beautiful BUT it was in 120 degree heat in the middle of Palm Springs! Melissa not only kept us all (8 bridesmaids & 5 groomsmen plus the bride and groom) lively and motivated to get some amazing photos! She and her husband kept us on schedule (which my wedding planner bailed the day of and without Melissa’s schedule we would have been a mess!)
Not only did Melissa keep in contact throughout the months leading up to the wedding but she was so calm and understanding that any bride would feel a sense of relief when talking to Melissa!
I wish I was better at writing my true feelings down because I really LOVE Melissa and her work & I hope that comes across in this review!
PS I haven’t even seen all the wedding photos (My wedding was last week) and I know without a doubt my review for Melissa will not be any different when I see her amazing photos of our special day!

I live in Los Angeles and hired her knowing she is out of our area, after randomly discovering her work via a wedding blog. My wedding is coming up in September and my fiancé and I got to meet her in person for our engagement shoot in Santa Monica recently. This was finally after exchanging countless emails, phone calls and a skype meeting, and let me just say, she made the experience so much better than we anticipated. The shoot was fun, comfortable and Melissa really listens to her clients. She welcomes every little comments, questions and concerns and delivers top notch quality service. And most importantly, she has an amazing talent and love for photography and her pricing is very reasonable. People say wedding planning can be very stressful and full of conflicts but vendors like Melissa Biador Photography proves them wrong. I’m glad I hired her as my wedding photographer!
