This place is amazing!!! The girl working the front desk is soooo sweet and nice. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I was in and out in about 30 mins. The doctor was on the computer thru skype but was very nice and gave really advice about my condition. I love this place and I’ll be back for sure.

Extremely nice and compassionate people, they do not look at weed as a drug but rather the medicine it can be for some of us. Was in and out within 45 minutes with a laminated card and it only cost $ 65 (though you can pay $ 49 and not have the card as well). The doctor is on a skype call and really does what he can through the medium, even with an out of state ID I was taken care of because I made sure to bring along my proof of residency. 100% recommend this place.

The staff is wonderful and very sympathetic. You don’t get the feeling that they are judging you nor do they treat you like you are an addict. The doctor wasn’t the most personable doctor I’ve ever dealt with but he was very professional and fast. I was a walk-​in and they saw me right away. (I had called before coming to find out what kind of medical records they needed so I had the information they needed when I walked in the door). I was in and out with my medical letter and card in under an hour.

Been here before so I called in and asked if anything changed before I made the trip, they said no worries just come in. So I drove over in the hellish traffic just to hear that I needed more documentation.
What a waste of my time.

Staff was amazing and much more helpful than the doc-​Presas.
He was very short and got easily frustrated. I was quite surprised that he came across just like my primary and almost all the people I’ve had to deal with in the state funded medical insurance biz.
Got the card and have permission to grow up to 12 plants… no idea how to grow 1 so that, and the staff, bring this to a 3. That’s pretty good coming from me.

I really want to think the entire staff as awkward as my first visit was to me, they really made me feel welcome and comfortable for me. As I read there web site prior to going I had my Primary Doctor write a assessment letter of what I’m being treated for and history I did not mind the teleconference with the doctor as this is an accepted practice in modern medicine. It was a nice experience and as a walk in. The process was very short. Thanks to the two ladies that were there. Very nice and friendly. And a special thanks to the Asian girl that helped me.

The best place to go. I am new to this and I felt very welcome and the workers there are all professional. I was in and out for about 30min. They ask me for my ID and medical records. I didn’t have my medical records but they still gave me the card and told me i have 3 months to fax the record. It’s also reasonable. I will definitely go back for my renuewal.

I waited for TWO HOURS. I had made the first appointment of the day! The woman who seemed to be in charge really did everything she could to get the doc on the line but the women behind the desk argued with me when I tried to make the simple suggestion that if they had known they were short staffed by half (!) they should have called patients who had appointments so that we can have the opportunity to reschedule on what they knew was one of their busiest days.

I visited United Heath and Wellness over 4 months or so ago and the recommendation of the owners from Raw Medical Marijuana Collective in San Diego. I made a call and told them I was referred to United H&W by The RAW Collective and they organized to get me in straight away that day!
The clinic was easy to find with my google maps and everyone from the front desk girls to the owners Debbie and Larry are super friendly, welcoming and educated on medical marijuana. I was able to see the doctor in less than an hour and received my recommendation before I left the office. You even get a proper photo ID card (like DL issue copy for your identification) not one of those laminate paper ones from other places.
I 100% recommend them to anyone that is a new patient or just needs to renew their recommendation. Next time my Rec needs renewal I know where I will be going!!!

I have been going here for 3 years now and the experience just gets better and better. The staff is friendly and courteous as well as very knowledgeable. The price is well within reason and now they provide an actual medical card (not a flimsy paper one either). The doctor may be via Skype but he’s knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone there, especially Debbie, is just plain great. As long as they are around they will always be my go to.

In and out within an hour considering was a walk in. Its located in the building up the stairs to the right. Staff was friendly. Dr was on skype but thats fine with me i dont mind just depends on your comfortability. And there was a really nice german sheperd there who was very friendly. But if your not ok with dogs the owner will gladly remove the dog from the setting. Experience was smooth im a veteran with service related injuries. Brought a few of my copied papers from my medical record. Not all of them just the ones that pertained to my situation. Was on skype for a few minutes with the dr talking he already had my information which was uploaded to him but he was willing to help me out and see what would be best for me because i was a first time user. Got my recommendation and was out the door by their friendly staff. Before i left they gave me a few referrals to a few places. If your a veteran like me and your in my situation looking for alternatives then i would recommend this place.

Their doctor is a total fraud! One of the rudest people I have ever dealt w/​in a professional setting. Yes, you meet him via skype, and if you choose a busy time, as I apparently did, he has many «patients» from other medical practices also waiting on skype because he works with 8 practices. After leaving me waiting quite awhile, I came on, asked me a question about paperwork, didn’t let me explain my response and disconnected the call while I was still trying to talk. It’s the equivalent of hanging up on someone mid-​sentance. But this is a Dr., one that I had made an appt to consult with, one that gave me literally less than 30 seconds of his time. He never asked me a single medically related question or showed any familiarity with my case (via the paperwork I just completed, that was supposed to be forwarded). I plan to report him. This was such a waste of both of our time and energy, it’s disgusting!

Ive been a medical marijuana patient for 5 years now. I’ve gotten mine from green way alternative in the SF bay area with no issue. I came here because i have heard good things about it. Now i have no problems with the staff that is was there. they were very friendly and just all around great. But the doctor is a whole nother story. First of all he isn’t at the doctors office. He prescribes over Skype. what kind of bull is that. makes me think hes got some shady stuff going on if he cant even go to his office. I bring my paperwork describing my eye disorder from U.C. Berkeley and Social Security office, and he has the nerve to accuse me of just finding this disorder on google. Then right after says he will only give me a one month recommendation because my blood pressure is «too high». If anything i should of gotten my recommendation for just that, one of the main symptoms you can check off for reasons on any application for medical marijuana is high blood pressure.
This doctor is doing nothing more then trying to scam money out of patients. wanting me to come back in a month to see if i can get another recommendation was a waste. there are many better places to receive a recommendation. This doctor is a disgrace to everything people are doing to try and fight for our right to have legit medical marijuana doctors and dispensaries available to everyone who needs it in San Diego county.
I lucked out and ended up taking a road trip back up north and had a chance to renew my prescription with no issues. So i dont have any alternative place to go but if you believe in the medical value in marijuana and arent trying to just get high. Please dont bother going here.

This is a great clinic if you are looking to get a recommendation. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They really go the extra mile to make sure your experience is a positive one. Probably one of the best experiences of customer service I have had in a while in this sort of environment. The woman and her son that work there treat their patients like family, and are very thorough in going over the processes of obtaining a medical recommendation.
I wasn’t sure what the appointment would be like initially, particularly in regards to how professional it was going to be. The office is quiet, peaceful, and didn’t give off any creepy vibes. I was a walk-​in patient, and I went in around 11:30 a. m on a Thursday. I would definitely recommend going in earlier rather than later in the day if you are not planning on scheduling an appointment.
The entire process took about 45 – 60 minutes. The cost of the recommendation was $ 45 plus $ 15 for an I. D card, which is an awesome deal compared to getting a card in nor– cal (Santa Rosa-​north bay), which would cost around $ 80. I will definitely be going back in a year when my recommendation expires and needs to be renewed.
*The only reason it gets four out of five is because you meet with the doctor on skype rather than in person… ‘Nuff said.

I was a little hesitant about going to get evaluated but after some research here on Unilocal,I decided to go see whats up with AGA. They are RAD! The bees knees! The cats meow, if you will.
Getting there is really easy. They have a beautifully decorated office. I walked in and was greeted by the wonderful Debbie and her canine companion who was just as chill. Debbie was super kind and welcoming. She offered me some water. The paper work was easy and fast. The process took about an hour but the time flew by. They have magazines and what not to help pass the time. The energy of the place is amazing.
Cheap upfront prices. Knowledgeable staff. Friendly and warm. Nothing negative to say! Give this place a shot, I promise you wont regret it!
I never write reviews but I decided to write one for AGA because they are just that amazing.

I was reffered to Green Alternative when it was time to renew my card last year. They gave me a courtesy call a week before it expired, which was much appreciated, so I went back for another renewal. Both times have been walk-​ins and both times had very little waiting. Excellent friendly staff that make you feel comfortable. Would recommend for anyone in need.

I originally took my friend to 420 evaluations and ended up leaving because they failed to let her know what she needed to bring, good thing cause this place have me the creeps and the receptionist was kind of sour.
Then I came across AGA! The office was clean and professional, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They were busy but still ran things fast and efficient. Fill out the questionnaire online before you go and try to have your medical records.
