This place is a neighborhood gem. So good. So cheap. So delicious. The fish ceviche is too good. Carne asada tacos are bomb as well as the shrimp tacos.

OMG I am a seafood lover and this place it is my new favorite place in San Diego. I woke up this morning a bit hungover from last night’s happy hour so i decided to find a new place to eat some seafood and start the day with the right foot, so my sister took me to this food truck by her place and I ordered the«chingon taco» which is a taco with shrimp & steak, one«famous krazy tostada» that has a mix of seafood and they also give you an oyster on the side. I had a shrimp/oyster clamato which it was really tasty. Plus, they give you a free seafood soup while you wait for your food. Price are really affordable. If you are hungry, you like seafood & you’re in the surroundings, you should definitely stop here and get a yummilicious meal. I think they have a new ownership because if I recall right, their name now was«kikos seafood» I think their main branch is in Ensenada, Mexico.

Super bomb food truck! It would just be more convenient if they had the hours & or phone number that we could best reach them at!

the clamato was awful! i saw how they prepare it, and it was 80% ice, 15% lime with tajin and about 5% of clamato… soooooooo disappointing! the worst thing is that is $ 5… i mean 5 dollars for some ice with lime. and to watch them prepare this was just sad. you should really consider making things right and not be angry because its new year(yes. we could hear your babbling) second thing is that. i ratter eat a large taco with proper amount of everything. than a really huge taco with 50% ONION! COMEON!

A final farewell fat-kid feast. Passed on the $ 1.25 fried fish, for the grilled fish and grilled shrimp. Almost more food than I could eat, get a lot for your money. Free veggie soup, broth was full of flavor, could have downed a bowl of it. Shrimp was decent, didn’t seem to have any seasoning on it, grilled fish was tasty, cooked perfect. All in all, not bad, far from the best in SD, but for $ 6 I left very satisfied.

— Locale Destination — It’s on Grape St and Fern St in San Diego. The food truck is parked at the parking for«Gala»(grocery market). They put several seating in front of the truck. The truck is kinda old. Cash only! — Gluttony Expedition — Free soup: It was kind of like a «warm» ceviche soup. Not bad! Fish taco: $ 1.50. It was huge — they don’t skimp the portion! I could have only one. You can choose either«grilled» or «deep fried». It was good. It comes with a free soup. The condiments were at the truck — pickled onions and various tasty sauces. — Conqueror’s Deduction — Good fish tacos close from downtown San Diego. I wanna try«deep fried» fish taco and shrimp taco next time! My search for the best fish taco in San Diego continues…

This place(or rather food truck) is phenomenal!!! The best fish tacos in San Diego, fried to a crispy goodness, stuffed with a lot of fish for $ 1.50 and they are huge!!! I also tried the crazy tostada which is a must try($ 9). It comes with two oysters and two mussels. The rest is a pile of seafood goodness. It’s like reverse ceviche where ceviche is mainly diced veggies and a few pieces of shrimp or seafood, but the tostada has mainly chopped seafood and occasionally a few pieces of onions or tomatoes here and there. =P I tried the beef and shrimp burrito too, which was also amazing! It has a lot of mozz cheese in it which I love! The shrimp ceviche was just OK, it had quite a bit of shrimp but I personally preferred the crazy tostada! If they have Sangria soda it is a MUST try! It was delicious!!! =)

Try the fish tacos and aguachiles. They are delicious! There’s not much to say since it’s a taco cart but I definitely recommend you stop by if you’re in the area.

Went here on taco Tuesday and it was bomb! This was my first time going to a food truck for taco Tuesday so I can’t compare it to other Mexican food trucks, but these tacos were so much better than the ones I get at restaurants on Taco Tuesday for about the same prices. I ordered a shrimp and fish taco and oooohh my was it good. I liked both of them!(check out my pictures for more details!)They come out quick after you order(only one other person before me) and it comes out hot and fresh! Definitely makes it so much better than going to restaurants on taco Tuesday! There’s a good selection of hot sauces and they also provide onions and lemons. Free soup included! When I got hungry that night I wanted the tacos all over again! My boyfriend got two fish tacos and a spicy marlin burrito. It was good but I prefer tacos over burritos. Not the best looking food truck compared to the other food trucks in the lot, but its the food that counts. Not the look of the food truck. Like I said, I haven’t tried other Mexican food trucks but this opened my eyes to finding more! I would definitely go back! I want to try the shrimp ceviche and oysters! Parking is free in a lot(there was a paying meter but no one paid) and provide chairs(no tables).

I thought I had ordered their steak and shrimp burrito but as I took a few bites it turned out they got the order wrong. It was their orgasm with each bite making my knees weak burrito. Possibly the best thing I’ve ever had to come out of a truck and possibly the best burrito I’ve had out here which is saying quite a lot. Their naming convention is pretty terrible so try to get some clarification before ordering.

Went on 5÷25÷13 AWESOMEAWESOMEAWESOME. My lady had the shrimp cocktail which was so refreshing on a hot day, nice combination of spicy cocktail juice/sauce ice cold. Then she went back for the Tostada Loca WOW! A plate with scallops, shrimp, ceviche, two muscles, two clams and one bit tostada shell on top. THEBESTTHING I HAVEEVERHAD. I had the spicy shrimp burrito that knocked my socks off. Not a big fan of cheese & shrimp combo, but this was a very nice surprise. It’s very messy to eat as the burrito sits and the juices start to make a mush out of the tortilla. Might want to grab a fork and knife to eat it but overall it was delicious and I’d definitely get it again.

Good fresh food at a great price! I tried the shrimp ceviche and a garlic fish taco, spent $ 5.50 and was full! The shrimp is so tender and fresh, and the portion is perfect so you can eat something else off the menu. The shrimp ceviche is served on a tostada shell and all I have to say is YUM! Classic ceviche, and one of many styles that they offer. The garlic fish taco was really good, too. The fish was cooked perfect and the garlic was just right, so you can still taste the fish. Served in the classic fish taco style and you’ll need a fork to finish what falls off. Again, they serve many styles of tacos so you just gotta go and see for yourself. Another nice thing that they do is serve you a free cup of soup, small but nice while you wait. Good seafood soup to start the experience off. What’s really cool/different is the location. The truck is parked in a small parking lot so you can pull up, open the back hatch, and do a mini ‘tailgate’ with your friends! That was the scene today and it was a nice change of pace. Really cool to see others enjoying good food on a Sunday afternoon. The staff working the truck are really nice, too, and the service reflects that. Already looking forward to the next round!

Soooo disappointed after all the amazing reviews. They are famous for their cheap seafood tacos, but as always, you get what you pay for, and it wasn’t all that cheap after all. Pros: free cuppa soup, very polite courteous staff, generous portions. Cons: No place to sit, under-seasoned, sopping wet squishy tacos. One of the best things we ordered were the clamato cocktel– basically a virgin bloody mary. Very very tasty, sour, tangy and spicy but dang expensive! I think they charged $ 12!!! Also the free soup was very flavorful, salty broth and full of chunky stewed vegetables. As for the food, we ordered way too much of what turned out to be basically the same things. Shrimp tacos, spicy and mild, mixed seafood tacos, fish tacos and they all basically tasted the same– bland bland bland. The salsas were ok, not exceptionally flavorful and not especially hot. The pickled carrots were gone by the time we got our food and the limes disappeared almost immediately after, so I can’t comment on those condiments. All our tacos came out quickly, but they were all drenched in shrimp juice? The corn tortillas were all sopping wet and crumbled so easily that the tacos were very hard to eat by hand. The amount of seafood in each taco was large, but I would have preferred to have less with better quality. There wasn’t anything more than a little bit of cabbage, shredded melted cheese and cream along with the seafood. Beware, the truck doesn’t sell drinks, so you have to go to the liquor store they park at to buy drinks. The guy in the liquor store admitted he pays the truck to park there so he can get more customers. I just don’t understand the raves and hype.

First time having real fish tacos in SD and I was not disappointed. I was bummed that they were out of clam cocktails but the mussels one was good. Fish ceviche was good too! I’ve heard that the fish they use changes for the tacos so hopefully I will return when they have a better selection. They also gave us a small cup of seafood soup while we were waiting! They don’t skimp on the seafood inside the soup! Worth trying and I’ll be back!

These are the the best fish tacos in town, forget about Rubio’s or any other corporate establishment this food truck dishes out some of the best Mexican seafood dishes around. Highly recommend you try their fish tacos and I probably wouldn’t get any other type of meal for example the carne asada tacos or adobada tacos, since they do not specialize in that type of food. This is an authenthentic«Mariscos» spot to get your Mexican fish taco fix.
