Make It Shine Mobile Detailing

Let me start by saying that I do not like writing negative reviews. I only write them when I feel my experience was bad enough to be shared with others and warn them against giving their hard earned money to horrible businesses.
This guy has been making me CRAZY… I purchased a Sign On San Diego deal in March 2011 and have been getting emails from him since then.
**Let me be clear by saying that I have never even received an auto detail from Charles Pulley or Make It Shine Mobile Detailing.**
I purchased a deal on March 11, 2011. I received an email a few days later (copied below) saying that they were a one man show & it would take time to get to everyone. By the time I finally followed up in July 2011, Charles Pulley stated that he was GOING OUT OF BUSINESS and the company would be contacting me. How many people do you think he cheated out of that money who didn’t follow up on getting their refunds??? Probably hundreds. I was able to get my money refunded by Sign On Daily Deals in July 2011 because I followed up on it myself.
Since then, this business has been SOLICITING ME FOR 2 YEARS after reneging on their deal! My email address has been given to other mobile detailing companies. I have done all of the things in each email to UNSUBSCRIBE but it never goes through. My guess is that they send these emails when business is slow and hope that people will forget what happened in the past. I keep trying to unsubscribe & remove myself from the list. He has responded that he did remove me and he will do it immediately, then a few months later I’m getting another email.

I know that you have been calling to get on the schedule to get your car detailed, and I am trying to get back to everyone as fast as I can.
There were 820 vouchers purchased and over 550 people bought the deal. The is not a hoax, you purchased a good deal but it has overwhelmed me.
I am a one man operation and when setting up this deal I was told they would keep me busy, i have run other deals in the past and have sold 300 and it
was mangable. Right now I am getting 40 to 50 calls a day and I do my work during the day. it has been difficult to return that amount of calls in one day.
Please bear with me as I am returning calls as I get them but it takes an hour just to download 50 voice mails in one day and a couple hours to just return half
of the calls.

My dad is pretty hard to shop for, so this Christmas I tried something a little different and bought him a $ 150 gift certificate to Make It Shine Auto Detail. I initially thought it was a tad pricey, however let me tell you-​it was worth every penny. The car looked virtually brand new after Charles was done! My dad was thrilled. He called me to gush about how great his car looked, and when I saw his car I agreed-​it was exceptional. Charles did such a great job my dad wants to get my mom’s car detailed next. I have to stress the fact that his car details are on a totally different level of «clean» than any other detail I’ve ever purchased. He turns auto detailing into an art, and you can tell that he loves what he does for a living. I see the other Unilocalers bought an online deal and I’m in shock that you can get that kind of auto detail for $ 75! If I ever see a deal like that I am jumping on it and buying every one in my family for next Christmas. Aside from the amazing quality of this service, Charles is such a sweetheart. He is nice, professional, and generally a great guy. I trust him completely and highly recommend him to others. It’s a good feeling employing the business of people like Charles. He is a hard-​working, friendly and knowledgeable guy who takes pride in his craft and delivers quality craftsmanship for an honest price. Five stars-​and thank you Charles!

Nice service overall, but the owner was really way too busy to do a great job on our car. Still, I give him 4 stars because he has a nice personality and works hard. Had he not sold too many vouchers, he would have done a much better job.

Charles Pulley sucked in all kinds of SignOnSanDiego Money, then never did the work. You get a message that «we are not open for business.» Well, there are words for that, like corrupt, dishonest, sleezy, shabby, and worse. Nobody should trust this person in any business deal, let alone having him wash your car. Don’t believe a word this guy says about anything.

I purchased 2 «Dai​ly​Deal​.com» vouchers for Make It Shine Mobile Detailing.
The car detail guy is overwhelmed with cars to clean (I think he sold like 800 vouchers). He performed an unsatisfactory «detail» job on my father’s car. His vacuum interior clean job is what you get at gas/​car wash stations with your wash for $ 13.00. The outside was job was decent but for just an outside wax, better deals can be found.
He «detailed» a 4 door car in less than 1 hour (50 min.) and rushed over to his next appointment.
Luckily,
has great customer service, listened to my complaint and offered me a refund for the unused voucher.
My suggestion, pass on Make It Shine or any other car detail promotion for group site where the business owner sold too many vouchers.

I first became acquainted with Charles Pulley and his company, Make It Shine Mobile Detailing, in November 2010 through the daily deal website
. I received an e-​mail advertising the company’s Silver Detail package for $ 75 (normally a $ 150 value) which included interior and exterior wash, wax and polish services. The deal couldn’t have presented itself at a more opportune time. I was preparing to sell my 2006 Toyota Corolla which was screaming to be restored to «like brand new» condition.
I contacted Mr. Pulley to schedule an appointment who responded to my inquiry the same day. Mr. Pulley is sincere, professional and his passion for his work was reflected in the end result of my immaculately detailed car.
I highly recommend Make It Shine for the ultimate automotive detailing experience!

My car is soooo clean!!! It’s awesome! Charles came out to my house and detailed my 10 year old VW Bug.
I pretty much live in my Bug and it had never been detailed before. So there were lots of nooks and crannies that needed to be cleaned. When Charles left my rims were so clean, you could ‘eat’ off of them. One week later they’re still clean!!! WOO HOO! (My brake dust covered rims were the bain of my existence!) He even cleaned the tracks that make my drivers seat adjust. I was having problems adjusting my drivers seat, but no more. I never thought about cleaning the tracks. Even with the rain we’ve had my car looks clean and well taken care of.

I found Charles through Groupon which was offering a great deal for mobile detail. And as a testament to how good his service is, I’ve had him come back twice at the regular rate. He spent 1 ½ hours on each vehicle and they gleamed as if new, we have 2 very large dogs who make a mess of the vehicle — and he removed every hair, spot of grime and drool — I was so impressed. Definitely worth the money and convenience.
