Bil and one of his team catered a ten person dinner party for my birthday in October and I was thrilled with the entire experience. Food was amazing and the service was absolutely seamless through all four courses. Bil made the entire process from booking the event to clean up very easy. Definitely recommend Major Events for any event big or small!

This review is late but it MUST be written. Major Events not only catered my wedding in July… they provided me with everything I needed to make it my dream wedding.
I’m not a great party planner and didn’t want the stress of doing everything myself but I still wanted my wedding to be perfect, so I enlisted Major Events (Bil) and got their all-​inclusive wedding package– help with the location, rentals, an amazing coordinator (Monique), a great bartender (KBS) and awesome DJ (Nick) (both musts for a fun and memorable wedding), a fabulous florist (Elizabeth), and incredible photographers (Pol and Katie). It was unbelievable how each person genuinely listened to what I wanted and made it happen! My mother-​in-​law commented that I was the calmest, happiest bride she’d ever seen– because everything had already been taken care of by Major Events and Catering.
During the reception the entire staff was super friendly, professional, and did their jobs well. The food (from chef James) was outstanding and I got SO many compliments :) even from my pickier in-​laws and foodie friends.
I couldn’t have been happier and wouldn’t have changed a single thing. I HIGHLY recommend Major Events to any bride-​to-​be who wants a beautiful, smooth-​running, low-​stress wedding!

All I can say is WOW… Bil was nothing short of perfection from my first email correspondence to shaking hands at the end of a fabulous party. He responding to my every question and request immediately and with enthusiasm, but that was just the beginning…
The food was outstanding and beautifully presented… the appetizer platters of cheeses, fruit and baguettes so artfully arranged and delicious! The tri tip and shrimp both perfectly prepared and served hot complimented with creamy puréed potatoes and carrots, all outstanding. Bil and his assistant James expertly cooked everything on site to taste absolutely fresh (he made it clear he hates the very idea of a microwave!). My guests kept commenting, «where did you find him, he is so great!», totally agree, he IS!
I appreciated that Bil showed up on time and made sure the timing was spot on with beverage service, appetizers, wine pour, salad, main course, champagne pour, birthday cake plus coffee before neatly packing up a ton of leftovers for us to enjoy the next day!
Definitely call Major Events & Catering if you are looking for PROFESSIONAL service and a DELICIOUS dining experience, you won’t be disappointed.

Hired Bil and the crew for our office Christmas party this year. I was able to have a birthday tasting menu gratis! (Thanks Bil!) James and Erica came to my house and cooked a delicious 4 course meal for my family. They showed up on time and were super friendly. My family loved all the food they prepared and I have some hard core foodies in my family so it’s hard to impress them. James made sure the temperature of the steaks were perfect to everyone’s liking. I’ve never had such a tender and juicy piece of chicken breast like the one James made. SUPER YUMMY! I’m looking forward to all the deliciousness they have in stored for our office party in December.

I cannot say enough about about Bill and his team of professionals!!! Major Events catered my daughters wedding in La Jolla a month ago and I am still getting compliments on the fabulous menu, the beautifully arranged appetizer table, the wonderful carving station with Bill’s famous tri tip and the professional service from start to finish!!! Not only was the food and service impeccable, but Bill is so easy to work with and has true vision when it comes to his craft! We were a bit challenged in regards to space at our venue and Bill knew exactly how and where to set everything up as to utilize our space most efficiently. Monique the wedding coordinator was fabulous!!! She and Bill work closely together to ensure the day goes as planned! Monique was a literal Godsend! She was on top on everything from the table décor to the ceremony site and then back at the reception to make sure everything transitioned smoothly! I have had several people tell me that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to and I truly feel that we owe a lot of the credit to Bill @ Major Events and Catering as well as his amazing coordinator Monique!

Bill Major of Major Events & Catering is amazing. He provided wait people and bartenders for a charity poker tournament we ran on Saturday, and did an incredible job. Volunteers are the backbone of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad, and the gift of his time (and his crew) was very meaningful. Preliminary estimates show that this year’s event will shatter previous fundraising records, which is in large part due to Major Events & Catering’s help.
I can’t wait to work with Bil again — and hopefully pay him this time! He’s professional, courteous, smart, creative, a problem solver … the list goes on and on! I highly recommend Bil and his team — they are the BEST.

These people are absolutely amazing to work with!!! They catered my wedding in La Jolla a couple weeks ago and did an outstanding job! They helped in making our wedding the best day ever!!! My husband and I hired Bil and his crew to cater our wedding. They really went above and beyond to make sure that our day was amazing. From the moment we hired him, to the end of our reception, Bill exceeded our expectations. He was responsive, and never left us wondering if we were «still on,» like some other vendors do. He was constantly checking with me to make sure that our «day of» timeline /​format was to my liking.
During the wedding, he went above and beyond to make sure I was doing okay. I got ready AT the venue, so I was having a «pre-​wedding» stress moment in his presence (lucky guy, haha). He literally offered to go to the bar and get me a shot, and was able to make me laugh, and calm me down! That was awesome! After the wedding, he asked my permission to serve dinner 30 minutes early. I said it was okay. When we got back from doing our photos, we wanted to do our «grand entrance,» but the food wasn’t ready yet. Since we had to wait (literally only 5 minutes), he brought us out plates of appetizers so that we wouldn’t be STARVING while we waited! During dinner, he went out to the bar, and served us drinks. He totally didn’t have to do that, but he wanted to make sure we were able to get something to eat and drink before getting «bombarded» by our guests.
He was a lot like an event planner, as well as a caterer. He coordinated with our photographer and DJ to make sure that everything went smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Major Events and Catering! They are absolutely reliable, and won’t let you down!

Bill and Major Events catered our wedding reception on Labor Day weekend. Bill is amazing and was so helpful in planning and preparing for the event. We had originally interviewed Bill and one other catering company that was owned by a former business client’s son. We ended up initially selecting the other company based only on my connections, but that company ended up cancelling on us 4 weeks before the reception due to a internal business dispute! Thankfully Bill was still available and helped us to pull off an amazing event. We had so many compliments on the food and the service. I would highly recommend Bill and Major Events for any event and will certainly make them my first choice for any future events of ours!!! From the service and the appetizers to the buffet dinner, everything was perfect.

Bill from Major Events catered my wedding in early August. The food was amazing and my guests are still raving about how delicious everything was, especially the barbeque meatballs and Tri tip. Bill and his helpers provided amazing service, including the bartender provided by Bill and they also helped with clean up at the end. I could not have for a better caterer and crew on my special day.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Bill to cater our company open house. The process was very easy, he put together a menu that looked fantastic from the get go, we signed the agreement, and he showed up! Everyone thought the food was fantastic, and it seems we had the perfect amount for our guests. Even the staff were both friendly and casual enough to match our atmosphere, but also very professional and courteous to our guests. We are very happy and look forward to contacting Major Events and Catering again for our future events!

Bill with Major Events & Catering provided the food for an event with over 200 people. I don’t typically have the highest of expectations when being served this style of food. When I say style I mean catered buffet style food for a large number of people. Not because I don’t think it’ll be good, but because I understand that there are challenges trying to feed a large group of people. I mean, the quantity of food, the variety, keeping it warm, the quality of the food, the creativity of the dishes, etc…
Well, Major Events did a fabulous job! They had a good selection of food and it was all prepared well. There was a nice variety of starches, vegetables, and proteins. i recall they even had a carving station at the end of the table. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I made sure to flow them a few beers at the end of the night while they were breaking down their stations.
I definitely hope we keep using Major Events for all of our catering needs.

Bill was fantastic! Major Events catered our school’s auction and everything was great. Food was excellent– staff was so helpful– and Bill was great to work with!

Bill and his crew did an amazing job catering my daughter’s wedding. The food was fantastic! The service was exceptional. They were efficient and they worked really hard. They handled everything from designing the layout, providing and setting up tables, chairs, buffet… and cleanup. It was a great experience working with Bill from start to finish. He was very accommodating in working with us on our tight budget and made the the whole presentation very elegant… and delicious!

We are so happy to have Bill catering our wedding party early november. «Bill is fantastic» I would give him 10 stars if I could. He is another «Key spirit» beside me and my wife in the party. Food was SO… SO … good that all our guests wanted to ask for more over and over again.
Bill timed and estimated proportion perfectly. We had more than enough of food with a lot of joy. Bill also constantly checked to make sure all guests are satisfied with food and drinks. Highly recommend «coconut shrimp» and the «tri-​tip «. Our friends are still talking about it even now.
We can’t thank Bill enough for making such a successful party for us. We look forward to have Bill cater our next important event.

We had Major Events back for our Son’s 2^nd birthday party. The tri tip and chicken were supreme. Perhaps the toughest test was with several of our guests who are acknowledged foodies-​I saw them going back for seconds and they loved it too. I look forward to having Major events cater a dinner party later this summer.

Bil and James catered my wife’s 30^th Birthday party and it couldn’t have gone any better. We chose a sit down, plated dinner for about 20 people. Both of these guys were super friendly! They are very passionate about their food and it shows in the taste. All of our guests were extremely impressed. WHATEVER YOU DO… MAKE SURE TO ORDER THE TRI TIP!!! We had people that are so so about beef, but demolished the tri tip they were given. Prices are second to none, so stop your search and book them now.
