GREAT place! Made a last minute appointment and was able to get in. Nancy took good care of me. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back to Nancy.

Once I walked in I was not greeted by anyone until about 10 minutes after the fact, then I went to look at the lipsticks. I seen an employee with a very cute lipstick combo that she then tried on me, very sweet and took her time! Wish I could’ve got her name

I don’t know why this place has gotten bad reviews. I came in and I always get treated good. BeeMay is the go to girl if you need help getting matched with foundation or finding that perfect red lipstick. She is awesome and will answer all of your questions with courtesy and she’s just great. She helped me find foundation, concealer, mascara, my lipstick, eye liner… This chick rocks! All those employees and Mac Fashion Valley rock!

Let me first tell you I was about to write a negative review because I dread going to this location. I have not had that greatest of customer service in the past… until today’s visit (¹¹⁄₁₂). Jessica & Ryan are wonderful. Ryan listened to me gripe about my pro card (name change) that I have been emailing corporate for 4 years now! simply to change my last name. Anyways, Jessica was patient with me as I was tired. I had a long day at work before I came in and they turned my «drained» self right side up. I work in a large five star resort and I know how important guest relations are. Thank You. However, If this Unilocal was for corporate Macpro membership services it would have a negative 5 stars, very dissappointed with you. BUT Jess & Ryan you rock please continue to give your great service. Thank you.

Went in to look around the other day and Nicole ended up helping me find everything I needed and more. She demonstrated how to use everything with the different brushes and helped me pick out the best colors for my skin tone. I will definitely be going back!

I don’t understand why this place has gotten bad reviews. I had one the best experiences than any other Mac cosmetics stores I have been to. I came on a busy Saturday with two of my great friends. An artist, Natalie helped us out and showed us some amazing how products. We each had different skin types and looks that suited how we wear our makeup. I found out I’ve been doing it all wrong & have been wearing the wrong makeup shade! (Thanks for Natalie lol) She even took the time to apply some of the makeup on all three of us. She was amazing. Natalie you my girl!
Also, everyone else was extremely friendly and were asking customer around them if they need help or if they had any questions. Thank you to the lovely ladies & gents at Mac fashion valley!

Just drove 20 mins on lunch to return an online lipstick purchase that was just the wrong color. After standing at the counter for five minutes, an employee who had already passed me four times finally said «these people are in line… you have to wait» and pointed at people looking at lipstick. My bad – I told her that I didn’t realize they were in a line, and she said «…you still have to wait in line.»
Yep. I wasn’t trying to get out of the line.
I got to the front of the line, and was told that I couldn’t return the lipstick there, but had to ship it back, despite the shipping label saying I could return online or in store.
Two stars because I like the product, but totally not worth coming here. At least at Sephora they’re nice to you.
RIP eating lunch today.

The customer service at this location is terrible. I always give the employees the benefit of doubt because they are usually busy, but it’s the same thing each time I go to this location. I should not be passed by 5 employees and no one offers help. That’s unacceptable especially if they aren’t busy. I pay too much money for that bs. They should really adjust their attitudes. So I give this store negative 5 stars. I’m still a fan of the product

Needed a Foundation and Powder desperately. went in and was helped by Courtney. He was amazing! He helped me, did my makeup for me, and walked me through step by step! I am very satisfied with the customer service!

I came in the other day just looking around not really intending to buy anything. It took a while for someone to come up to me but a girl matched me with Courtney. He suggested that I try some colors on and see what I thought.
He ended up picking colors that were a little out of my comfort zone. They were bold and a bid brighter than what I normally would have picked. He showed me some techniques that work great and made me really excited about trying new colors. I ended up walking out with much more than I had planned but Courtney provided such an awesome experience that I couldn’t resist! This is definitely my new go-​to MAC Store :)

I was lucky enough to have my prom makeup done by Stephanie and also one other time before. She is one of the sweetest people ever, and her work really shows how much she enjoys doing makeup. She is awesome! I have never felt disappointed.

I needed blush and lipstick from my MAC store. Earlier, I had input what I needed from there into my phone. Walked in, and was immediately greeted, «HIIII!» I said hi back.
The same girl who said hi was a pretty girl with pretty blue eyeshadow, who asked me if I needed any help. After she went to get what I needed and was ringing me up, I asked her how her day was going. She said «okay», while we exchanged knowing looks, and we both further declared it had been a busy and tiring one for both of us.
I find if I really think about my MAC Cosmetics, they make me happy. I always jettison myself back to the days when they first opened in Nordstrom, before they had their own storefront that said, «MAC». They were so excited to be working for MAC, and I’m sure they still do today. But something has changed. It’s this world, and how people don’t tend to look after one another today.
I paid, then wished her a good evening, and said goodbye. She did the same. I didn’t pay attention to her name. She showed manners and respect. She was a lady. Thank you!

The majority of my make-​up collection is from MAC. Having said that, I absolutely HATE going to MAC at Fashion Valley.
Every time I go to this location, I always experience a rude employee. Because these MAC employees are so rude, I only go to this location to test new MAC products so I can order it online. Why would I promote and give my money to a location that leaves me feeling so negatively??! I dislike this location that much.
Note to MAC employees at this location:
YOU ARE A MAKE-​UP ARTIST! You are NOT above people because you are a make-​up artist so don’t treat people like you are!
Note to the MAC store manager for this location:
You should concentrate on training your employees at this location. They need to be more customer-​friendly. More helpful with customers. Less judgmental. All around, they need to eliminate their RUDE attitude!
I’ve tried to think of anything positive about this location since I love MAC products but I find that the only time I get a «good» experience here is when the employees completely ignore me. So sad but so true.

One star for customer service experience today. MAC has a terrible return policy and no interest in being understanding or helpful. Guy «helping» me played really dumb and did not care for my business. I do like MAC but their stores are terrible.
Overall, if you NEED to purchase MAC products BUY THEM FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE! Nordstrom has a great return policy at least (but the same terrible employee attitudes). Macy’s also has a great return policy AND they E-​MAIL receipts!!!
Have had me makeup done here also and was nothing spectacular. I had to go home and redo it. Gal was lethargic, was not happy to be at work, and was a mediocre experience.

I find that MAC stores tend to provide really iffy service. Some locations I get totally ignored, and feel like I have to follow around girls to get help, which I hate doing. I’m usually in a bare face when I makeup shop because well, that makes sense, but I find that a lot of MAC artists somehow construe that as not being a serious shopper.
I had a great experience at this location. I was promptly approached by a sweet blonde girl. There was no name on the receipt but her employee # is 426 774. Anyway, she was really sweet, and answered all my questions ranging from brushes to moisterizer to eye shadow. I kinda wandered around for a good 20 minutes or so, and she would check in on me to see how I was doing and collect my selected items to hold for me at the front. Then she would leave me be and go help other people. I appreciated that she didn’t stay by my side the whole time like some makeup stores do (as a pressure sales strategy in my opinion) but gave me space and came back to answer more questions and provide more help. She was knowledgeable about all the products and good at multi-​tasking.
I’ll definitely come back to this location for any future needs. My only other observation – some of the other artists looked really bored and/​or miserable. They could smile a little more and it would really lighten up the mood a lot. I know it must be tiring dealing with people all day but they could try a little harder to hide it. :)

I went to an artist and asked for a color match after waiting around for 10+ minutes and found no one asked if I needed help.
She said yes (she would probably say no if she could).
She saw her friends or whatever pass by and asked if it was okay to say hi. I said I didn’t mind. But her friends came in and she told them «I’ll talk to you later, I have to do this girls makeup» in a tone where she just seemed so preoccupied to even help me. She rushed through my color match. She didn’t explain anything. She didn’t even tell me my color until I had to ask specifically.
She helps my cousin then comes back to me with a card with all the products she used on my face on a MAC business card with her name on it.
You think I’m coming back to buy from you when you gave me horrible service? No
Also, unless you look like you’re going to spend a lot of money or could be a MAC MUA yourself, they pay no attention to your presence.

I’ve had awful experiences with MAC employees before this, but Stephanie was great! She tended to my friend and I and helped us with everything. We walked out happy and loved our new lip sticks and lip liners!

Violet at the MAC counter is not only beautiful she knows her stuff! Had me hooked and back in lashes in no time! Love it!

I did not enjoy my experience here! Rude, stuck up people working here. He did his makeup while talking to me and rushed me so much. It matters what foundation you have, the color is important, he just went oh yeah here use this and that was basically it. He was over it. Register girls not much better.
Super loud in there and usually way to busy to get help.
Macy’s just opened a really nice mac counter, go there instead.
I hate supporting stores with care less service.
Pass.
But I love the makeup!!! Just buy it at a different location. Best products, foundation, lipsticks, brushes, highlighters and bronzer. Skip their mascara, blush and makeup removers. You can buy the same stuff for cheaper. But the bronzers are my fav. And the eye shadow blender brush. …worth the money!

1 star for awful service.
I walked in around 7pm (to be fair, I’m assuming the ladies have been working all day and are tired, but that’s still no excuse) for the first time ever – yes, first time ever walking into a MAC store. I was curious about their lipsticks since they have a reputation for being long lasting and vibrant. I was searching for the perfect nude that didn’t make me look dead. I had tried Sephora, where the makeup artists are super attentive, but had no luck finding a product that had all the qualities I was looking for.
After browsing lipsticks in MAC and being ignored for about 8 minutes I finally walked up to a makeup artist to ask if she had time to assist me. «One second,» she said, without looking at me, and turned away to finish helping someone else. Okay, that’s all fine and dandy… until I browsed the small store aimlessly for another 10 minutes (that’s almost 20 minutes of not being helped) while the cashier looked up at me with a «what do you want» expression and other makeup artists ignored me, busying themselves with tasks such as cleaning or rearranging products. I get that it’s the end of the day… but seriously? I paced back and forth a couple more times before just feeling pathetic… it’s hard to believe that with 4 employees walking around in the vicinity of that tiny space, not a single one noticed my «I need assistance» expression.
I walked out and I’m not going back. Sephora it is.
