Description

Specialties

It’s Chemistry.

Kelvin offers an escape from the every day world to mix, mingle, and socialize.

The W San Diego converts the dining experience to units kelvin based on your reflection to these four elements:

Ambience: W passion for design, music, and fashion.

Cuisine: a savory expression of culinary art.

Craft Culture: cocktails, beer, and wine offerings tease the senses.

Service Culture: warmth + wit = style with substance.

History

Established in 2012.

W San Diego relaunched its newly imagined property in June of 2012. Kelvin is part of the $ 5 million restyle created by Mr. Important Designs. Chef Kevin Harry, of W New York and Yankee Stadium, relocated to the West Coast to elevate the restaurant to white hot. Chef Kevin is a James Beard recognized culinary expert who loves to layer unanticipated flavors and textures in his dishes. It is not uncommon to see him interacting with diners as guests are the central focus of Kelvin.

Formerly «The Restaurant at the W» during change of ownership, service quality remains consistent. The W San Diego is well known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, and style with substance. «The Restaurant» has seen notable chefs Rocio Varela and John Garcia.

In 2002, Rice Restaurant beckoned trendsetters to its hip new setting. Rice reigned until the Living Room won its «Surf, Sand, Chic» restyle by Thom Filicia, 2008. Riko Bartolome and A.J. Voytko were the first W Chefs in San Diego.
