I bought a KIA Optima hybrid I got and amazing deal on it from Kearny mesa Ford & KIA, I absolutely love it I couldn’t be happier.
Personally I had been dreading buying a new car before Tyler Sneed had contacted me after I did a true car quote, he did an impeccable job making me feel welcome, and not just a sales figure. The efforts of him and his team, truly made me reevaluate my stance on car buying because I had had terrible experiences before at other dealerships.
I seriously cannot recommend them enough.

My husband and I have recently visited a number of dealerships always with our guard up. The lot at Pearson is a good size. Inside environment was pleasant and relaxed. Joshua Lemay, Internet Sales Manager, helped us. He was warm, respectful and intelligent. His knowledge of the Kia Optima and all its bells and whistles was extensive. He answered our questions honestly and I never felt like he was feeding us a line or trying to take advantage of us. I would definitely recommend this dealership and especially Joshua Lemay to my family and friends!

These guys have always taken a while but it’s usually been okay. Today was very different. I made an appointment last week for 10 am for a tuneup and oil change.
When I got there, the line to the service department was LONG, I almost didn’t make it off the sidewalk. It took 10 minutes for the guy with the tablet to get to me as he went car to car. He did a good job keeping track of who came in first and whatnot. I asked if everyone here made an appointment and he said mostly not.
It took another 15 minutes for the service rep to finally come out to my car. The guy that checked me in had to remind the service rep I was out there. It took him 5 min to look over the car, check mileage and get my info. He said he would call me in about 2.5 hours when it’s done. I asked why so long because I had an appointment. His response, «As you can see, we are quite busy.» Apparently my appointment means nothing.
After working in the nearby Starbucks, walking to lunch and running a quick errand near by, I walked back to the dealership. I got there 4 HOURS after I dropped off the car. I tried to find the guy that was supposed to help me but couldn’t find him. The lady that sits next to him helped me instead.
Needless to say I was a bit upset when she told me my car had been finished for a while now. «Didn’t he call you?» I had to wait for the paperwork, since it wasn’t printed out, and for the car to be pulled around. They didn’t wash it like they said they would. The valet offered but I declined because it might take another hour.
Overall I HATED this experience. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of the first impression I got from the gentleman that checked me in. He was very nice and took his time. Had a great conversation with him while he helped me. Everyone else, 0 stars.
Don’t come here until they get their stuff together.

I went here to test drive a Kia Rio. The salesman, Mike Tahbaz, suggested a really great route that included a fairly steep hill and plenty of highway time. He was not a pushy salesman at all, he just wanted to make sure I got all of the answers I needed. I also noticed that this dealership offers some of the best deals in terms of rebates and cash back. You should ask for Mike if you go car shopping there :)

OMG… these guys are the DEFINITION of EXCELLENT SERVICE, starting with Eric Bunch who texted me this photo of my «WANTED» car, but especially with Michael Hayner and financial guru, Lucky Huynh. After disappointing service at Fuller Kia (Chula Vista) and particularly Ball Kia (National City), in retrospect, I should’ve just came directly to this place. Afterall, we did get our last two KIA Optimas here. I was about ready to throw in the towel after leaving Fuller KIA, but once I got to Kearny Pearson KIA, Michael and Lucky, were so entertaining and made me feel like family (fed me delicious popcorn and coffee) that I didn’t care that the whole process took longer than I would’ve liked, BUT it wasn’t their fault. They went above and beyond to ensure I understood ALL my options. I’m so grateful for Lucky and Michael of Kearny Pearson KIA because they TOTALLY lived up to their motto, «WE MAKE IT EASY!!» Love you guys!
FYI…I bought a 2015 KIA Optima XLS and WE LOVE IT! Ask for MICHAEL HAYNER and he will treat you LIKE NO OTHER! And make sure, he hooks you up with LUCKY HUYNH to do the paperwork… talk about EFFICIENCY! ;-)

Best customer service I have ever experienced.

I recently leased a 2016 Kia Sportage — I love it! My sales person, Kevin Poorbaugh was wonderful the entire process. He was never pushy and was friendly while I was making the decision. 5 stars for him! There were a few hiccups at the dealership — my car wasn’t detailed when I came to pick it up (of course they threw in a free detail), and I felt the main sales manager was a typical pushy car salesman who was too aggressive when I started to get cold feet. Rick in finance was also incredibly friendly and helpful in helping me make decisions to get me out the door with the car I wanted and a payment I was comfortable with. 5 stars for him too! Overall it was a good experience and I am happy with my decision!

So I bought my Kia here.
Sales person was good, didn’t try to upscale me to a bunch of crap I didn’t need in a car, which I greatly appreciated. What I didn’t understand is why we walked in for financing and yet people who walked in after me walked out a hour before me. It took hours, which i hear is normal but man, I swear it never took me this long to buy a car before and this isn’t the first time I bought a car.
They will take care of you.
Granted if they are going to have snacks since you are there so long they need some healthier options or something for people with food issues. IE I have celiac and was STARVING after 4 hours there.
I need to take my car in for its first oil change so we shall see how that goes.

I had an excellent car buying experience at Kearny Pearson Kia. First of all the Kia financing program could not be beat– 0% for 5 years AND they paid my first 2 payments! I was trying to decide between the Nisan Juke and Kia Soul and that definitely tipped the balance towards the Kia.
My sales rep was Alejandro (Alex) Collins. He was extremely knowledgable about the car, friendly, and was NOT pressuring at all. All around a nice guy who made me feel welcomed.
Financing was a snap too. The Finance agent (Farhan Lakhani) didn’t try to up sell me on a bunch of unnecessary add ons, like they all do.
Very happy all around, and I love my Soul!

I just bought a new Forte and it was as painless as the process could be. Mark Ridener was great to deal with. I had looked through their inventory on-​line and found what I wanted. He quoted me the best price I’d gotten, so I made an appointment to get down there. After the test drive, I made my decision and braced myself for a day wasted. Nope — once we agreed on the details (which really did not take that long), the paperwork was completed, car gassed up and detailed, and instructions on how to actually use all the cool features and I was out of there. From driving in my old car to driving out the new — about 3 hours total. Everyone I dealt with — from Mark to Finance to Rae (who showed me how to work the fun bits) to the receptionist (who has to endure the hell of sitting next to the popcorn machine all day) — was friendly, professional and skilled at what they do.

Tach D. was awesome! He was very knowledgable about the Kia Optima and listened to my needs and what I wanted. Then advised me from there on why my best option was (went with the hybrid). He was able to find a exactly the car I wanted within a week of us first talking. I found him to be a man of his word and always followed up on what he said he would do. Which is hard to find. Also helped me once the sale was done get connected to service and parts which says a lot. Definitely use Tach when you go to Kearny Pearson Kia!

My sister made an appointment to meet with Kevin Poorbaugh. The day of her appointment just so happened to fall on the dealership’s day of renovations so things were a bit hectic in the lot. Kevin, however, was on top of things and was very professional with helping my sister find her her car without all the bullshit sales and up-​selling. He listened to her needs and showed her cars that were within her price range. Not once did he try to get my sister to look at other cars above her budget. If anything, he politely directed my sis’ attention away from the more expensive models that she was looking at and kept her on track.
My sis was undecided between two models and Kevin thoroughly pointed out the big differences between the two which helped her choose what was really important to her in a car. We took one of the cars on a test drive and we had so many laughs during the drive that it felt like Kevin was one of our friends and that we were just cruising along and hanging out. Kevin definitely makes this whole car buying experience comfortable, fun, and most importantly, you feel confident in knowing that you were treated like an individual instead of a sale. She made her choice and was very happy with her selection.
Our appointment was in the morning and we didn’t have time to grab any food before hand so we were growing a bit tired, hangry, and antsy. It was getting close to 3−4pm and we needed to leave the dealership at a specific time because we had an event to go to in a few hours. Kevin and other associates were aware of the time crunch and they did every thing they could to move the process along quickly. We appreciate that.
We then met with Lucky in the Financial Dept. This guy is a blast! Yes, he takes your money, but he wants to ensure that you receive the best coverage for you and your budget. He gave us his opinion, but in the end, he was not pushy. He has some great stories and we had many laughs! We left his office laughing and joking and the entire lobby was looking at us as if we were crazy. Ummm… your car buying experience does not have to be so serious. Laugh a little, smile a little.
Overall, I’m very pleased with my experience at Kia and my sis agrees, too. She loves her new car and she had a much better time here than at another Kia location (El Cajon). I may consider coming here for when I need to purchase a new car. Big thanks to Kevin P. and Lucky for a great time!

We just bought a Kia Sportage yesterday and we were beyond satisfied with the help we had. We had already tried a few other dealerships in SD and had horrible experiences. I called up the store about their sales ad and I was lucky enough to get help from such a great guy, Josh. He made everything so easy for us. I’m so thankful because we really needed this SUV as a second car with being a new mommy and all ;-)

Great service from Mike Tahbaz and staff. I bought my wife the 2015 Kia Soul from Mike and he got my wife the car and color she wanted. He went above and beyond to get her the white one. We thank you so much. She is really enjoying it. So much that she want even let me drive it.

I have to thank Idona for getting me in the door. I was hesitant because I have had previous unfortunate experiences in other dealerships. However this place since the moment I walked in I felt comfortable, Idona really understood what I wanted and she was patient and very informative. She didn’t try to hassle me into anything, she only gave me the options that fit my budget.

Past 2 months I’ve been looking to get Kia Soul Plus without success. Waves of calls from Kia dealers. I visited this dealership before. Kevin stayed in contact then TrueCar/​Kearny Kia had the basic model with no option at the price I wanted. Prices jumped down 1K. I’ve been frustrated with dealers upping the price with added options when they get me in… and offering dirt low trade-​in. Kevin promised the price will NOT change and perhaps he can do better (?). Went in… Kevin was running around to Kia manager/​running my credit/​financing then brought me the final invoice.
My final out the door was $ 17,570 including tax/​license/​registration. $ 2,000 rebate in my case which was lower than what I wanted. After that’s done I was sent to Financing officer who offered KARR (total replacement) alarm add $ 599…said NO and he said 50% off so I did. Anyways I was happy leaving there with my new car with few options and left paying less than what I wanted to pay. Never happened before.
So the day I wanted to buy was Kevin’s day off. Kevin said NO problem. When I came in the car was detailed ready. After paperwork was done I was in Financing for 20 mins… Kevin waited so he can go over the car use/​hook up my iPhone to bluetooth/​media/​answer my Qs! It was 9 pm on his day off. I felt bad but very appreciative. He was professional, groomed and dressed for the part, confident, organized, efficient and kind. Was a pleasure doing business with him!

Went in today because my headlamp was out, and both Maxx Scott and Robert Adkinson were tremendously helpful. Maxx is my regular service advisor, and always makes me feel comfortable and informed. Today Robert helped me with not only replacing my light bulb but he also showed me how to replace the battery for the key and checked my tire pressure.
I was charged for the bulb, but get lots of discounts on regular service since I own my Kia.

I recently spotted a new Kia Sorento on the road and really liked how it looked. Turned to good olé Unilocal to help me decide which dealership to go to. Brian Chamberlin’s name came up quite a bit in some reviews so I decided to give him a call. He was kind, outgoing, and was very enthusiast to help me find the right car. He answered every one of my emails promptly and sent me personalized videos of the exact cars I wanted and pictures as well. Although I didn’t end up purchasing a Kia his determination and loyalty to me warrants him 5 stars! I ended up going with a hybrid vehicle but in the future if I ever want to purchase a Kia I would not hesitate to give him a call! Thank you Brian for all your hard work… it does not go unappreciated :)

Car buying is never a piece of cake! I hate it! But I just bought a 2016 Kia Sportage and I LOVE IT! What made my experience was both Shaun & Tach! They are both amazing! Shaun was patient with me because I was indecisive and had no idea what I wanted. I had him walking all over the lot just to find the perfect car for me… btw they are on 10 aches! I finished up with Tach who again was so patient with me! After the vehicle was purchased (9:45pm) he sat in the parking lot with my husband and I lot for another 30 – 45 just showing me how to use my car! Both Shaun & Tach are funny, personable and honest upfront. All qualities you want from your salesmen! I definitely would recommend going here. I LOVE MY NEW CAR!!!

So we have a 13 Kia Rio that we bought in Washington state. Kearny is where we go for all of our services on this vehicle. Regarding sales, we have no experience here. Over all they are cordial, pleasant, and usually prompt.
Now to the nitty-​gritty.
Our service guy, Maxx is amazing. Nothing else to be said honestly, he’s really just good guy to deal with when it comes getting services done. Even in rough times, that we’ve had more than once, he maintains his cool, and really empathizes.
So this one time, our car was wrecked and instead going to Kia we tried a third-​party repair shop. Big mistake. long story short the third-​party guys screwed up wiring, and even left and actual tool in an inaccessible part of the car. It sounded like a screwdriver or something rolling around in car. Turns out it was underneath the rear seats panel. Between Kia and the third-​party, Kia was able to fix their mess, and sent them the bill. There was allot of back forth with this situation, and some follow-​ups but Kia was fair, and just with helping out. The only down side in this situation was that we needed a courtesy car, but they said they didn’t provide that service but they did have shuttle. I was disappointed at first but then realized I’m not driving a luxury vehicle it’s just a simple Rio.
More recently, we turned over our vehicle for an axle or cv joint replacement. Recently meaning I’m actually supposed to get my car back today. The issue arose when they accidently ordered the wrong part and extended the return time an additional day. As a student, and father of twins, I really need my car, so you can understand if this was quite keeping me placid. Regardless I still have hope.
So in starting this review I originally ranked these guys 3 stars. But since typing out my thoughts I’ll give them a 3.8, and round it to 4 stars.
Keep up the good work guy, and just make sure to fine tune the issues mentioned above.
