I would like to give this for-profit school minus stars. It’s a school that’s a big black hole, sucking away students financial aid and monetary funds, while providing little in return. The way University of Phoenix treats their students horrifies me. If you are taking classes here and your financial aid will be paid, but is temporarily stuck in a quagmire of red tape and bureaucracy(which is not your fault), UofP will send you to collections and ruin your credit(even if you explain the situation). They will drop you from your class even if you are in the last week of it. They will suspend all your future classes. Anything they can do to obtain payment quicker, even if it puts the student into a tailspin is justified by them. And they will refuse to contact or work with the agency paying the financial aid, all the while threatening you to continue contacting your outside financial aid to speed things up(even if it’s beyond your control). It’s ridiculous and students should be aware of how the school operates(money-grubbing, profit-driven, lack of concern for students, little in the way of services). Extremely dishonest. Awful, awful school. I am appalled. (By the way, I’m not referring to me.) I don’t attend here, thank goodness!
