Way too expensive for the paint! Auto zone sells the spray cans for less than $ 10 each, these guys charge $ 30 to start. Not recommended unless you need a color that Duplicolor doesn’t make. And if you go there, ask them to fill up the can. It’s a 12 oz can! Don’t let them fool you by putting 4oz of paint and 4oz propellant. Buyer beware!

Fantastic! The guys here are very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I had some touch-​up paint mixed up for my metallic silver car (which can be tricky) and it was a perfect match. They have a SEM Classic Coat sprays in tons of different interior colors. I showed them a project I wanted to work on, and they gave excellent advice. A+++ High recommend.

I have shopped here 3 times now, Mostly for my hobby needs (small jobs)
I would of loved to give them 5 stars but I have to deduct for the hours of operation (I always have to take time off from work to make in here) and the small limited parking.

Came in looking for touch up paint on a ride. They color matched it with paint sealant. The dealer wanted to sell the sealant and paint separate which was more expensive since they could make more money selling two things. This place gave me what appears to be more paint then the dealer. More bang for the buck. Great customer service as well! Would definitely consider this place for more touch up paint needs!

These guys are the best! Visited today to get some plastic paint to touch up my interior. They walked me through the process and set me up with everything I needed. Treated me like a life-​long customer and not the newb that I am. I am confident my car is going to look brand new thanks to Kearny Mesa Auto Paint.

These guys are AWESOME!!! Easily the MOST helpful refinishing shop I’ve EVER been in, including Dunn Edwards in the ‘70s, back when paint shops SET the bar in customer service.
I went in late Saturday, when most working stiffs are neck deep in their Friday night hang-​over or FaceBooking just praying for the work day to end. You could tell though, that these guys were ON IT. Even my gf was, like, wow these guys are on it! I’m a noob, and have painted a little but never any 2-​stage stuff. So, I told them this and that I needed everything to paint a few panels and a plastic WRX bumper. Was hoping to get out of there with some flex primer and some single stage paint. Unfortunately, they broke the news that Subarus have 2-​stage paint (base/​clear). Crap. Especially crap, because I planned to spray these parts on my gf’s patio, with drop cloths hung, for protection, at best!
Well, these guys put me at ease. Ran me through the whole process and set me up with all the stuff I needed, WITHOUT pushing a whole lot of expensive product on me. How often do YOU run into businesses that try to save you money AND make your life easy??? Yeah.
Anyway, parts came out crap the first time because I rushed the base coat. This meant I had to go back for more. KMP was JUST as helpful, maybe more so, the second time. You could tell the guy actually felt for me! Came back to the house, intent on not spending another penny on paint, and the second time around, they came out amazing!
I could not have done this project without KMP’s help and advice. If you’ve got paint projects you owe to yourself and your project to give these guys a go. Thanks Kearny Mesa Paint!!!

I decided to repaint my motorcycle, as the tank, side covers, seat and fenders were all different colors. Zombiecycle is made of dead motorcycles.
They were very helpful, and I visited them several times as I went through the process of stripping, sanding, painting and the final clearcoat application.
I actually learned a lot about this project from them before I even started it, so I didn’t encounter any unpleasant surprises.
When I decide to paint something else, they are now my go-​to guys for automotive paint and expertise.

I needed a lot of mini flakes for project an they didn’t have the quantity I needed, but still told me where else I could purchase. Customer first! I will be going back!

I have had two very good experiences with the staff at Kearny Mesa Auto Paint and Supplies. Once I left my headrest there for over a year always thinking that I would go there and pick it up; they kept it safe the entire time! This proves to me that they consider their customers’ needs and want to take care of them. This tells me that they are honest! Try to find that these days! Their prices are very reasonable, quality of products are top and it’s always a great pit stop! I rate them a 5 and you will too!

William (Memo) is great. Very nice and knowledgeable. This is the place to go for great service and personal attention. Prices aren’t the cheapest, but the service more than makes up for it.

I am currently repainting my bike and to save money I decided to do all the paint and prep myself. I am clueless when it comes to things like this but I got top notch service from these guys starting with the phone call to Ryan, then when I went in to the store younger bro and mom as well as the counter guy gave me good advice, customer service and probably up sold me on paint that I wasn’t planning on buying from them. I had a great experience and if I was in the auto body game they would be my main vendor. I was totally impressed thank you guys and I will make sure to bring over the finished product!

I went here to get help on a 54 chevy restoration project. I walked in looking for custom color and finish options. I was hesitant to go here at first because of the negative review but boy am I glad I went and checked it out for myself. I was blown away by the personalized service. I spent at least 2 hours there with Paige and Memo (the owner) who patiently answered my every question and even helped me make some choices. They really took interest in my project and I felt very taken care of. I am extremely picky when it comes to color so they sprayed a bunch of samples for me to help me make my choice. Memo even had his painter shoot a fender before making a final decision. All told I spent at least 4 – 5 hours in their store and finally got the perfect paint. They have everything you need supplies, paint, sandpaper, etc… I have seen first hand how they treat their customers and as far as Im concerned they are the best in San Diego. If you have any doubt stop by and see for yourself. Thanks to Memo, Paige and everyone else who helped me along.

Asked them if they can match a color for touch-​up & they said they could. After about 6 tries and still no match the owner starts complaining & says that they won’t do any more since I didn’t buy enough paint to warrant the time they’re spending on it. Customer Service at it’s finest indeed! Don’t commit to something you can’t do in the first place! Total waste of my time & money. The guy trying to get the color to match for me was great — too bad about the owner…
