Jiffy Lube

These people suck. I paid over $ 70 for an oil change. That’s all they did, change the oil and filter. I even knew I had a brake light out and they said nothing because they didn’t even check. I’ll never go to a jiffylube again.

So I finished with a road trip across the country and stopped here for an oil change. I asked for synthetic blend since that’s what I’ve always gotten ever since I purchased the car 2 years ago with no issues. They were so pushy, acting like my car only accepted the most expensive option (of course), telling me anything less would be no good for the car since my car supposedly only takes the most expensive option. I fell for this lie, not being knowledgeable of cars all that much. Anyway, this ended up costing me 100 bucks! Normally I pay only 35 back at home for the synthetic blend. When I arrived back home after my road trip I asked the place who normally does my oil changes if I was ripped off at Jiffy Lube and they said either option would have been perfectly fine. Synthetic blend will not ruin the car. Jiffy Lube lied to me and I fell for it. Never again! If they think their pushiness is going to keep customers then they’re wrong. I only keep my business with those who are willing to work with me by giving me more than one option to choose from and who aren’t pushy just because I choose the more affordable option.

I’ve been going to Jiffy Lube in Imperial Beach since late 2009 and they have always had super service, no doubt about it, they always suggest anything that you might need in a future visit which is nice of them. I have done every service there and never felt that they half assed my service, always the best. But in late 2015 Jiffy Lube did my oil change and apparently damaged my the screw on the oil pan because they tighten the screw more than its entended to so a week later i see something dripping from under, take it to my personal mechanic and surely the screw on the bottom of the oil pan has been getting tighten so for long that the groves on the oil pan are worn out so my oil pan is messed up thanks to Jiffy Lube and i’m pretty sure the worker noticed the damage and did report it or notify me about it. I stopped taking my car to Jiffy Lube. BE CAREFUL WHEN TAKING YOUR CAR TO JIFFY LUBE CAUSE THEY WILL NOT LET YOU KNOW OF ANY DAMAGE THEY HAVE DONE TO YOUR CAR.

Too expensive for just an oil change. I got the cheapest one at $ 65 only cause I really needed it. the guy was very pushy and tried selling me an oil change for $ 100!!!
I thought, haha your funny.
Once they were done I looked over my receipt and it said that included with an oil change was a free vacuum, window cleaning, and fluid fill up. None of which was done.
And when they were making my sticker for the mileage the guy purposely deducted 1000 miles, supposedly because my car has high miles.
I think they just wanted me to come back sooner to make more money.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
They will try to rip you off

He said synthetic oil was recommended for my car. I looked it up and it’s not. There goes $ 50. He said they would wash my windows. They’re still very dirty. I mentioned it and he said it was too difficult to clean. Bad experience. Never going there again.

Totally took advantage of my 16 year old son. Charged him almost $ 70 for a simple oil change and wouldn’t honor his coupon because he gave it to them moments after they started. Really? Terrible customer service! Definitely won’t recommend them and will never return.

I had my oil change done in this location. I was really impress on the service and the knowledge of the workers. Riz explained everything that my car needs. I was really satisfied and would definitely come back again. I highly recommend this place.

Broke a piece on my vehicle, but I still give them 5 star with how they handled it. In three days a new part was opened right out of the box in front of me and installed. Great customer service skills

I had procrastinated on getting my oil changed for months now and sensed I needed to take care of it ASAP, just by the way my SUV was running lately.
I called my usual service shop after work, hoping they could get me in, but there was an hour and a half wait. So, I called Jiffy Lube instead. I spoke with Daniel to find out their business hours and see if they had time to service my car at the last minute. «No problem,» he said. I rushed over and Daniel checked me in and quickly took down my info. He was very professional, by the way. Daniel and his crew took care of me in a Jiffy! They changed the oil, changed the oil filter, checked my tire pressure and other things, and even cleaned my windows in a total of 12 minutes! Yes, I timed it.
My usual place IS less expensive, but you ‘pay for what you get’, as the saying goes. My usual place over torqued my oil filter more often than they should have, causing oil to leak out a few times. The first few times it happened, they even tried to deny it. I doubt I would ever get that kind of shoddy service at Jiffy Lube. I’ll be coming here my next 5,000 miles instead!

I’ve been coming here for about 2-​years, and even when they’re busy I still get in and out in less than 30-​minutes.
Driving is part of my job, so I pull in about every 60 – 90 days for service. On Black Friday, I had to get my oil changed so I dropped in about 3:30P. The guys had me in and out in less than 15 minutes AND did everything they said!
When my Jeep was under warranty, I would take it to the dealer. I would make an appointment a week in advance, yet still waited as long as 4-​hours while they worked me into their other service requests.
This is a great place to get a good, affordable oil and filter change. They’re always courteous, never pushy and you get a complete service for a great price — $ 39 for oil, filter, fluid levels topped, air pressure checked and interior vacuum.

First time at this location and we were very impressed with the service. Employees knew there products and had a good handle on wait times. We were most impressed with Tom as he was knowledgable, efficient, and most courteous. Prices seemed fair enough. We will definitely return soon.

When I first started coming here, I was so happy bc I thought I found a legit place to take my car to. But of course like any other car repair shop they’ve managed to change my mind. I had a man offer me a service that I had purchased last time lol why? Also, they had attempted to charge me to top off my coolant which is crazy because I’ve never heard of something like that. What’s even crazier is that I paid for an almost $ 70 oil change (which doesn’t bother me because it’s for my car) so why the hell wouldn’t you just top off my damn coolant for free? I’m in sales too but I don’t make it completely obvious. AND get this. When I went to turn my car on to leave, the mechanic didn’t even bother to turn off my ‘change oil soon’ light. Maybe they should start with the easy stuff like turning off my warning lights before trying to upsell shit to me that I clearly don’t need. Needless to say I will be taking my car and my dough elsewhere. Kinda sucks bc this place is super close to my place

I used to go here for my oil changes. They would put your license plate in andcwould greet you by name. It was nice. 7 month ago I took my car in and notice they did tires and brakes. I asked how much the tires were? They gave me yhe cost so I bought 2. They did my oil and my tires and I was on my way. 24 hours later my low pressure sensor went off. I was like it can’t be. I called them and the employee was stunned. He asked for me to bring it back in. The next day I did; right after work. They informed me that the guy who installed my tire broke the sensor, but not to worry it can be fixed. In my mind I was thinking, «Wait once the Sensor is broken its broken and needs to be replaced». When the car was done I was told that the sensor was replaced with a bew one I was good to go.
So sometime from the day I left the shop until March 29^th I seemed to have picked up a tac. March 29^th I was driving home on the 805S. My tire collapses. After putting on the donut I called Jiffy Lube and told them what happened. They told me to bring it in and that it needed to be looked over. He said that he had to either have it picked up or he can drop it off at the place that inspects the tires. I should have taken the time to look it over myself, but I was in a rush. They called me back next day and said they found a hole, so it collapsed because I «chose» to drive on a flat tire. «Uhm no». I told him that I have a sensor in the tire if there was a leak, I would have known and then patched it or bought a new tire. The guy who inspected it wasn’t even there when I came in to look at the hole. It was a tiny little hole so I was puzzled. Why didn’t the sensor go off? Its not like it was a huge nail and it was an instant puncture. My husband wanted to see what could make a hole so small. So he asked to see a tool. It didn’t fit. We tganked the guy and left. We started to think of senarios that could have happened. The tire wasn’t stabbed (whether it was before I drove or after it collapsed) it wasn’t a nail that busted it quickly. The final senario was it was possibly a tac that is sometimes used in construction because there was a quarter size circle around the hole. So my tire picked up a tac and slowly deflated and the sensor didn’t go off. I had the solution. The sensor was never fixed, so I had no idea I had a leak. I made the decision to not do business with them ever again no what they did was fradulent. To make sure my suspicions were correct, I found out that a place where I used to get tires can put tires on my car now. Before they couldn’t because I have a hybrid. So I took my car over to get tires. Boy did I get info.
1. I had one tire size on there. Instead of putting the same size on they put a size up. And it was the front tires. Yeah No Bueno.
2. They checked the sensor. As I suspected the sensor NEVER worked or they installed it wrong.
3. I spoke to an employee who is friends with an employee from Jiffy Lube and he told me that the brakes and tires thing is Super Brand New. So they really aren’t that trained in it.
I technically should have known better, but it would have been awesome to have a 1 stop shop. The thing that I’m most disappointed about is that I was out of the price of a tire and I hsve to pay for a new sensor its not like they will pay for it even though they broke it. If it worked, then my tire wouldn’t have collapsed. I’m not even going to use them for oil changes because if something goes wrong, will they accept the blame or once again say it’s my fault and I would have to pay for their mistake again? I wish that I had a picture of the sensor though.

They earned a five star review. Not only are they professional and knowledgable, they’re also very personable. They didn’t even attempt to sell me something that I didn’t need which is new to me! Ask about pricing if you bring in your own oil, oil filter, and air filter. I will definitely be returning for my next oil change. Thanks guys!

Most excellent service, and nothing extra was charged – they gave me a few suggestions of preventative maintenance, but I told them it didn’t need to be done today. There was no hassle, no pressure, and my car was in and out in less than 45 minutes. Good job!

A total bait and switch operation. Went in with a coupon and came out $ 215 later for an oil change and other services that I found out later I didn’t need. Stay away from this place.

They always have prompt courteous service and always try to up-​sell on accessories too, but its quick, efficient and convenient. My big complaint is that they do not stock the kind of oil needed for my truck — 10W-​30. It is the most common oil there is but they don’t even have bottles of it available, let alone bulk oil. That may prevent me from going back. they have the thinner oils used in newer cars, like 5w-​20 but, come on. 10W-​30 is used in a million cars and trucks.

Went in for an oil change at this location because it’s a few blocks from where I live.
A few weeks after I went in my truck started spewing oil all over the place.
The oil filter had two little puncture holes in it.
I had such a hard time removing the filter. It was on so tight, by the time I got it off it was all mangled up.
The two puncture marks fit the width of an oil filter wrench. The idiot who did the oil change probably torqued the filter on with a wrench and overtightened it, instead of hand tightening it.
Train your mechanics Jiffy Lube.

I don’t know who they think i am but I am never going back. A synthetic oil change for a 4 cylinder car should not cost over $ 100!!! they ripped me off. Not honest people here. Stay away. Just like most auto shops who try ripping people off.

The guy that was working ran my plates before I even got out of the car and greeted me by my first name! Seriously, that’s service. Also, I went in for an oil change, and turns out I needed new air filter and light for my license plate. I didn’t want to do all that, but he gave me a tiny discount so I agreed. They were done i n about 15 minutes. Well done!
