Jamaican Jerk Hut

Ate here at the solana beach farmers market on Sunday. Very friendly service, great jerk chicken combo, great price. It’s farmers markets only.

My husband and I took home some pork, jerk chicken, oxtail and a beef patty from Jamaican Jerk Hut stand at Poway’s farmer’s market this weekend. The food was DELICIOUS. Everything we ordered seemed fresh and of great quality. This is a great introduction to West Indian food if you have not tried before.

This truck came to my sons school yesterday for Open House. The food was amazing!!! And the prices are reasonable!!! I’m going to have hunt them down at the Scripps Farmers Market.

What can I say, the food here is amazing! I went to the farmers market at Otay Lakes where they have a stand and tried them out. I had the beef jamaican patty and it was great. I also tried the bbq chicken with their rice and beans as well. I didn’t care too much for the rice but the chicken was also really good. I came back a little later to get some more patties to take home but he had already sold out.

If you love Jerk you have to hit this booth at one of the Farmer’s Markets! Whether Chicken or Ox Tail you won’t be disappointed. The flavors are all there. Nice people to chat with, samples to try to help you make up your mind.

Oh yum! I love Jamaican food!
We were at the farmers market in Solana Beach and came across the Jamaican Jerk Hut. The guy running the stall was friendly and allowed us to try the Jerk Chicken. It was delicious.
The prices were very reasonable and he had a great choice. Loving the patties! I will be going back for more!

If this is the same Jamaican jerk hut that is at the farmers market every Tuesday in Otay ranch, then this place is great. I literally go every Tuesday to grab dinner for my husband and I. He loves the jerked and BBQ chicken and I love the oxtail combo with cabbage and plantains! Literally every Tuesday I go and never get sick of it!

The BEST JAMAICAN FOOD IN SAN DIEGO. Their oxtail is to die for. It is super tender, and the sauce over their red rice and beans is just heavenly. Add a dollar for the side of veggies and plantains and you are set for an amazing meal. Their BBQ chicken and jerk chicken are also very good, but the oxtail is seriously the best. It’s also very popular among others so it does tend to sell out fast, sometimes even before 11am. Their beef patties are amazing too. You can’t go wrong with place, it’s just a shame more people don’t recognize them on Unilocal.They certainly have their fair share of regulars though.
