I have purchased four pistols through Gio and would not go anywhere else. Gio meets with you one on one, answers e-​mails and has very fair prices. He is a very knowledgable professional who works well with making sure that the customer always gets exactly what they want. Right now I am working with Gio to find me the perfect AR10 so I can start shooting some of this .308 Ammo I have stacking up. Gio works with all the major distributors and brands. I plan on making all of my firearms purchases through his company.

Currently in the process of making my 3^rd purchase there (one SSE pistol last year, two C&R rifles), and I have to say this is the best kept secret in San Diego. Everything is by appointment only, with flexible hours, convenient email contact. Gio (owner) is highly knowledgable about legal issues, technical operation, and accessories; he can dig up just about anything you are looking for. Great customer service, extremely friendly and professional.
An example: I emailed Gio that I was interested in buying a chinese SKS, and he said he even had one in stock but had only opened the box once since it was drenched in cosmoline. I drove over and we field stripped this cosmoline-​soaked SKS just so I could check it out! Also, if you are into the CZ handgun platform, they are doing some VERY nice custom work there now.
Bottom line is that you won’t find this level of service at any other dealer in San Diego. Highly recommended!

I found Gio to be knowledgeable, friendly and very customer oriented. I did an out of state transfer here a few months back, and it was a very smooth transaction.
His shop right now is a fairly small place, and you might miss it if you blink! :) But if you find this little gem, you won’t regret it!

The reason Gio (the owner) gets so many 5 Star reviews is that he earns them with his
truly outstanding customer service. It is that simple.
I’ve visited hundreds of shops since I bought my first rifle in1964 and I’ve met some of the best of the best in the business over the years, but no one more personable, accommodating and efficient than Gio. If you are lucky enough to meet him, as I did at the recent Del Mar Gun Show, you will know exactly what I mean. He handled my transaction simply & directly while generating confidence in his abilities along the way.
He lives up to his business/​mission objectives stated on his web site.
A quick note: We are losing outstanding FFL dealers faster than we are gaining them. The loss is devestating to firearms enthusiasts who have to travel further and further for products and services.
It is a luxury to have great shops like Honey Badger Firearms.
Patronize and support these shops as much as possible. They deserve it for the business risks they take and all the regulations they have to abide by and endure because of liberal lawmakers.
The owner works to offer the lowest prices, but he still has rent, insurance as well as local, state and federal fees to pay.
Lets not lose fine shops like this over a few dollars.

Met Gio (the owner) at the Del Mar gun show a year ago and kept his card. Finally contacted him and from start to end, great communication and no issues with the purchase of my handgun!
He answered all my questions promptly over email and phone and made the transaction very smooth.
Gio ordered the handgun, took 2 days for shipping, and DROS submission was on time. Waited the CA 10-​day rule, and picked up on the 11^th day.
He even notified me of the ongoing special Springfield Armory had going on with free mags & holster.
Will definitely be going through him for future purchases!
Just some info on finding his shop:
It’s located all the way at the end of an alleyway. There’s no sign on the main street, but you’ll enter the alleyway at the «Access Collision Repair» sign. Look for the «double telephone poles».

Should’ve written this awhile back.
I’d finally found the CZ I’d been looking for forever and stumbled across Honey Badger to use for the FFL transfer. So glad I did! Gio is awesome! So much more friendly and easy to deal with than the other places I’d spoken to to that point. It’s easy to see Gio’s passionate about his business and earnestly eager to help. I referred a buddy before my initial deal had even concluded. Each interaction since has been consistently great.
I cant recommend Honey Badger enough!
ps. the driveway is a bit hard to spot if you haven’t been there before. it’s pretty much halfway between the vet and the self storage place.

GIO is the man.
I recently acquired a Remington 870 and began making modifications on it right away. I was in the process of installing a fore end grip when the bolt carrier got lodged behind the gun. Being a novice, I freaked out and hopped on the computer to find a gunsmith.
I called Gio right away and talked to him, let him know what the issue was. Gio was knowledgeable and very receptive of beginners, and went right to work. Throughout his service, he was easy to talk to and VERY friendly.
All in all, Gio got the issue fixed, installed the fore end grip, and applied some CLP to my shotgun … FOR FREE. Can’t argue with FREE, period.
Gio, you’ve won me over, man. I will be referring you to my friends from here on out. Thanks again for the A+ service.

I found out about Honey Badger from a co-​worker. I called to get pricing on a Pistol that seemed to be priced the same no matter where I looked online. Gio was able to beat online prices and was far more interested in helping me than Turners was when I came to 15 questions I had. To be honest I would have paid more than Turners priced with Gio just because the customer service was so much better. I did not feel like I was bothering them with my lack of knowledge/​experience (unlike Turners). Gio definitely went above and beyond to make me a satisfied customer.

I came across Honey Badger on
and saw that he does single shot exemption, which was great because I wanted a Glock G17 Gen4. I contacted Gio and he quickly emailed me back to set up an appointment for the following morning. He’s a small one man operation (but totally legit) so everything is appointment only. I stopped by the next morning and he had the gun ready for me to see. He was really pleasant and the transaction was quick and easy. No need to wait around to try to get a sales persons’ attention. Bottom line, the gun is the same regardless of where I get it, but I really liked doing business with Gio and would definitely do so again.

My friend and I messaged Gio, the owner of Honey Badger Firearms, to purchase two S&W M&P9s for our first handgun. Gio worked out all of the details over e-​mail and the phone in a quick and professional manner. Honey Badger Firearms does not have a store front, it is more similar to a firearms brokerage/​gunsmithing service than a traditional gunshop. We set up a time to meet Gio to pay the deposit, deal with paperwork, and submit DROS.
Everything went smoothly and Gio did a great job facilitating the purchase. He is a real friendly and knowledgeable guy that will do his best to make sure you receive the best service. I ended up having to submit DROS a second time and reschedule my pickup time, Gio was able to accommodate both within a days notice.

I spoke to Gio on the phone who owns and operates the business. He was very helpful and informative on the phone and we arranged a time where I could stop by and look at a variety of the pistols I was interested in.
Although this location is not a full retail gunshop, they nonetheless can secure a wide variety of firearms at discount prices lower than anyone else I checked with in San Diego. More importantly, they offer one on one service with much greater attention to customer service than the big gun shops.
