Marissa is phenomenal! When you start off with planning your wedding it starts off as just this cloud of items/​people/​moments and it’s all a bit overwhelming to envision and keep together; but through the online planning tools Marissa has developed the planning process is fun and exciting. You enjoy the experience of planning your wedding with Marissa’s guidance. She seamlessly turns that whirlwind of planning into a well timed out, detailed, and organized day. Marissa is a young lady playing the princess through other peoples weddings. She does her best, but you will be better served elsewhere. I wish I could give her a better review but honestly I feel like this wedding planning is a hobby and backup plan vs. a true profession.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Hitched With Huff! From the very beginning, the company owner, Marissa listened closely to my wants and needs and made sure everything was executed on time and on budget.
We wanted an intimate elopement on the beach with a backyard soirée days later. They had 2 separate events to plan and it really did go off without a hitch!
Both events were absolutely perfect in every way. Hitched With Huff styled the gazebo for the ceremony, found a fabulous officiant, an amazing photographer and to top it all off — even made my bouquet and flower crown! Serious talent!
Not to mention that Marissa and her assistant Monique are a dream to work with. They are both so warm, kind, great listeners. and best of all — creative pros!
I was absolutely shocked when I walked into our backyard party. Hitched with Huff hand-​built the bar out of pallets! Painted a backdrop with our couples logo (that she created) and adored the whole yard with greenery, rustic accents, florals and photos from our elopement.

Our wedding simply would not have been possible without Hitched with Huff (HWH). Marissa and her lovely staff — Mo, Jackie, Val — went more than above and beyond for us… there aren’t even words to explain just how much they helped us put on the best wedding our friends and families have ever attended! Marissa was always 10 steps ahead of us, she knew what we needed before we even knew we needed it. Now THAT’S a quality you definitely want in your wedding/​event planner! She helped us secure our caterer, bartenders, musician, florist and that is just the beginning. Not only did she help us fit everything in our budget but she always had a smile and a soothing voice to help us through the crazy world of wedding stress. She always helped us through rough patches when we thought we wouldn’t be able to afford a nice vendor and had plenty of suggestions on how to save money, which was our main concern. Our theme was a simple, summery backyard wedding ceremony and Marissa always made sure to incorporate this in everything she did for us. She set up a Basecamp account for us which really helped us stay on track with her as well as our many to-​do lists. Instead of a million emails/​texts back and forth, we would communicate and send files back and forth through Basecamp so nothing got mixed up in our personal email inboxes, which really helped us stay organized and on top of things. When it came down to the week of the wedding, HWH stepped up their game even more so when we thought they couldn’t get any better. They helped us organize the wedding rehearsal and took charge of everything. They kept our family in line and made sure everyone listened to their instructions so that the big day would run smoothly. Any time they saw stress on our faces, HWH would immediately ask what they could do to help and wouldn’t let us lift a finger. How awesome is that? I had a small issue come up with our dress vendor and HWH was ready with an alternative solution right then and there without blinking an eye. The issue was resolved without having to use the alternative solution, but just knowing that HWH was there for us and ready to take any negative energy away from our wedding was absolutely relieving. The kind of relief you feel when you get a massage and a nice spa… just something that completely takes away the stress and leaves you feeling calm, serene, and able to breathe again!
This continued on through the week leading up to the big day. We were able to relax and enjoy our last few days with our respective bridesmaids/​groomsmen without worrying about a thing since HWH took care of everything. On our actual wedding day, it rained! Each HWH staff member came to check on us at the hotel in the morning, made sure we had everything we needed, and then even offered to run to In-​N-​Out for me and the bridesmaids while we were getting our hair/​makeup done! For bridal groups out there, you all KNOW how hungry you get while waiting several hours for all girls to get done up, right? HWH took everything in stride and managed to secure tents and had them popped up and ready to go all at the last minute. They had umbrellas ready to shield our pretty dresses from the rain as we came out of the hotel and into the cars and back out to arrive at the house for our backyard wedding. Throughout the ceremony and transforming the backyard/​house into the reception, HWH helped herd our families and friends in and out of the house so we could get the family photos done, and while we went to a nearby resort to get our bride/​groom photos done, HWH helped everyone line up for food in the backyard with the lovely crêpe stations.
We could literally write a book on how HWH is the best choice for planning your wedding/​event, but we will boil it down to this: If you want a stress-​free event that is beautiful, memorable, unique, and handled by a team of extremely organized and cheerful professionals, then you need to contact Marissa ASAP. Marissa and her assistant Jackie planned and orchestrated our wedding with the petite package. Marissa went above and beyond with our unique wedding with a very involved family. She deftly and effectively managed the whole process, and it would not have been as smooth and as fun if not for Marissa.
