H&R Block

DO NOT GO HERE! Get a REAL tax professional. The «tax professional», Michael, messed up my taxes and got my wages garnished. My husband is military and his state of record is Florida and there is no state tax. We let him know that and it is stated on my husbands LES that his home of record is Florida. Michael did state taxes for California for him anyway, which made us owe over $ 2700. When I realized the error, I sent my husband to a different, H & R block, because the one we originally went to was closed until next tax season. The rep filed an amendment for the error. The state of California sent me a letter at the end of November stating they were garnishing my wages. California wasted no time and garnished my first check in December. I took my taxes to Jeanette Cozzie, at the original H & R block, last Wednesday (Jan 20, 2016), and she looked them over and admitted that Michael was new and someone should’ve been looking at his returns before they went out and that other people have had mistakes on taxes that he’s filed. She said she would call me the next day. No call. I left 2 messages that were never returned. I went up there yesterday, January 27, and she hadn’t even looked at them. She admitted that she didn’t know how to fix them. WTH! Her card says she is a senior tax advisor 5 military tax expert. I doubt it. I am on the phone with corporate now. Hopefully they are more helpful.

Lillian was amazing fast and friendly!.. there were not tons of people sitting around waiting. We have to make an amended return and everyone has been so helpful!
