It is very rare that I post reviews on Unilocal.My wife and I contacted GW Construction to provide an estimate for some repairs on our home. We had Matt come out and do our site visit for the repairs. Prior to our visit we received a phone call from Matt informing us he was on his way. We found this to be quite refreshing. He showed up promptly as scheduled and provided a thorough and comprehensive evaluation for all the needed repairs for our home. He provided us with a fair and honest price to complete the necessary repairs of our home. In my line of work I deal with a lot contractors I have found they have exceed my expectations. From the Superior customer service, professionalism, the use of cutting edge technology at site visit as opposed to when the process begins, knowledge and expertise. I can see why they have been in business for over 40 years. We will definitely be using them.

We used GW Construction for our kitchen remodel and would highly recommend this company. We met Guy at our initial sales meeting and he stayed on our project from the beginning to the end. It was great having a single point of contact who could address all of our needs. Guy was very responsive; he will answer emails/​texts/​calls within minutes. He is honest, hard-​working, and very customer-​focused. Guy understood our budget and what we were trying to accomplish with our remodel. His entire crew was professional and easy to work with. We were highly impressed by the quality of the kitchen cabinets. They are like custom cabinets but at a budget-​friendly price. We are very happy with our kitchen remodel and glad that we chose GW Construction. Ask for Guy — he is awesome!

The reviews about this company are true. It is very refreshing to be treated as a valuable customer by everyone in this company from the office manager all the way through including Matt who who came out and did a fantastic job with providing us with a complete an honest estimate for the repairs for our home. It became very apparent to us from the very beginning that GW wasn’t just concerned just about getting the job done but getting it done the right way the first time. There is a reason why these people have been in business since 1973. We will definitely be using them. If you want great customer service, honest and fair estimates than look no further than GW Construction.

The best construction company! I needed some remodeling to a bathroom in my house. I did some research of my own to find different companies to contact. I felt that when I spoke with other companies it was as if they weren’t there for the customers needs. When I spoke with GW, they were very attentive and make you feel as if you are part of their family. Matt came to give an estimate and I felt so comfortable and trusting in his hands. He was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He explained all the different aspects of the job and pricing. I knew that this was the right choice! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

I used GW Construction to widen my driveway and concrete and area under a chain link fence. Matt looked at the area and gave me a fair and reasonable estimation and we agreed on a date. Knowing I had some medical issues coming up Mat got Henry and Tim out one day early. Knowing the size of the area I thought ok one day to dig it up and then pour the next. Henry said every thing would be done in one day and it was done to perfection. In this day and age it was refreshing to see someone with the work ethic that Henry had. A ture throw back to yester year. Thanks GW Construction.

I received a call from a young lady from GW Remodeling. She told my husband and I that they did all forms of construction. We were in the beginning process of looking for a contractor to replace our roof and also to repair and coat the exterior of our walls. We had wood rot damage also. We don’t usually take marketing calls but she was very sweet and followed up with us. We set a time for them to come out and give us a free estimate. The price seemed fair and even more so after we got a few more estimates. We hired them and they started two days later. A week later we walked around the house and looked at the work and they did a beautiful job. For once there was no mess left behind. If we need any work on our home in the future, we’ll call GW Remodeling. Good company.

GW put in a new tile floor for me in a bedroom and completed the baseboards around some very tricky corners in several other rooms in my older home. Albert made the schedule easy to understand and worked with me on times and dates. They completed the work in an astoundingly short time and the work has been professionally done. Albert checked the work and kept in touch with me in a very professional manner. I have indoor cats and the men were very careful not to let them out which was a large concern of mine — these guys were great.

My fiancée and I were looking for a remodel and GW was one of the companies that we called. We met with Matt and I knew right away that this was the guy for the job. He listened to what we wanted, and explained what would need to be done. One guy from a different company came and told us what he was going to do, not what we wanted done, ya, no.
So we talked price and what we wanted was out of our price range. We discussed the process with Matt and he found a way to get us everything we needed for the remodel. He really worked with us and the price, we were/​are very grateful for that.
When we spoke to Matt he listened first, and then explained everything. He was honest and upfront and made no promises that he couldn’t deliver on. He knows his stuff and made us feel very comfortable.
I’m not going to bore you with the details, but we signed a contract and set some dates. The project was finished a week early, which is awesome. After the contract was signed we wanted to add one more set of cabinets. Matt had no issues. He really did everything he could for us. We had his number and were able to talk to him about any concerns that we had at any time.
His crew all knew their jobs and did them well. We never had any issues with them at the house. They were all very polite and worked well.
Matt and his guys so impressed me that if I have ANY more work to be done, I will only go through him. I cannot express how much he worked with us on the price, and how he answered any and every question we had even on the weekend!
If you have anyone else work on your house you will be doing yourself a disservice!

I usually don’t go on sites to write review but this company deserves it
They came out a few weeks ago to look at my windows and roof project I had in mind. I looked for months for a good, reputable and honest company to get the work.
They quoted me a bit higher than the cheaper contractor but I decided to take the chance and do the work
Guys showed up earlier than schedule, got the work done oj time and on budget with mo extras.
Yes!!! NO EXTRAS!!!
I would absolutely definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who needs anything for their home

GW is definitely the place to turn to if you’re searching for a good contractor for your house remodeling. I’ve hired GW and was completely satisfied throughout the entire process. The crew was there on time with a smile willing to satisfy all of my picky needs. I started with bathroom remodeling and ended doing the kitchen as well. Highly recommended!!!

At the time of review, GW has just started work for a total house remodelling project for 1week. The progress has been swift for a job right before new year’s these guys don’t waste time! We just bought our dream home and running on a shoe string budget and a very tight timeline. GW made it possible for us in their flexibility to fit our budget with expert advice on cost and design. We shopped together with GW for Materials on this project, the cost to them the same to us. These guys are wonderful to work with that I felt they deserve a review even before the project is completed. No cutting corners, kitchen remodelling was shown to us in 3D graphic so much easier to see visual then second guessing ! Matt is very on the ball and quick which convince us he is confident in delivering the project as described in our contract. We had other bids for whole house remodelling but have gone with GW for their years of experience in this industry (they come well recommended in my husband’s office in the review forum for general contractors –Qualcomm).
Update: March 24,2015
Job done in about 9 weeks, mind you entire 2600 sqft place done up on flooring /​2 ½ bath updated, Kitchen remodeling, knocked down a wall, electrical wirings, rerouting of gas line just to name the big stuff. Honestly there were some time hiccups BUT those ones were not in GW’s control. Stuff like permits and inspections from City hall that delayed maybe 2 weeks of the entire project. Good communications with Matt enabled this to happen and of course the team who works with Matt too, Albert ‘s motto is «I won’t do to your house what I won’t do to mine «- I actually miss the guys coming over :)
We were given places to chose our materials (granite top) kitchen and bathroom tiles, etc etc these guys don’t just stop at homedepot (nothing against homedepot /​lowes etc) and have other venues they source for quality materials at reasonable pricing. I chosed a granite countertop, needed 2 pieces as we have a new island in the kitchen remodeling only to have Danny come back to me asking if we can go over the choice. It turns out The Manufacturer was not able to give us 2 pieces of granite in the same shades (same stuff but stocks varies) but GW wanted to ensure we are getting countertops that we would be happy with. So Danny took me to another place, and we chose something else, it did cost more (workmanship /​full slabs of granites needs cutting) but we were happy to pay for it. And GW shared the extra cost with us. They were pretty serious on helping us keep our budget. This is just one of the things about them .
Half way into the job, more problems came about — floor uneven (we are on a slope) mold in the bathroom — it was a total nightmare to us as new homeowners mentally and financially. GW to the rescue, of course we need to pay extra to get things right but again they did not overcharge, even when Matt had the liberty to squeeze us (at that point we are at his mercy) he did not. Love him for that !
I can go on and on about them, both my husband and I are just glad we got the GW team on our backs no regrets getting them to do our place up.
Key point is, GW may not be the cheapest around but they are certainly is not the most expensive they are reasonably priced. We still have small stuff to fix like changing windows to double panel we will definitely come back to Matt and Albert for this.
