I love shopping at Gucci! From the sunglasses, to belts and shoes. This day I went shopping for backpack and found something I liked. Had to grab one for traveling purposes.
I was greeted with friendly customer service and staff well knowledgable in products and quality assurance. Making a purchase is always a breeze when shopping at Gucci.
I’d highly advise you not to go broke trying to look good for people who have no interest.

I don’t know what is up with this location but I tried to go here twice in the past week and I experienced nothing but negativity. I went on a weekend and the security said he couldn’t let me into the store because they were «understaffed» but it wasn’t even busy inside the store. So I told him, I’ll come back in a little while. When I came back 5 minutes before they were about to close, the security guard told me that they were closed. So I went to Louis Vuitton instead and gave them my money.
I went there again today, to look at something that I’ve been inquiring about and potentially make a purchase but no one approached me except the security guard informing me that there was a sale going on. Since when did security guards become a store associate? After looking around for a couple minutes, I wasn’t even approached by any of the store associates to ask if I needed help which I did because I wanted to look at something I potentially wanted to buy. To my surprise, there were only three people working. I politely asked her if I can see some of their products and asked if they had my item in stock and she was very short with me and not friendly or approachable at all. Another surprise, they didn’t even have my item in stock which made me wonder if it was a popular item or why they didn’t even have it in stock. I don’t even know what the reason was because the associate didn’t bother to tell me or asked if I was interested in their other similar products they had in stock. I guess she didn’t want my sale since she was watching me like a hawk like I was going to steal something. I asked her since when did Gucci start having sales hoping to get more information about potential sales but she didn’t want to tell me anything like it was a highly kept secret. Uhh, HELLO?! Do you not want my business/​money or what ?! I am really trying here.
Highly unprofessional and I do not recommend doing business with this store. I’ve had better experiences at other higher end retailer places and I don’t deserve to be treated like a criminal and watched like a hawk especially at a high end designer retailer. The sales associate didn’t even thank me for coming in to look/​inquire about their products. She was not approachable, not friendly, very short with me, stuck up, and didn’t even bother to be helpful by recommending other products or giving me information about the product I was interested in.
Kudos for you, for not trying to make a sale because you just lost my business.

I bought my gf some earrings and they were defective, took them to the store within a week (on a Friday) and the guy who helped me said he would order a new pair and that they should be in by Wednesday of the following week, I waited and he never called so I called and they told me they should be in by Friday. Today being Friday I went to the store to check and the girl who helped us said they came in but in the wrong color (she was obviously lying because those earrings only come in one color) she then «checked» status and said they should be in by next Tuesday at this point I was bothered by all this and told her that I wanted to make sure they will be in by that day and she was very rude and answered with attitude saying that if I wanted I can get my money back!!! I will never go back to this store, customer service sucks! They treat you like if they are doing you a favor.

I wish I could give this place a 0. Roberto was a dick and so was everyone else there. I came in to have a belt buckle fixed because the belt won’t go through. They said its wear and tear and told me to fuck off. I paid $ 400 for this belt and the buckle is steal. I will never buy here again and be contacting customer service for their poor policy on expensive items. This would NEVER HAPPEN AT NORDSTROM!!!

My wife purchased a silk scarf and a wallet for me as a Christmas gifts, I wore both that day only too notice the next day that the scarf was poorly made the tag was falling off and had very deep creases going across. I took it back to the store and asked for it too be replaced or exchanged for a different item the manager at the time replied they weren’t able too do that but offered to get it repaired, i agreed except its almost spring and i haven’t received it or a call of the where abouts of the scarf i bought in winter and will have too ware in summer. Very very disappointed and horrible customer service well it wasn’t horrible before my wife purchased these items

The staff at this boutique is outstanding. We’ve made a couple recent purchases and each experience was excellent. First off, Enrique assisted us with a belt purchase. Because the belt wasn’t available at the store, he offered to special order it for us. In addition, my husband was also looking for a pair of shoes where our SA from Nordstrom reached out to Sabrina and had it again special ordered. When we came to pick it up, Sabrina wasn’t available but Lydia took over and continued with providing us with excellent service. It did not stop there because the size we ordered did not quite fit so Lydia had to reorder again. In conclusion, we were happy with the purchases, from the people that assisted us over the phone (Rick and another gal) to the floor crew, kudos to all of you!

I’ve made most of my Gucci purchases at this location… The SA’s there have been pretty helpful. And of course the store is very clean. Located in Fashion Valley mall.
This location is not very big, and the selection is a bit smaller than other stores I’ve been to in other states, but it’s still okay. And of course they can have things ordered for you.
They have sales twice a year, in November and July.

Upon arriving I was not greeted or even smiled at, for the next 15 min (there was about 7 people working and only one of them was helping a customer). I walked around the store waiting for someone to help me and no one did, in fact when ever I made contact with a sales associate they would scowl at me. I finally decided on a purse I wanted and proceeded to try to check out; as soon as they saw I was a «real» customer every free sales associate flocked over to me to get there commission from the sale. The first one that got to me asked (even though she already knew the answer) if I had been helped out by anyone, I said I had not and she gave me a fake apology. She came back to me and told me she only had the floor model of the bag, and I said that was fine; she did not offer a discount for the fact it was not a brand new purse. As I was checking out I asked for an extra box and she threw it in the bag, letting me know how special I should feel because they never do that. I got home and looked at my purse, it ended up having a missing zipper, I will be bringing this back over the weekend.
If you like an environment where you feel unwelcome and that every one around you is a catty pretentious snob that couldn’t afford the product they are selling then this store is for you.

I love Gucci. I have to say, it is probably my favorite brand for purses and belts. I also own many of their wedges as they are very comfortable and stylish. This store in particular is just okay. Not my favorite. It always smells strange and the lighting is weird– kind of dingy and a little depressing. It doesn’t have a pleasant shopping atmosphere and the staff are not the most friendly. They never seem to move from behind the nook where the register is located. I prefer the store at South Coast Plaza or the Beverly Hill store. The staff at those stores are more helpful and the inside of the stores are just nicer.

WORST customer service ever. So rude and unhelpful. Will never shop here again. Same items at Nordstrom and 10x better service. Do not waste your time!

Gucci just recently started their 50% off sale to the public on Friday, May 22 (private sale just recently ended on Thursday) on selected items throughout the store.
I just recently became a new customer of Gucci because of their special private sale (the only way I can afford an authentic Gucci bag is through sales like these) and found a few items that I loved and purchased. But wanted to check out the public sale to see if there were additional items I could get (items were quickly gone during the private sale because of the amazing discount).
Since my husband and I are currently in San Diego for the Memorial Day weekend, we came by this Gucci store (at the Fashion Valley Mall, towards the Bloomingdale’s store, specifically located right next to Burberry and Coach and across from the Apple Store). I walked right into their store at 10 am, when they were open for business. But unfortunately the 2 sales associates working at the counter were not ready for me, as they were both either on the phone with a customer or trying to finish with set up around the store.
I waited patiently for someone to help me. Eventually I was shown what handbags were part of the sale, but not shown what other items throughout the store were on sale (including shoes and clothing). Their selection of handbags included in the sale was bigger than another Gucci store that I had recently visited this past week, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything that I liked.
The sales sign was not placed in the correct spot, as I had spotted some items I was interested in. But by the time a sales associate was able to get to me (on the phone this entire time with several customers asking if they have a specific bag and color in stock), I was told that the cleaning ladies in the store (which I did see 2 ladies were cleaning the cases when I first walked in) had accidentally placed the sales signs in the wrong place.
Although this Gucci location is a pretty big size and had more sales items for me to browse through, I was quite disappointed with the lack of service. If I am planning on dropping a few thousand on their high end products, I don’t think it is too much to ask for excellent service. The sales associated working the floor were not ready to handle customers right when they opened and because of that, I probably wouldn’t come back to this particular location again.

I like this particular store has an ok selection, wish it would have more purses and belts, the stores in LA have way more things to choose from, the service is good and every time I shop here I leave happy hehe

Some cool things to choose from but overall their «ready to wear» collection is a little too ostentatious.
The leather goods are great but not amazing.
Louis Vuitton is a better option in this price range for clothes, bags and overall customer service; after all, why spend lots of money here if they don’t treat you better than they do at Old Navy (which is pretty dang good).

Worst customer service ever, never going back again… Didn’t fix or do anything about my belt

The product quality is horrible! The buckle of my bags broke twice already. I submitted my bag repair in November 2013, paid for my repairs first week of January 2014, it is now almost end of March, I still do not have my bag back. Called customer service a few times, very long hold time and the phone just disconnect a few times. Also, the people at customer service were rude. I don’t usually write review, but with the price you pay, the service is absolute horrible. I never experience such issue with Louis Vuitton.

The costumer service over here are suck. They very cold and they not very accommodating. Unless you almost buy the entire store they treat you cold. They only very nice to me when I bought almost the entire store. Go somewhere else for better costumer service!

Gucci products are new to me since I’ve always gone with a competing brand, but since this trip was for my girlfriend, and as long as she walks out happy, this review is getting 5 stars…
My girlfriend came here for an appointment with her personal shopper. I have no taste or eye for women’s accessories so I was glad someone was there to talk to her about what she was picking. So I just sat back and enjoyed my beer. My girlfriend insisted on me getting a new wallet since my LV wallet was near 2 years old… but it only looked a year old… =) So picking out a wallet took me about 3 minutes and I was done.
2 hours later and $ 6,000 lighter, she was finally done. And as my girlfriend walked out of the store, she had a big grin on her face. My job here is done.
Customer service is impeccable. And the free beer was exceptional!
I hope we don’t return soon… =)

Absolutely the worst experience I HAVE EVER HAD… I WILL BE sure to NEVER ever purchase another Gucci Product from the FASHION VALLEY STORE IN SAN DIEGO. I would rather shop at Walmart than ever go into that Store again. God knows I’d get better customer service.

Ok I’m a bit torn here.
I’ve had one ok experience here, one really bad experience, and one really good experience, so I guess that averages out to decent? Regardless it was better than my Burberry experience.
Bad Experience — I walked in. Sales people were chatting each other up. Sat their and stared at the wall where the purse I was trying to buy was. It was on the 3^rd top shelf. I didn’t want to climb up their to grab it but nobody was bothering to help me so I left. Thought I would never want to go back.
Decent Experience — I walked in. Once again Sales people were to cool for school. As I was about to leave after standing their for 5 minutes, I believe the manager walks up and helps me. She was extremely helpful and patient, got my stuff, and helped me out. Decent…
Great experience — I honestly think based on the first two times I came I would rate this place lower if not for this experience. Came in once with the misses and this one sales guy came up and helped us. He was patient, and got all the purses the misses wanted to look like. I looked extremely bored (I was God I was so bored kill me now) so he got me a beer. Yes a beer. Wow. Not even a bud light but some Gucci beer from Europe. After we bought our purse and left he sent the misses a thank you card. She was impressed and to this day she still ask for him when she goes in. That was impressive service.

Another successful trip here and it just proves that these guys know how to give excellent service.
I ordered a bag online but when I received the tote, it wasn’t the size that I was looking for. Even though it was purchased online, I was able to bring it back to the store and there Nick was to help me with the exchange.
I didn’t care for any of the other totes so I ended up picking up a handbag and matching wallet from him. While I was deciding on a bag, he was able to work on buffing out some discoloration that was happening with my guccisissima black leather bag. He brought it back as good as new.
Thanks Nick for providing such excellent service… again! You’re the best!
