Established in 1988.

Our family started in restaurant industry serving San Diego back as late 60s. We were among the new generation of family members who moved to San Diego in the 80s and started with our own branch of a small family oriented restaurant in the new community of PQ and Carmel Mountain. Ever since we have continued to provide and serve our best in parallel with the support of our community.

As a resident who grew and attended local schools and collages, I was attracted back to simple and natural way of operation of my families’ restaurant. I was literally brought up in the kitchen, from the very minute chores right after school to it’s current daily operation full time.

Not a bad place to get Greek food! I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. Our party of 4 was seated right away and given menus. I decided on the falafel in pita, and it wasn’t too long before our food came out. The sandwich was piping hot and the fact that it was wrapped in aluminum foil didn’t quite make it easier to unwrap, but after dealing with that, I ended up enjoying it a lot! Portion size was good and prices were pretty good, but I’d definitely count this more as «comfort food» and not something I’d want to have every day, as it was a heavier meal. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the ambience and the service was just alright, but the food was decent so I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back.

Great little eatery! The service is warm and friendly and the food is delicious. Large portions to satisfy your hunger and not leave you looking around for what next?! Between the outstanding food and the friendly service they have found a loyalist in me! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

To all the idiots that whine about having to pay cash, grow up and get over it.
Since this review is about the food, we stopped in Friday for lunch and ordered the gyros plate. The price was right and flavor was great! Nice atmosphere, service was good, had a nice lunch. Was worried our lunch would take a bit of time because the restaurant was busy, but our lunch was out in about 10 minutes.

Simon M.: Funny how you only have sarcastic responses to the negative reviews of your establishment but have nothing grateful or gracious to say to the many Unilocalers who have given you 4 and 5 stars.
If you’re so down on debit/​credit cards payments, why even have a reader in your place? Just remove it, be a «cash only» spot, and keep it moving! No need to get all pissy at your customers because they want to use debit cards. It’s 2016, bruh.
And you want to defend yourself against EVERY complaint about your mediocre Greek food. Sometimes, a simple and genuine «sorry, we’ll make it right» does wonders. Try it sometime.

We went here in search of Avgolemono soup because our fav place was out & when I have a sore throat from allergies, it is the ONLY surefire CURE! I was dissapointed by the soup-​it wasn’t lemony enough, and tasted to sweet, but the stuffed grape leaves were out of this world! seriously amazing stuffed grape leaves and my man thoroughly enjoyed the gyros!

Great food and service with a smile. My husband and I came here with his parents and our baby. I was a bit nervous since it was our first restaurant adventure with the baby. But, it was such a nice mellow environment.
I enjoyed the chicken salad. The chicken was served on a skewer with zucchini. It was grilled and seasoned to perfection. It came with fresh pita and a delicious dipping sauce. It was filling without being too much food. (Well, I did have to pawn off some pita to my husband.)

Though I have not been back to try the falafel I went on and on about in my initial review, I’ve decide to up my rating a star because the owner of the business contacted me with great concern regarding my poor experience at his restaurant. Very commendable. He even gave me tips as to where I can find other superb falafels in SD. Food I can’t quite speak to, but great customer service!

On a scale from 1 to 10 I give this restaurant a five there’s another greek place down the street that’s off the charts delicious but this restaurant didn’t knock my socks off, it’s pretty basic it was just OK. As well as the service.
I will NOT be returning here like ever.
I figure I should mention what I ordered I ordered a Greek salad along with the Gyro.
Greek salad came w/​dressing on it however is very bland had no flavor whatsoever & the gyro the meat wasn’t flavored well at all and it taziki sauce was average.
Travel about five minutes down the street there’s another greek restaurant next to the movie theater you won’t regret going there.

I just called to order dinner for me and my family. When ordering I asked the guy on the phone to substitute Tzatsiki sauce because I cannot eat dairy. Instead of saying yes, he asked me how I will be paying, when I told him credit card, he then said no. At first I didn’t understand what paying with a credit card had to do with substituting an ingredient. To make sure I understood him correctly I asked him, «so you won’t substitute the sauce because I am paying with a credit card?» And he replied yes and only if I paid in cash he would.
He claims that I am stealing his profit margin by using a credit card because the credit card company charges him. Merchant services charge between 1.5% and 3% of a transaction which means that in a $ 40 transaction he would be charged between $.02 and $.03 plus maybe a small fee of $.25.
So if he is so stingy to pay about $.30 for a credit card transaction in order to make ac$ 40 sale then he doesn’t know how business works.
Regardless of the credit card fee it shouldn’t have anything to do with substituting an ingredient.

June: I was in between 3.5 and a 4 stars. So I decided that a 4 it is. Why the debate? Their service was rude, I kind of felt like we weren’t welcomed at first. We weren’t allowed to split the bill but she was able to give us our exact amount with tax because everything was done manually anyways. That was weird as she stood there and look at us. We didn’t know u can’t split so I’m scrambling for cash.
I ordered the combo plate and it was was more than plenty for two people to share. But of course after working out I couldn’t help it but to eat it all myself. Definitely kind of regret it after I was done. The food was super good, I do like the salad, fresh veggies is a plus always. The pita bread was nice and soft. The chicken was good, actually not dry at all.
I really like the idea of sitting outside and enjoying the meal. Their inside looks a bit more than casual. Great place to return to.

OMG I love these guys. Best Greek food/​Mediterranean food I have found hands down. The food is stupid good, huge portions and an amazingly affordable price.
Funny thing is I will go in and without asking they are bringing me a Gyros plate, Pita bread etc as my usual… I wonder how much I have gone there for them to know my favorites?

I’m a sucker for tasty Mediterranean food, and Greek food is pretty similar and equally delicious! My bro-​friend Cesar C. recommended this place to me, so we’ve had lunch here twice.
I’ve ordered the following:
— Gyro salad ($ 9) — romaine lettuce with lots of tomatoes, onions, and feta cheese. I would recommend ordering the dressing on the side, otherwise the lettuce is sitting in a large pool of olive oil vinaigrette. The salad has a very generous amount of gyro meat, so the protein to salad ratio is pretty even. This is served with pita bread and the tzatziki yogurt sauce for dipping
— Chicken kebob plate ($ 11): juicy grilled chicken breast kebobs on a skewer, soooo delicious. The portion its much smaller compared to the amount of Gyro meat they give you in other entrees. You can substitute the rice pilaf for extra salad, and still enjoy some carb intake from the pita bread too
Definitely a good place for lunch if you’re in the Carmel Mountain or Poway area. Service is quick, portions are pretty good, and the patio seating area is wonderful during the summer because it still stays very cool despite it being a hot and humid summer day. Cheers!

Some coworkers and I decided to try this place out across the street from work for lunch. I was surprised that it wasn’t busy at all at noon on a weekday in a business area. It has nice outdoor shaded seating for hot days.
I ordered a gyros plate for around $ 10. It’s a lot of food even for me, so I barely finished it. The meat was tasty and just what you’d expect gyros to taste like. But I found a strand of hair in the ranch container, and told the waitress, and they gladly replaced my plate. Wouldn’t mind coming back if I have a Greek food craving.

Hi and thanks for your visit. Beside Sunday’s, we also close couple weeks a year for vacation and have done so for past twenty five years that we have been paying for our business license, and taking people’s money and losing it on black jack tables.

We were on a hunt for a healthy dinner and this was one of our options. We decided to try this Café and so glad we did. I’m totally digging this place! We opted to sit outside. This place is casual enough to wear your workout gear (as we did). There is indoor (nicer seating) and outdoor patio seating.
I opted for the cup lemon soup and the lamb/​beef gyro (listed under the apps). Total came to about $ 10, then tax and tip. I thought this was a steal in comparison to a dinner we had across the way at Fish District.
The soup was refreshing and light. Just enough citrus, and the gyro was full with amazing flavors! I was stuffed by the end of dinner. Very delicious!
The service could have been better, but the food is pretty good. Nice cas place to grab a quick bite or to grab a bite with friends. This is located in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s and a Champagne bakery so parking can be brutal during peak times.

The food is excellent but the service is average. I usually order take-​out so I didn’t really know what to expect with the service. I stopped by tonight with a few friends and decided to sit outside on the patio. I ordered the lemon chicken soup and Greek salad and my friends ordered a gyros sandwich and a gyros/​chicken kabob plate.
We all really loved the food and thought that the portions were generous. I will definitely continue to come back again and again for the food. I think that they need to work on their customer service because our waitress didn’t even smile at us and didn’t stop by to ask us if our food was okay. We also didn’t get our water refilled.
TIP: Try the lemon chicken soup! It’s amazing!
TIP #2: You aren’t allowed to split the bill if you’re using more than one credit card.

Have visited on numerous occasions for lunch during the week and enjoy their outdoor seating (you don’t feel like you are in a small strip mall). There are typically tables open during the week and a choice of inside or out.
Food: Love the hummus, tzatziki and gyros. I typically get the gyros salad and there is PLENTY of food. I always leave quite full. Occasionally the dressing is too heavy, so if I remember I ask for this on the side. the Chicken salad is also delicious and a good size. If i forget to ask for the dressing on the side it can be disappointing.
Atmosphere: Pretty basic, but on the corner of a strip-​mall type area so that it wraps around and faces away toward another street. There are some Greek decorations, but like is said, pretty basic and functional.
Service: The few times I’ve been there are only two individuals working (or that I can see) one cooking and one helping with prep and serving tables. The service is friendly, but quite slow. We typically have to go to the front to ask for our check, and the food is somewhat delayed. If we didn’t have to get back to work this probably wouldn’t be a problem.
Overall I enjoy going here when time permits and would recommend for lunch.
