Went in today for the first time and the bread had mold on it. Never again. Don’t recommend

The smell in the air, The freshness of the bread, and the satisfaction to know your eating something fresh with out the added cr*p of a big store bread. The rude guy from the rest of the comments is gone now(which is a good thing!) Now you always get a greeting and a happy guy behind the counter Sometimes his wife helps and she can be a little ***** sometimes but not to the point of rudeness just not to friendly. This store is down the block from house and we have been getting out bread here for the last few years. Its inexpensive and the bread Is great we even stopped getting our bread strait from TJ because the quality was the same and with gas prices it ended up being the same darn price. 5 stars for the bread –1 star for the wife = an over all happy little shop with good bread

4 Stars for the fresh and delicious bread, the wonderful variety and the smell of the bread when you walk in. 1 Star for the snotty, sangronisimo that works as a baker and doubles(quite unfortunately) as the cashier. He is about 30, tall and needs someone to tell him that he is fortunate if people are coming to his store to buy his bread instead of going to the big Mexican market down the road… people just don’t get it. I won’t be back. he’s been rude the three times I’ve been there… over it. If you don’t care about customer service, then by all means, by your bread there and get out as fast as you can if that sourpuss is working.

sometimes you just need an empanada de piña while you’re doing your laundry… no? am i the only one? luckily, gonzalez is in the same shopping center as a laundromat. huzzah. pretty standard panaderia; not the largest selection, but your standard stand-bys(bolillos, galletas, pan dulces, empanadas) are all there. i’ve come here a few times, and take friends here to help them lose their mexican pastry virginity. it was quite hot when i walked into the bakery this time around; this is promising, considering a bakery constantly cranking out baked goods should be hot. good quality pastries, although the savory bread(with jalapeños y queso) i got from the warmer was not warm… cash only. pastries run under a buck, with cookies three for one.
