Excellent establishment. Ken bought right above the spot price for my gold panda! He is even going to look at a couple of diamond rings for me next week. I would highly recommend this store to sell your gold or silver.

Gold Trust Store is highly-​unique in that it trades a variety of rare substances and currency ranging from Silver to Palladium. I’ve heard a lot of financial experts recommend metals like gold and silver as wise investment opportunities. If you have an interest in these investments, they offer a free gold kit to help out. Although I haven’t made this particular investment, I’ve thought about it and am glad to know there’s a local place to buy and sell when I’m ready.
Also excellent is that Gold Trust Store has an above-​average selection of various jewelry. When I needed a gift for my wife’s birthday, the options were notably more unique than you’d find at a chain jewelry store. Rather than being limited to a few key brands, their selection spans a wide range since it’s all high-​quality jewelry that’s been traded in. Luckily, I did end up finding something I think she’ll dig. Seems really high-​quality and I felt like it was a win/​win.
Definitely do not get this place confused with a lot of the other buy and sell places around San Diego. It’s jewelry was significantly better than «mall stores», and it offers a lot of options for buying rare metals and currencies. Hello, I just went in this beautiful jewelry store to sell some silver today. I felt safe and secure in the store as it has a safety gate inside the store. I was greeted by a beautiful and wonderful woman named Debra. She was very friendly and gave me spot for my silver. One thing I noticed a lot about this store is the service is more than just great but very personal. She even said a prayer for me, and me being a god fearing man it was nice to get blessed by this person I just met. I will do business there often from now on. I recommend anyone in the mood to shop for jewelry or even gold or silver coins or even bullion this is a very friendly place to go. they even sell junk silver. I wish Debra and her family all the blessing that they can get and thank her from the bottom of my heart on how she made me feel right at home. no pressure at all to buy or sell anything. I brought a friend here who had some jewelry that belonged to her late mother. The owners were so incredibly nice. They tested all the jewelry to determine what was real and did the tests right in front of us, which we thought was pretty neat. After determining the weight and quality of the gold, they made an offer that was far more than what we expected. They also connected my friend with a jeweler who refurbished an antique ring and replaced the stone in it so it could be worn again. Gold Trust sold the stone for a very reasonable price. They also buy/​sell coins and currency. I wish we had more family owned businesses like this in San Diego, with such honesty, ethics and customer service. No hard sales and no pressure. I will certainly be back again. I highly recommend this place!

Great Service, Friendly Atmosphere.
I went in to the Gold Trust store with my grandfather’s collection of old Mexican coins. My mother passed away recently and my sisters and brother and I found it when we were cleaning out her house. Ken Fabian took the time to look through the collection carefully to see if there were any valuable items. He told me a little bit about the coins, and when my siblings and I decided that we would like to split the collection up and each save a portion as a legacy of our family, Mr. Fabian divided them up for us free of charge.

I came to Gold Trust Store because of great reviews on Unilocal.Maybe it was just not my good day when I visited. When I came in, there was 1 customer ahead of me with the store owner (the wife). In my 1^st impression, she was a very nice woman. When finalizing the deal, the customer asked so many questions and to my surprise, the woman (store owner) said this statement so many times «I’m sorry I’m so disorganized and not good at Math. My husband could explain it clearly if he were here». She tried to explain how the calculations worked, but she couldn’t find a sentence how to make the explanation understandable. I had to wait for 40 mins before finally she served me.
I had few small gold jewelries to appraise & sell, plus couple others that I wanted them tested if they’re silver or not. She got 1 gold bracelet and after several tests, she concluded it was 14K. In the middle of our conversation, a regular customer of theirs came in. So, she put me on hold and decided to serve that person first because it should take a short time. OK, I waited again…
Afterward, she went back to me and gave me a quote of my bracelet. She came up with a number, but when I asked her to explain how she got the number, how much % the store will pay me out of the original cost, she was confused and she sounded a bit offended. On top of that, she apologized so many times that she was not good at Math and that she had been doing it only for 3 years. Excuse me? 3 years and she’s still unable to understand the formula of the calculation? IMO, she shouldn’t do the business. How could you work in such industry where you are so not good with numbers?
Not only that, she added that I should come back another day when gold price goes up & when her husband is there so I could get a better understanding. Afterward, I asked her to help me to test if my other jewelries were silver or not. After testing just one, I asked for another one, and she said «I’m sorry I can’t do it, my hands are burning, I’m so busy, I have so many other things to do and walk my dog out.» Hey, there was no other customer?! So, I asked her if she would suggest me to make an appointment next time. She said to me that she couldn’t check my jewelries unless I surely wanted to sell. BUT who told me to come back another day first? It was her! Plus there is a big board saying «FREE APPRAISAL» — this should be taken down, seriously, after hearing what she just said to me! I didn’t go there just to get appraisal and leave. I wanted to sell some definitely, yet she gave me a negative attitude in the end. When walking out, I told her the reason I went there was because of Unilocal’s great reviews of their business. All of sudden, she felt bad for «kicking me out forcefully» and asked me to get their business card, I refused. And then she asked me to come again on Thursday or Friday because her husband would be there. I told her «I don’t know. I came here today because I took a day off and I need a day off to do this thing.» Well… Woman, you just lost 1 customer. Your husband should teach you how to understand the Math, to give a better customer service and to not kick a customer out like that.
Later on the day, I went to another gold buyer in different area. This store has its own X-​ray machine to test my jewelries. My bracelet is apparently 18K and I got 35% more than the quote Gold Trust Store gave me. I’m so glad I found that store. I won’t go back to Gold Trust Store, I’m sorry… I’m just very disappointed with the way the female store owner treated me.

Came here to sell a couple of old bracelets based on the reviews here on Unilocal.They were absolutely right. Hands down the nicest staff and highly professional. Loved the fact that he said I might want to shop around but to be honest, I was fine with the quote he gave me and his honesty made me want to be a customer. Highly recommended! I’ll be bringing in some old coins as soon as I can too!

This family owned business is one of the best I have been to. I would recommend this store to anyone in the San Diego area. They were honest and so polite. They really care about good customer service, which is something I always look for in a business!

Amazing family business, went in while I was on vacation and was so impressed with the honesty and information this sweet couple gave me. This place is great! I had three rings to sell and wasn’t sure how much I should get for them. They made me an offer, recommended other places where I might be offered more, and promised the original amount if I found I couldn’t do better elsewhere. I highly recommend this place if your selling jewelry or coins.

I went into this store out of curiosity. I have a lot of random pieces at home and do not know what is real. I have them a couple of examples and one teeny, tiny bracelet was worth $ 70! I’m definitely coming back here. They are honest, nice and will test your jewelry right in front of you

I came in here to sell some jewelry and I got the best price by far in San Diego. The people are so nice and very professional. I came back to see their numismatic person (who is only there on Thursday-​Saturday) who gave me a great deal on some coins I needed to sell. I came away with more money than I expected and it was an easy and seamless transaction.

I previously went to a store to have a ring appraised, but they took one look at it and threw out a number. I didn’t feel confident in the appraisal, and decided to take it here for a second opinion because it was across the street.
Deborah have me the sweetest greeting! She did several tests on my ring and calculated multiple times to give me the best price she could for it. I truly felt that this appraisal was accurate and we’ll done.
Her husband has a great wealth of knowledge of coins and jewelry and I would encourage anyone to come in and pick his brain.
In the store they offer a variety of things for sale. Ranging from vintage crystal, coins, necklaces, watches and plenty of other trinkets!

I am not one to write reviews, but I feel compelled to write this one.
My mother had passed away in 2005 leaving me her jewelry. She had some beautiful heirloom pieces and some not so pretty pieces. I knew the majority of the pieces I wanted to sell, but because it was my mother’s I had a hard time parting with it, plus I didn’t have a clue on how to go about in selling gold.
Which brings us to 2012 and the Gold Trust Store, my husband and I heard about them through our church. So, we decide to try them out. We were warmly greeted by Ken Fabian, the owner. He proceeded to weigh each piece and test the purity of the gold while writing down all the info. Through all this he was also educating us on the process. Ken was very knowledgeable about precious metals and patient with us because we had lots of questions and he did his very best to answer them all.
At the end, Ken offered us an amount that was many, many, many times over than what we had expected … we truly were surprised!
We are extremely grateful to Ken at the Gold Trust Store for his honesty and his patience towards us. We highly recommend the Gold Trust Store!
After our visit, we have heard horror stories of people selling their gold or other precious metals to local competitors, either they were low-​balled or treated poorly, in that I say go to the Gold Trust Store where you will walk away satisfied!
